Yeah I thought I would put this up for you guys to hear:
Yeahhh
It's me singing... I suppose it's a way I express myself.
Hope you like it,
It's pretty rubbish, I was singing unaccompanied at the time so if I go off key I'm sorry!
I recorded it on my mobile so that's why it's bad quality...
I hope I sound OK =D
Tell me what you think!

I know some of you guys also sing so feel to stick your recordings up here too!

If you have a camera that takes video with sound you can film yourself singing and post it on youtube, and then put the link here. Gets us past that pesky dowloading thing.

Cool! Please inform us! I'd love to hear you singing smile.gif. Plus, if you post something of you singing, maybe I'll get my nerve up to record myself as well.

You sound good. smile.gif Is it okay if I give a bit of a critique? I've been singing for quite a while, and have seen many vocal coaches. I'm not saying I know everything, or am smarter about it than you guys, and trust me, I'm not, haha. I just wanna give some tips. smile.gif

For all music but church music and choir music, it's probably better to use your chest voice (basically, singing with your regular voice...if that makes any sense), not your head voice. Unless the note is too high for that, of course. If you must use it, support it with your diaphragm, and it makes the voice sound less airy.

And try to not have so much vibrating in your voice (vibrato)...we aren't singing opera, are we? blink.gif tongue.gif

I really don't want you guys to hate me for this...I've done all the above things myself, and when my choir teacher'd tell me about it, I'd take it WAY too seriously, that's just how I am... I'm REALLY not trying to be mean with this, please believe me...and for all I know, you guys know more about singing than I do, and I've been taught the wrong things.

I'm so sorry if anyone's hurt by this... sad.gif But I'll get something up in a few days, okay? And I know you guys are probably just doing this for fun, and don't want any tips, and if you want me to stop, just tell me, and I'll stop immediately, okay? ninja.gif I've gotten in trouble before for just being who I am, and I don't want it to happen again. Pleace tell me if I'm being arrogant...

Oh, and I ADORE your accent, I love accents. I find it interesting how accents rarely show up when singing, though.

It's alright... I get all the time off my singing teacher... I've been classically trained (I started having lessons when I was 10) so that's where my Vibrato comes from... also I was nervous and my voice shakes like hell and I was sitting down at the time which have contributed to it in someway...with the head voice thing it may sound like that because my voice is verrrrry low and I always feel like I am not going to hit any of the right notes if I sing from my diaphragm... so I tend to go up into my throat... bad form I know!...

That wasn't my best at all...I'll put something better up soon!!!

Oh wow, yeah, you sounded really good! Just not necessarily for that kind of music, you know? smile.gif For what I want to sing...it's best to not sound airy and not have much vibrato. I have a pretty big range, so I can go low and pretty high without too much problems. I've just always sung, so...well, not unnecessarily professionally, or in a choir, you know? And before I joined choir in high school last year, I'd get so nervous and shaky when singing, so I know how you feel. But a 3 year older guy friend of mine helped me get the courage to take big risks with my singing (in choir) , and now I'm not nervous about singing in front of people at all.

I promise I'll get something up soon.

Okay, I think I'll FINALLY record myself singing once there comes a day that my mom's at work, and my cold's gone. I finally found a song that'll work great with my vocal range, lol. A bunch of you have probably heard it, lol.
