Loth knelt himself onto the cobblestone ground afore the large stone tablet before him, careful to not let his robes brush into any dirt, lest his white and blue robes become dirty. Within the tablet was the body of a commoner, but even the commoners deserved to have nice-looking graves. This man was the father of 12 kids, 6 of which hold farms that provide a large piece of Egypt's produce. He might not have been a noble, but even after his death, he was helping to keep the entire country alive for years to come. Such a man deserved at least a nice grave, he thought, as he tugged the dry weeds that poked themselves through the sands aside the tablet.
"Blood Orchid for blessings in the afterlife," he spoke quietly, gingerly pulling a small red plant from his satchel bag. Loth began to mumble a blessing, spoken in the Hebrew that the first humans had spoken. Some might've found it strange for an Egyptian to speak a Hebrew blessing to a dead Egyptian man; but it made sense to Loth. It was the first language anyone on earth had spoken; it would make sense if it was the one they spoke in the afterlife, whether or not the Israelites spoke it.
Loth heard the shuffle of feet behind him, but ignored it. Many people visited their departed after death. Besides; it was Anubis' job to ward off unwanted visitors, not him...
