So the other night, I had a dream where I was playing stock class for the very first time with my Phantom that I haven't even played with yet. I was running, gunning, loading, changing 12 grams like a pro, and getting the drop on player after player in a huge game on a scenario field. When I woke up, all I could think about was finding a harness, stock, and loading up on 12 grams and tubes. I sure hope playing stock class in real life is just as exhilarating. :)

Go with a JoyRide and a dump pouch. it's a lot smaller than the Ronnin counter part. SC is a lot of fun and running down the field is SC at it's best. It's funny how nervous people get when they know I'm about to snap shot them even though they have a semi on a 1 on 1 situation. Funny thing is I'm not that great of a shot, but they don't know it LOL. I practice pulling the trigger, breathing, and snap shooting when watching TV. My wife thinks I'm nuts, but it definitely improves your game. At first I was happy to get 0-1 kills just cause it was fun just to hold down a side. Now getting 2-3 on a 10 on 10 makes you fell like the man. A lot of people respect SC players, they come up to me and say "man I'm glad you didn't have a semi" ....

mx your first few games will be frustrating. getting shot out a lot, trouble loading and changing 12g's but once you get the muscle memory down and over that first hurdle the fun starts.

there is much less paint in the air than even the open class games, you can make crazy runs and moves. try to avoid long gun battles if you have to take 4 shots at someone move and get a better angle.

i will also say practice at home is a good idea, seems goofy but it helps.just get a couple dead 12 grams and focus on changing them out over and over.

i notice some people force the rocking motion to load. if your shooting a nelson like the phantom all you need to do is lighten your grip on the trigger frame and let the pump do the work when you pull the pump back the barrel will dive enough to roll a ball forward, smoothly push the pump back forward and the barrel will rise back up

Wow, thanks for the tips!

At WCPPL, after the games were done, I went out to one of the fields with a couple tubes of paint to test out the Phantom. I was wondering how far forward I needed to tip the marker to load. I'll try out that technique, GG.

I also found that as my tube came closer to empty, the last few paintballs would be way at the back. I felt like I had to tilt it forward a bit longer for the paintballs to roll forward to the breach.

Interesting Dream Ray.

Definatly heed the advice above and practice swapping out 12y's. I do that on new guns. You don't necessarily need to be fast when everyone is using SC but in any mixed gun games speed is your friend. The hardest part with a bucket changer is making sure your 12y is in it the right way LOL.
You can fling your empty to the ground as the last thread loosens and toss in the new one and slap the bucket back on. On the couch is good but you may want to practice this in a crouch behind a couch or the bed or something that is more of an on field experience in your home behind a bunker. I also recommend having that freshy 12y in hand before you remove the spent one. Saves some time, speed can be 5-15 seconds for the change.
Also know where your placing your empty paint tubes so you don't loose any (i hate losing tubes....)

Thanks Manny! Isn't the drop pouch used for the empty 12 round tubes?

As for my dream, I've also had nightmares of trying to run, falling, getting up with my legs feeling heavy and not running fast enough to run to something or get away from something terrible. That nightmare came true at WCPPL when I was going for the hang with two guys after me.

If you have a drop pouch then yes it's for your 10-round tubes. I don't have one and put them in my pocket on many occasions when I do play SC

I use this one. It's nice since it has an adjustable inside orifice (can you say that here), hold 24 empty capless tubes, several extra pockets for additional 12gs etc, it's heavy duty tactical nylon, 2 snap fittings loops that will fit on a 6"-7" belt, and for 11.00 shipped you can't beat it.

She's cooking up a new stock-class pack with Topstich, so we're not allowed to buy them as per her instructions. =)

Nail bags make good dump pouches if you know someone handy with a sewing machine. You can take the cover off one of your old CD binders (seriously, who still uses CD's? ;p ) and use the material to extend the depth of the pouch. I got my pouch at HD Supply for $2 (comes with a nice big belt clip that fits over my Joyride's belt) and 10 minutes of Mom's time with the sewing machine, lol.

Go Mom!

you guys are out of hand

i have 3 different pack/harness designs but thats it so far. only one of them is built to use a specific dump pouch (pbmafia) so fire away if you need a dump pouch.

because my chief weapon is fear (and it seems to be working) anyone caught buying a stock class pack will have to deal with this!!
