Kepi walked slowly into the temple, her eyes filling with tears as she did. She hadnt been back here since her mothers death, the memories it held to dear to her heart to face before now. But today, on the anniversary of her mothers death she felt drawn to this place, Seth's home. Felt compelled to come here and face her memories head on with no regard for anything or anyone else.

Her father didnt care, of this she was sure. He was probably at home lost in a tankard of mead by this time. It seemed that while Kepi lost herself in her greif by drowing in self-contimplation, her father chose to drow himself in alcohol. Fine with Kepi, she couldnt stand the sight of him at this point anyways. His red hair and beard so like her liberally peppered with grays now, he only made her remember the anger she felt the day she found he wasnt home to protect her mother from the arrow that killed her because he was off in a tavern drinking. So its not exactly like his drinking was a new vice for him.

Striding up to the main altar Kepi stood in front of Seth's statue with tears streaming down her fair face. her hair whipping around her at the breeze that filled the open air temple. Hands clenched in fists Kepi ignored the sting as her nails dug into her palms. The pain centered her. Looking into the face of the god she let a angry smirk curl her lips. "So you are the great god that my mother gave her life serving? So great that he let her die by a senseless act of violence?" Kepi turned her face away from the statue, her long red hair flying into her face, blinding her. "Damn you...." She wispered under her breath as she felt the brutal burn of tears start again behind her blue eyes.

((PS, there's an h in Whispered.)

"I assure you, maiden with beauty of the gods, that Seth had no doing with the demise of which you speak; and if he did, Seth did not think the sacrifice was unworthy. I would even cast lots to say he doesn't even know you exist, or more accurately, who your mother was. Seth is more focused on his Kingdom, and not being slain by Osiris or Ra. You're but a mere peasant by the looks of you; what makes you think that Seth knows anything of your sorrows?"

Loth spoke, stepping out from the shadows behind her. She'd caught his attention on his way through, and he'd chosen to follow her, and see what she was up to. He wasn't normally nosy as such, but curiosity had struck him. He'd gotten close enough to hear her talking to Seth's temple.

"Furthermore, casting damnation onto Seth in his temple will surely earn you lashings, casting into the concubines, or even slaying. Perhaps you should release your sorrows and look closer at your god; otherwise, you'll be leading a sorrowed and painful life, pretty one. Oh; forgive me. I haven't introduced myself. I am Prince Lothtep, son of the Apepian Royalty."

Lost in her own sorrows Kepi hadnt heard anoyone approach, and was startled when the man spoke. Whipping around, her re hair blinded her for a moment, flying into her face before falling gently against her shoulders. He was speaking to her in a manner she wasnt used to. As if she was but a commoner. He said as much in his little speech to her on the dangers of cursing a god.

She stood suddently, her legs unfolding beneath her with catlike grace until she stood at her normal meager stature. Crossing her arms she stared at the man for a few moments after he spoke, mentally tossing retorts around on her tongue. Sighing finally she seemed to decide on one and she turned away from the man to face Seths statue again. "You speak to much. You presume to know me or the workings of my life." She turned to face him again. "I am no peasant sir as you so wrongly assumed. My mother, as you may have gathered from your spying, was a high priestess in this temple. My father is very wealthy, and....." She stopped speaking suddently and shook her hand in a dismissive manner. "Forgive me, it seems talking to much is contagious."

Looking him up and down she took in his manner of dress and a little quirky smile flitted across her lips. "A prince? Well then, your highness praytell speak of this Apepian royalty? I have visited and dined with all the royals in this and many cities and have never heard of such." She raised a brow in a clear sign of disbelief

((Thanks, I was aware of that. Just a typo.))

"Don't be silly," he spoke with a wave of his hand, "All children of Apep are royalty. It is by birthright. And I was his favorite," he gloated, puffing his chest up with pride. "He is the one who blessed me as a baby, and granted me my good looks, hair, and body. I am a perfect physical being; can't you tell? Or are you lame-eyed with leprosy?"

Loth rested his hand on her shoulder, as if passing a blessing to her himself. "Not everyone is so blessed to be in my presence; furthermore, one is so blessed to be granted a small piece of my wisdom."

Loth stepped past her, and stared up at the cathedral roof, as if staring toward Seth. "Does your god offer you royal blood? Does being a servant of Seth offer such blessings? I think not. Seth is quick to anger and slow to thinking, but Apep, he makes all his servants royalty and gold...come with me, and I will make you she of Apep, Princess...?"
