Makes total sense, I just thought it was funny that your username was KevDog and all of a sudden you are like hey I'm Tom. By the way, were you on vacation or something because you didn't post for a while? |

Sometimes I get real busy with work/social life and forget to post. I wish I was on vacation. |

Speaking of vacation. When is everyone moving in? I think I am looking to move in (I have no place yet, sadly) August 14th.

Probably around that day as well. I finish my summer job on August 11th, so June and July are probably going to be devoted to finding a place.

I think orientation starts Monday 8/21, so I'd imagine that I would move in around the 15th. I definitely want a few days at least to get a feel for the area and get settled in my place. Maybe we can even get some people from here together to meet before school starts.

Summer jobs are so overrated, I'm glad I don't have one.

for some reason, i keep thinking i have to move on the first of a month, which is a huge problem for me. i can't move june 1st, too soon, or july 1st, because my roommate is going to be in spain, and if we can't both move out, neither of us can, because it's a 2br, and i can't leave him with the whole rent payment. august first is out too because i'll be on vacation in st. thomas and he'll still be studying in spain (he's a teacher and has a summer master's program where he studies in spain in the summers).
thanks to this thread, i now realize i can just have a move-in date of like mid august. sweet. i'll just look for places in july and take it from there. damn i am an idiot. i've literally been trying to think about how to work this for about 2 weeks now. |

Yeah, most places will just prorate the rent if you move in later than the first of the month.
I think I'll try to get an apartment by Aug. 1 and slowly move in - I'll probably visit my parents and then come back to the apartment a few days before orientation. |

Hi, I just found the message board through Myspace. I am both excited and nervous about starting at Villanova law in the fall, but I think it's going to be great. I am 26, female(we seem to be in short supply!), and live in Philadelphia with my boyfrined. I've lived downtown for about 6 years, and there are many more fun Center City bars than some of those giant clubs mentioned in that other thread!
I graduated from Temple in 2004 with a degree in journalism and have been serving and bartending, and not using me degree, at a fine-dining restaurant since then. I love my job but it's time for something more. Looking forward to meeting all of you. |

Hmmm, super excited about law school, know nothing about it... really friendly. I'm incapable of excelling at sports, although I shamelessly try. :) I'm in the Public Interest Scholars Program -- or so I think. Anyways, feel free to im me at tahliya786. and this facebook thing... is it worth it? Facebook or friendster? Lol. Also, if anyone need's a roommate - please please let me know! |

Just wanted to post a farewell to everyone on here that has posted over the past few months. I was accepted into a school (Wake Forest) last week that I couldn't decline, even though I was very excited to be a 1L at Villanova. I've really enjoyed posting with all of you and I wish you all the best of luck.
I'm sure I'll be following the Nova basketball team and their potential championship run next year thinking "what if" as they make their run. Once again, best luck to all of you in surviving the 1L year and beyond. |
