I just checked because of this thread.. small world because I know my mentor but he doesn't know me. I'm 95% sure he dated my roommate in undergrad and the it ended badly. I hope we don't have to have much interaction with the person.

That's unfortunate...I guess it's helpful to have somebody who is willing to answer questions about the law school, but I agree even in a less awkward situation, I don't really think its necessary to have a "mandatory friend" of sorts. Also, there's a good chance that I'll be older than my mentor since I took a few years off before going back to school (not that it really matters at this age level). |

Are you Ben Strubel? Because I got mine and that person was carbon copied on the thing. She asked if I wanted to go for happy hour next week or something, I think I will...I am all about meeting as many people as possible prior to starting this experience. |

Ya I figured that because mine also had another students name on it. I just didn't get why you asked me if I was Ben. I thought you know my name was Pete and the Bronz comes from the first part of my last name. |
