mission 26.06.05

Sam stepped through the gate and looked around, checking for any unfriendlies, which there were none. She looked to see Daniel and Hawk already out the gate and they were doing the same thing. There were lots of trees to either side of them, and a very long and very wide pathway, from the gate heading north with a large castle like builing in the far distance.

"Okay, lets start off heading over there, Daniel you upfront, Hawkin you watch our six"

She headed forward and waited for Daniel to go uprfront before carrying on

"Okay"

Daniel did as Sam (Carter) said and went in front of her moving in the direction that she had indicated

Hawk waited for them to go slightly infront before setting off himself, they all carried on walking, getting closer to the temple building, when he looked to his left and saw black smoke rising high into the sky.

"Colonel, there's smoke over there, looks pretty thick"

Sam turned to where Hawkins was looking and she aw the smoke rising upwards.

"Looks like something major thats burning"

She took out her binoculars and looked though the trees to see that it was a small village up in smoke.

"Come on lets check it out"

She ran forward into the trees, checking the area as she went

Daniel Followed after Sam (Carter) Making sure to look around himself

Hawk followed suit and they soon came to the village with out meeting anyone. The black smoke was rising high upwards. He walked arounf the village, going inbetween huts, to see nearly everything destroyed. Everything was black and charred, it seemed like it had been like this for days. He looked down to see some objects on the ground, they looked liked books, which were pretty badly damaged, although a few of the pages where intact, he knelt down to have a closer look.

"Daniel, have a look at these"

He said looking up at him then looking at the book on the ground

Daniel walked over to Sam (Hawkins) and knelt down to take a closer look at the books. Daniel looks at the books

"Hmmm it's properly best...if I wait to read these later when we get back to the SGC....with Damage like this ....the Pages can sometimes collapse”

Daniel takes out a bag and puts the Books neatly in a Plastic covering and then in puts them in the bag and closes it.

"Yeah, come on, lets get going, it looks like this place has been deserted for a while, we'll come back if we have to, but we should get to the temple"

Sam said and she started walking onwards in the driection of the temple, stopping to wait for the others to catch up.

Daniel got up picking up the bag gently as he did and followed Sam (Carter)

Hawk followed on after Daniel and Carter. There was something eery about the village but he didn't know what.

"Is there something wrong Sam (Hawkins)"

Sam looked at Daniel who suddenly spoke

"Oh nothing, it just doesn't feel right, it feels creepy, thats all, its nothing really"

He continued on forward

Daniel walks forward

"Okay....are you sure"

"Hmm..."

Daniel walks a little more forward

"Okay............."

"Yeah, yeah i'm fine okay"

Sam tried to drop th subject, although he wasn't entirly sure that it was fine anymore

He continued forward after Carter who was a few steps ahead
