The light of the cigarette was the lone illumination within the small park. During the day, children of Tokyo invaded and ran amuck here. But at night, it was the right palce for secret meetings. The street lamps were never on, and the lights from the buildings and streets around it failed to make that up. This night, the man had finally, along with his sources and uncle, who was just as much as a source-user, caught the Osaka Yakuza boss, Senichi Shigenoi, wanted for murder, DWI, and being a member of the Asian drug and slave trades in Japan. Of course, these were still to be proven in a court of law, but hey, the trial wasn't until, well, at least December, most a year off. God forbid it should be next eyar. And the government would do their best to keep him and his associates. Finally, the lead he and his uncle needed to find that damnable Yakuza boss, that Shiroi Kumo.
The light of the cigarette was also a way of saying "I'm here" for the detective. The skinny man took a drag, before blowing the smoke into the air, towards the moon. The sky spoke of rain, it did. His informant had best get there soon. He had aquestioning to get back to, dammit! Eyes glanced around, looking for signs of the informant. Anxious, Ryu Aoki began to hum to himself, not knowing the song. It may of well been his own tune, it was a butchering of X Japan's "Forever Love." But hey, he was just a cop, no musical man.

This detective, he had been responsible for capture for the Osaka Yakuza boss, and although Hikaru could care less, he was currently required to attempt to take this man down, by order and payment of a Yakuza member under Senichi Shigenoi. After all, Hikaru Hyourin, the Kage no Mangetsu, almost never failed his clients, and although he wasn't over confident, this skinny and seemingly weak detective didn't seem to tough.
With ease, he located and identified the detective. Nothing really unusual about him, and plus Hikaru really didn't care. Muttering the word, "Shingetsu," in a quiet whisper, he darkened the vicinity in a half kilometer radius with a mysterious fog, one of his unique powers honed by the Hyourin bloodline. Hikaru smiled at his feat.
Eventually, unneeded people seemed to go away and it was time to strike. Again muttering words, this time a different one, he stated, "Engetsu," in a louder whisper. As soon as he spoke, or afterwards, a crescent shaped form flew at the cop, its moonlight color shining as it pierced through the fog, but quickly the fog reformed, redarkening the area. Tatically, he fled from his alleyway position into another alleyway, very close by the cop. He did so quietly, Hikaru didn't need anymore trouble than this job already had.

Wow, such a great fog. Ryu had a nact for seeing something wrong, and this was wrong. The temperature change was too drastic to be normal, not to mention semi-whispers were enough to make a man jumpy. Gun in hand, the cigarette disappeared, the cop ready to strike. Then, it came: Silver, shining, fast. Two shots, which did nothing. The man leapt from the tree he was near, which was cut badly by the spinning attack. "Oh great, magic bullshit." The man faded into darkness, his gun killing the lamp lights while his eyes watched the silver orb. That was its one fault as an attack in the dark, it was the color of the moon. And thus, if he saw it, he had a chance. And if he were invisible, humans couldn't find him for another attack.
"Shigenoi's man, I assume? I was doing my job, but you're apparently doing yours. We're both fucked. Oh well, we'll have fun with this, ie?" He smirked, throwing his hair around as he lit a cigarette and sat it on a bicycle rack, he moving from it. The attack came, and cut the smoke in two; Ryu made a dying noise, hopefully enough to bring out the man. Guns and any reflecting objects away while the flame still burned, Ryu awaited his chance to emerge from the darkness

A flash of blue light and Lady Black appeared in the park, surrounded by fog, an unnatural fog, which Lady Black immediately recognised due to her own intense mystical background. She always loved the fog, it was always there to cover and obfuscate the truth. Casting a simple spell, Lady Black was able to see through the fog with ease. She saw the cop, and she saw the man attacking him, and this caused her to smile, because she recognised the cop, he was working on taking down the Yakuza, which made them allies at the moment, even if he didn't realize it.
Weaving a far more complex spell, Lady Black threw some diamond dust into the air, muttered some powerful arcane words, and some simple gestures, Lady Black mystically conjured a demonic spirits, which were feeding off the magic of the fog, and which proceded to dance around in the fog, filling the the fog with a sense of dread and malevolance that neither the detective nor his attacker would be able to ignore for long. Lady Black herself would be unaffected by the spirits, for she was the one controlling them. In doing this she hoped to help protect the detective without revealing herself yet.

Seeing his attacks didn't do much harm and sensing a malovelent presence within the fog, this pissed him off brutally. The fog only seemed to harm the detective, yet it seemed it didn't do much, fucking humans. Although he was partially human, Hikaru had a distaste for human weaklings. Frowning upon that, and pissed at what happened to his Shingetsu, he realeased the fog from the vicinity, turning it into nothingness, and sent a flashing crescent wave after muttering a single word to himself. The crescent was the same as before and it sliced the very air, although Hikaru reaveled himself and was now in the open, he didn't care about that much.
"Damn," Was all he could say.

Eye twitching, the cop watched from darkness what was going on, with the... flashy lights and shiny swords, and such. Yes. "This is, eh, different. One guy from Yakuza, and two.... Things attacking him. Well, fuck a duck. I don't quite like any of this, and I sure as fuck don't need help.... A shame it's against the law to do what they're doing." he didn't much like the fact he had to do this, but it was his job. Loading his gun, the man looked to the two... flashy things. Now, the flashy one with the freaky spirit things, or the other one with the knives. Things he'd never seen before, or stabby-stab knives. Decisions, decisions!
The only way he knew the woman with the knives was the fact the moon had come back out, and obviously, knives reflect light. But it was quickly fading, this was the one chance he had... The other, well, shiny lights coming from out of no where was good and all, more power to you, but that would be not-so-hard a target. Decision made, the man left the alleyway, gun aimmed at the woman on the building, the man smirking. Two shots, before he ran, past the woman with the spirit things, and behind a tree. Rather random of him, but hey, he was a random cop. Ryu smirked. He was going to enjoy himself here, this was, well, fucked up, to be blunt

Lady Black saw the cop dart by her and then saw the daggers flying at her and she attempted to dodge the daggers. She successfully dodged two, but the third cut her arm. Grabbing her arm in mild pain, she saw the blood on her hand, and she smiled. Flinging some of the blood to the ground and envocing dark words of eldritch power she conjured a small ball of green flame that would seek out its target.
The green flame was balefire, a product of dark magic and capible of burning both body and soul of the victim. Intoning the words of power, Lady Black told the ball of balefire to seek out and burn the one who drew her blood. As the ball of balefire flew off toward the knife weilding assassin, Lady Black darted toward tree, in order to get some cover.

Slightly smiling at the easily light reflected daggers, Hikaru Hyourin dodged them with ease. After all, an assasin needed skills and they always needed to be at their best. Although, the moonlight was pretty lucky, but it always seemed to come out to aid Hikaru for some obscure and vague reason. Even he didn't know why, but it was probably his bloodline's heritage and alliance with the celestial bodies. Anyways, Hikaru shook that off for the moment. But actually, a blade seemed to graze his shoulder, leaving only a white scratch where it had scraped his skin. Albeit, it didn't hurt at all.
With more people entering the scene, this assasination attempt had become harder. Hikaru felt like quitting, whereas he wasn't a fool that would risk everything in one mission. But he'll save that for later decisions and such more diffucult ordeals. This world, this city, Tokyo, was suck an enigmatic place.
"What now...?" He whispered quietly.
