Dating Advice...

#1 Don't kiss with your teeth. No teeth. It hurts when you bite people.

2. Never sleep with your ex's friends or with your friend's ex.
3. Never express openly your virginity status.
4. Open the **** up with girls.
5. Don't try to go in between a friend and a relationship.

but that was ALL we did this weekend....


6. Don't make out/do stuff on a bed that someone else has to sleep on without their permission.
7. Don't tell someone who likes you that you like their best friend (unless you want them to go away), and especially don't expect that someone to set you up with their friend.
8. If you're walking in front, you have the responsibility of opening the door. If it's a vestibule, then someone else can open the second set of doors if you've already held the first set of doors open. If you want to open the door for a girl, you'd better walk in front of her first.
9. They say you're supposed to wait three days before calling someone for the first time. But sometimes it's a stupid rule, because everyone knows about it, so that kind of defeats the purpose.
10. but facebooking the person about 24 hours after you meet them is ok. No sooner.

How do you kiss with your teeth? Isn't that just called biting then?

well some people try to be extra sexy/cute by nibbling on the tongue or the lip at the end of the kiss, but they end up just biting down hard and it hurts. They don't know how to be....careful with it.

11.) (I'm not sure if this is the same as 5) Don't have a friend-that-turned-into-something-more girl/boy friend. It gets very awkward.
12.) Speak openly about the relationship. Honesty will almost always work out for the best in the long run.
13.) There's a fine line between caring and bothering. Don't cross the line.
14.) Compliments are wonderful, but make it a meaningful one. False, sucking-up ones fail completely.
15.) Keep your promises, unless there's life-threatening consequences.
16.) If it's just a fling, or short thing, make sure the other person knows about it. Otherwise, don't start.
17.) Start with an end in mind. (This one isn't as imperative, because it kinda kills the mystery of love I guess, but it'll save you quite a bit of heartache.
18.) Don't dwell on ex's. It's done and it's over with. There's nothing you can do. It's already happened once, it shouldn't happen again.
19.) Don't flirt, or even joke with members of the same sex as your current partner.
20.) Make up your mind about things. Being wishy-washy is not the way to go.

(Not all of mine are gender-neutral, some are more aimed at guys than girls.)

21.) Talk. I've already said it, but I'll say it again. Communication makes relationships happen, and prevents pain.

11. I disagree. Sometimes friends turned into relationships can work wonderfully. Just don't expect to be best friends if the relationship ends (because that RARELY happens without getting back together again).

17. I don't think it's a matter of starting with an end in mind (because then people have different ends and that's a hard problem to solve) but more about not thinking too much about the end until you get there.

11.) True. I guess a better way to put it would be to say that if you value the friendship, don't take the risk? Usually there is a distinction though. Some people are just friends, and some people are more than friends.

You can open a door for someone from behind o.O. It's necessary for the second door, since you let them pass you on the first one.

That requires reaching in front of them, so you might as well try to move forward.

Er, but it doesn't take any extra moving to open the door from the back.

If the door opens outward, it does.

Well if the doors opened outward, you wouldn't really be much behind the person if you held the first door. Unless the two sets opened different ways, which would be retarded.

I've actually seen that and I thought it was quite stupid.

Boy walks in front of Girl, opens door outward. Girl WALKS THRU DOOR and faces the second door faster than Boy can run in front of her and open the door outward. Problem.


Boy walks in front of girl, walks thru door that opens inward and holds it open. Girl walks thru door, Boy can't hold door open long enough for girl to walk thru before Girl reaches other door. Problem.

GIRL OPENS SECOND SET OF DOORS.
