hypothetically speaking, if you were to put together a cocker, whats parts would you use?
body
trigger frame
hammer
bolt
feedneck
any other special internals

Depends.
Who makes your skills?
It's dye, right?
Yeah, i'll use all dye parts. :P

it's more for input from all of you knowledgeable people in the internet. i may or may not be putting something together and i am looking for help. i dont know the first thing about what i need but i figured it would be fun to do over break.
...if i were to be doing it.

nice one Victor, that was very clever
hypothetically, i would use this;
Body - mid block karnivor if I could find it, Dye reflex if I could get my hands on one, WGP Orracle as my last option
Trigger frame - Dye hinge or CCM hinge 86*
Hammer - WGP with WGP springs
Valve - palmer's brass or if you can't find one, WGP
Bolt;
-Karni I would go with an ACP bolt, they can be ordered with None - 3 o-rings, I'd go with none or one on the back if you want warm fuzzys. I can tell you where to get one if interested
-Reflex, you only have the stock one, but good news is it's great
-Orracle I would go with a Shocktech Superfly or an ACP bolt
Feedneck - CCM and you don't have much option here, getting harder to find clamping ones made by anyone else
As a foot note, if you use all CCM internals, I love them too. They aren't my preferred because about half the bodies I've tried to install them on, then hammer wouldn't fit past the IVG threads without more force than i was comfortable with

How much you going to spend???
Slider frame and guts. I like Benchmark.
Body??? Ripper, freeflow vs stock. They all perform the same. Just cosmetics.
Hammer/springs/ivg. Stock
Regulator. Stock works well. CP for a few bucks.
Pump kits vary from 30 to 200 plus with autotrigger. Money no object, then CCM 86 frame with autotrigger.
Bolt-don't matter.
Need any of the above small parts LMK, I have a whole gear box full

the body is a shocktech SFL mini and i have a dye single hinge coming too. (thx ryan) seeing as i haven't bought a gun in a while i can dip into the gun fund pretty well. it has been almost five years since i actually bought a new gun!
my plans so far are...
CCM pump kit
shockteck phat hammer if i can find it, or a FF tungsten hammer
superfly bolt if i can find one
it has a splash ano and i have never liked that look so it's getting an acid bath for sure. once i get all the pieces together it'll get a shiny new coat.

shocktech superfly I've ordered from these guys once before and got my stuff

Don't forget your springs, cup seal, cocking rod, probably a detent. If you get it all together. I can save probably save you some cash on the mini-pump kit with our team sponsorship. You can check out what the kit is like on pump day if you want (or sooner) let me know how soon you wann get started on your project. We can get a deal on the Check-it mini pump kits and they are pretty smooth (you are on the team you know LOL).

find a body, add CCM lower internals, your preferance of frame (Iprefer the Dye singlle trigger hinge), and a pump kit. It really depends on what your budget is.

or spend 2 minutes with a dremil and shave it down. I did that for my old Lightning
Demonio - December 17, 2009 07:13 PM (GMT)
For your a/t cam for the dye Hinge -
talk to PUMP
stimpy - December 18, 2009 02:13 AM (GMT)
body - i like the CCM SS25 because you can remove the valve w/o a valve tool... just take off the front block
trigger frame - either CCM 86* or an Eclipse hinge
hammer - the metal kind
bolt - i like a freeflow 10-hole venturi
feedneck - stock WGP big 'ole feedneck... allows for a nice stack of balls between the hopper and the breach
any other special internals -
