Cost to play
If your on "the list": $15 (must get on "the list" by Wednesday Jan 14th)
Day of Play: $20 (regular walk-on price)
Air: 12g’s 50cents each / FREE AIR TO ALL PUMP PLAYERS
B.Y.O.P. is allowed and field paint is fairly priced. $40 for a case of WPN weapons grade (they have other options as well)

Mention wanting to get on the Pump Day List and give your name (first and last) and phone number (in case of emergency) feel free to say Demonio sent you

For Discounted entry you need to call, e-mail, or PM your info by Wednesday Jan 14th

Field opens around 8am (I think that's when they open the gates)

I think play actually starts around 9:30-10ish. We usually get there around 9 give or take a few minutes.

Most of the pump players try to park somewhere around where the Food Cart is located by the front office near the chrono range. Makes it easier to gather everyone up and head out to the next field. Depending on all participants, We usually play till they are breaking down the airball fields which is around 3:30-4:00ish.

This is just a once a month thing to get people excited about pump play, you will play with other pumpers in our own private group. There are no particular rules other than playing with some kind of pump marker.

For Discounted entry you need to call, e-mail, or PM your info by Wednesday Jan 14th

SEMI-AUTO PISTOL RULES (any semi marker following these rules)
- May NOT be fed with more than 10 rounds
- spring feed ok
- 12grams only
- Some magazine fed pistols may not be allowed at the field - management will make that call (tag8 may not be allowed and other more realistic looking pistols)

Hey the title is Sept 28th!!!! This is for January right? I've never played this field, how is it? I get down to San Diego every now and then... I've played Mr. Paintball, how is Velocity compared to that?

Sorry - I was rushing when I posted - FIXED ;)

Velocity compared to Mr.Paintball - Good question.
For starters we Ref ourselves so we don't have to worry about bad reffing. You don't have to walk a mile to get to any of the fields. Variety wise - I think Mr.P has some good little fields and so does Velocity. It depends on what your into. I do like the little towns/villages that Mr.P has to offer but I also like Hyperball and airball which you can find at Velocity. There are also some interesting woodsy fields at Velocity. Those trenches at Mr.p are crazy - fun - but crazy cause you never know what may be at the next turn.
If your an avid Mr.P goer, you'd have to gauge it for yourself. Velocity is a good place with good people and I think the Management is cool (in my book)
Mr.P's management.... I know it's a business but you don't have to be a jerk is all I can really say.

QUOTE (Demonio @ Jan 8 2009, 12:34 AM)

Mr.P's management.... I know it's a business but you don't have to be a jerk is all I can really say.

I hear that! Another question, when you take your pump groups out, do you usually play with other walk ons, or in a private group? My cousin takes his son and he plays with a BT...(small kid big gun lol) But we walk on with pump. I also would love to play some hyperball, it's been a while for that(I love the sound). I'll try to make it out there, but I like makin money!

Edit! Maybe I should read the full post and answer my questions before I ask, I see now its only a pump private group... duh

I think Velocity has a better lay out than Mr. Paintball. Going up and down hills all day isn't my idea of fun paintball. Also the general atmosphere at Velocity is a lot more chill, mostly due to the friendly management.

It looks like alot of you guys are local San Diego'ans...(help me ron burgundy!) Is this your 'home' field? Even if I dont get there on the pump day I'll definatly post when I can, or am going.

There is a strong possibility that i will be going. Only thing stopping me would be a hangover or two tired to drive. But usually i make sacrifices with paintball. And my friend has been itching to go paintballing, so I will bring him along, maybe he can help me with the drive.

Yeah, velocity is my favorite field in S.D.

Every so often i feel like going somewhere different and usually end up regretting it :P
