The Solian ball, come one, come all!

The Solian city of Atavia was alive and bustling for the event. The courtyard was cleared and the marble polished for dancing, and the burnished marble columns were graced with crawling vines in full flower, and draped with crystals that caught the light of the moon and stars outside and cast throughout the courtyard in pretty garnets, sapphires, emeralds, and magentas.
The courtyard was perched on the edge of a mountain, overlooking the endless seas over the edge of Gaia Falls. Between the columns the courtyard was open to the abyss, a delicate balance of sparkling stars and the shimmering waves of the Soahc ocean. A soft wind carressed the dancers in the courtyard, breathed with the whisper of alchemy as people sat at glass tables, a parasol perched delicately over their heads as they all chatted animatedly and sipped their drinks.
Long tables outlined the dance floor, serving all manner of dishes from Wonder Bird breast to the most tangent of flowers as a delicacy... an array of musicians weaved a slow dance song as couples congregated on the dance floor.
The dome-like ceiling was made of purest crystal, cut to form a starburst design that refracted the light from above, casting a rainbow haze hovering over the heads of the dancers as the ball went on.

Saturos stood on the sidelines, smiling faintly as Sol's ball played out. His flaxen blond hair was freshly cut and layered, riffling out at the end like the feathers on a wing. He wore the loose white gown of Sol's leader, an almost priestly affair, and over it wore a learther chestplate bleached white and traced with the angel-in-flight insignia of the Sol clan. A smoky azure belt was strapped around his waist, decorated with lines of goldleaf, and his feet were clad in simple white wrappings. He stood straightbacked as he leaned against the column, breathing in the fragrant scent of the vine behind him, waiting for the others to arrive.

Nah, that was just an intro I whipped up to give a vague setting.
