Well I made the mistake of browsing through the BST on MCB the other day and was "forced" into an impulse buy... you all know how it is. I ended up with a mini'd, midgeted, side tapped, vert feed body. It came with all of the internals (Shocktech valve he thought) including the milled hammer for next to nothing. The only problem is that now I have to finish it off
I had a new Shocktech frame laying around waiting for a new project so I guess this is as good as any a time to use it. I'm going to trim the back end of the snatch grip flush with the back of the body but that will be it for modifications. I think it will end up being stupid light anyway and it is already ridiculously small. Tonight I ordered a lever-lock Ego feedneck, CCM pump kit, and Palmers Female Stab with a ring mount for under the frame so hopefully I should be able to break her in at this months pump day :) I just need to get a roller sear and the rest of the frame internals, bolt/sled, and pump arm. I've always wanted a marker with what the cool kids call "Shark Attack" ano (baby blue with bright red splash/splatter). I'll break it down after pump day and get everything anodized together. Here is a pic with the weight including the internals, a 12" DW and aluminum insert. (Posted Image) This post has been edited by CrunchyMilk on Mar 12 2012, 01:28 AM |

Got my sled/bolt and pump arm ordered today. Now I just need to get the frame internals and I'll be ready to try her out :)

Hmmm... it's been awhile.
I finally finished assembly just before playing at SC last weekend. I ended up throwing a Benchmark frame on it for now because I still have some milling to do on the Shocktech frame. The good news is that it works and only weighs 3.5 pounds with a barrel, hopper, and tank! The bad news is that being a brand new marker with a brand new reg the velocity is pretty inconsistent. With the reduced volume in the body I need to play with the springs and put a few hundred balls through it to help break in the reg. After I'm sure it works as I want it I'll send it off to get anodized :) (Posted Image) (Posted Image) (Posted Image) This post has been edited by CrunchyMilk on Sep 27 2012, 12:53 PM |
