Title: One last interview before the show.

This guy they call a freak - August 1, 2009 04:45 AM (GMT)
Brad Threfall is outside Chris P.'s locker room.

Ladies and gentlemen, one of the people involved in the #1 contender's match tonight, Chris P.!

Chris emerges from his dressing room in his new ring gear- white short tights with black flame design on the sides, his name on front in black letters, his initials on back in the same letters, black kneepads, and black boots with his initials on them in white. He's also wearing a graphic tee with his picture on it.

Whoa, this was unexpected

Well, I finally got the ring gear I ordered when I lost my bag and I figured why can't the time be now to debut the new Chris P. t-shirt, on sale right now at UHW.com?

And the plug! Now Chris, where exactly do you stand right now in your preparation for tonight?

You know, Brad, I've had two long weeks to think about what I was going to do and what I was going to say when I came out to the Garden for tonight's show and after awhile I said to myself, why do I need to let my words do the talking when my actions will do just as well?

You haven't had much to say, though.

I know, but when it's such a big show as Sacrifice is one needs to contemplate. It's one of the biggest nights of the year in professional wrestling. You can't just rush into it all willy-nilly. You need to pick your words carefully. You need to know that if you screw up anything you say or do here, chances are you're gonna end up crashing and burning.

Sounds a little X Games ish.

Not really, even though it is that time of year again. Big shoutout to all my boys at X in LA this year...wish I could be there watching you compete but I got bigger fish to fry. Travis, get better soon.

Now, you likened your quest to climbing a mountain...tell us more about what made you go in that direction.

You see, Brad, this is why you haven't learned anything yet. Asking me stupid questions like that. Haven't you ever heard of metaphors?

Alright. Your opponent, James Jackson, has been conspicuously absent and still has yet to show up tonight. What do you suppose is going through his mind right now?

Whatever it is it sure ain't pretty because from what I hear he got into a little snafu with someone's family. I want it to get resolved before I go into the ring tonight, because I'd hate to go on and face Mac Daddy Squid with a countout win. Then I'll never hear the end of it.

You keep bringing up the fact that Squid will win...are you aware that Enigmah's in the match?

Brad, we've all seen Niggy a lot over the years. We know what she's capable of doing. But you know as well as I do that with those friggin' degenerate Freaks Army motherfuckers roaming around the ring it's a handicap match and I don't like those odds for her.

But you think you can overcome that should you win?

You don't get to be a nine-time world champ without having to fight with odds stacked against you. I've been in matches before against bigger and badder. The Freaks Army does not intimidate me in any way. Hell, if Mac Daddy Squid was really a champ then he wouldn't need them to do his dirty work for him.

That's a pretty heavy accusation you're making there.

The one thing I've learned about stables over the years is that they can work both for you and against you. Now, I've wrestled on both sides of the spectrum in my career. I've had deafening standing ovations and I've been booed out of buildings bigger than the Garden. But in all my years never once did I have anything go wrong for me when I was in or faced a stable. Everyone stayed out of my way and the ones that didn't LEARNED to stay out of my way after awhile. The facts are I'll take on whoever I've got to take on to have the UHW Universal Championship placed around my waist. As far as I'm concerned, it doesn't matter who you bring, they're all gonna fall by the hand of Chris P.

So can we gather that you're going to win tonight and take the title away from Mac Daddy Squid, Enigmah, or whoever else has it at the end of tonight?

Brad, James Jackson is the second to last step toward the brass ring. Whoever manages to survive, whether Enigmah can overcome the odds or if Mac Daddy Squid reigns again like he always seems to do lately, it's only a matter of time now. Because it's come too far at this point, my journey, to not be fulfilled. And it's gonna happen sooner rather than later, whether you're ready for it or not.

Chris looks at Brad like he wants him to say something.

What?

Say my line.

I guess that, ladies and gentlemen, is the truth.

See, you're learning.

Chris walks off.
