MISSION 1: SHAKE DOWN, First mission of the USS Diminucov

Hal nodded. "Good to hear Doctor. Now to get back to what we were talking about. This is a basic shake down cruise right now, but we need to keep an eye out on the Klingons, I have had reports about them gathering to maybe cause trouble in the area, so we need to be on our toes."

He looked at each member of his team in turn and smiled. "But we will be able to handle it, it's not something we haven't been trained for."

Ashton made his way to the Commodore's office, he had been running late ever since he had come aboard, First he was late for his Medical exam and then he couldn't even remember for some odd reason where his Quarters where.

What ticked him off was that he had to aske a Ensign to point him in the direction of Senior Staff Quarters, that made him feel embarrased.

He got to the office doors and walked in, all of other senior staff was already here, they had been here for sometime now. He looked over at the Commodore and came to attention.

"Sorry Commodore for being late for the Staff meeting, I've been running late all morning. I first had to stop off at sickbay to get my crew exam out of the way. Won't happen again Sir." he said.

Hal looked up and nodded. "Have a seat. Everyone i would like you to meet our Executive Officer Lt Colonel Ashton Archer. Welcome aboard, and don't worry about it right now. Glad that you could join us. I was just getting ready to discuss what our first mission is going to be about, why don't you grab yourself something to drink, and join us." He had a warm smile, that didn't show any anger, or distrust, just amusement that they Lt Col had a little bit of trouble, shows that everyone was human.

Indigo looked at the newcomer from her spot next to K'senya, listening to the intro of the newcomer from the CO. Another marine by the look of his uniform.

She nodded to the man as she went back familiarzing herself with the ship current state of operations.

Thomas nodded. "Thank you, doctor," he said. He then listened intently to the rest of the briefing. When the Exec was introduced, he frowned, but said nothing, but sat thinking to himself.

Why in blue blazes is a Marine the Exec? Shouldn't the Lt. Colonel be the Mardet Commander? But, then again, if he were Mardet Commander, he'd be a 1st Lieutenant at most, since a Constitution Class Starship usually warrants a platoon. Oh well.

He then shrugged, and continued to listen.
