Thats y I'm so glad I go 2 a Christian school now, @ my old school, I had 2 learn about evolution.

I really didn't mind learning about the big bang theory or evolution it just educates me more so that when people who come along that believe in that kind of stuff I know where there coming from so i can defend myself

i use a christian curriculum that teaches you about the theory of evolution...and also shares the flaws in it. i don't think it's wrong that they teach evolution and such in schools...i do think it's wrong that they don't teach other "theories" as well though. such as creation (though i believe it's fact) - or intelligent design - which is essentially hte same thing.

I absolutely agree with you. I mean, come on, if you want to defend your belief effectively, you're going to have to look at both side and really try to understand it. Like Kellie says, find flaws in it.

Well, see... They don't have to go, in schools, and spend an entire unit on the Big Bang Theory, like they did in my school.

Besides, scientists contradict themselves when they say that the Universe was "created" by the Big Bang. The most obvious thing standing out about that is the theory that "matter cannot be created or destroyed." Of course, most everything in science is theory.

Such as evolution... MICRO-Evolution has been proven. The evolution they spend so long teaching us about... well... that's merely a theory. For some odd reason, they took God out of schools and, from what I gather, said, "OH! Well, everything that we have now points toward this, so let's go ahead and take everything else out of the curriculum but this, okay?" Honestly, the science teacher I had last year admitted to going to church and admitted that he was disappointed that they don't let him teach about Intelligent Design. He says quite a few teachers, except the ones who don't have a background in some form of church, or who do not believe in God, or even a God, are a little disappointed.

Sorry if this all sounds like more of a rant than anything, but I've been thinking of what I could say if a SCIENCE teacher insulted my Christianity. I've wanted, so bad, to just stand up when a science teacher, when asked by a student, says that all the "mumbo-jumbo" about how "someone" or "something" created the universe is a "hoax" or is "a bunch of crap," and say, in a loud voice, "You can't prove it isn't real with Science, but I can prove it's real by experience. Don't say it isn't real without your precious scientific proof, because... well... first of all it goes against what you're teaching us!" And then sit back down. (Knowing the teacher I have now, she'd probably think that I was saying I was smarter than her because, in all honesty, she's not that great of a teacher, but... yeah...)

This is just all a big thing to me, me being fairly young in my faith. It's only been a year and I've had so many things happen to me that I can't just sit by and let this stuff go on. I learned the truth. I want to spread the truth. But, I need some support from people like you guys. I mean, I'm not saying "OH MY GOSH HELP ME CHEW THIS GUY OUT LOL!" But I wouldn't mind if I got a few suggestions.

If we do write a letter I would help.....I had to to listin to the big bang theroy for like a month...and I didnt like it one bit....in fact I agrued with my teacher how this crap is all wrong and that evoultion is wrong...


if we write the letter we could be nice about it and not just come out and yelling thats it is wrong..even tho it is wrong...

we could come to a nice apporach and say that this "thing" mocks millions or even billions of people's belifes...
