hi, does anyone know who the thirteen gods are and what are they gods of?
I can name but a few...
Sendovani ?
Iono goddess of the sea?
Perelandro lord of the Overlooked
Gandolo god of commerce?
Aza Guilla lady of the long silence, death
Dama Elliza goddess of rains and reaping(agriculture, harvest)
The Crooked Warden- we all know what he does
Does anyone know any more of the gods?
Are they exclusively Therin gods?

Going just from The Lies of Locke Lamora I've been able to find,

Aza Guilla - Lady of the Long Silence, Goddess of Death
Azri - Unknown
Candolo - Father of Opportunities, Lord of Coin and Commerce
Dama Elliza - Mother of Rains and Reaping
Iono - Father of Grasping Waters
Morgante - City Father, Lord of Noose and Trowel
Nara - Plague Mistress, Lady of Ubiquitous Maladies
Perelandro - Father of Mercies, Lord of the Overlooked
Sendovani - Unknown
Nameless Thirteenth - The Thiefwatcher, the Crooked Warden, the Benefactor, Father of Necessary Pretexts

So not counting the Nameless Thirteenth that means we've got names and general areas of responsibility, excluding Azri and Sendovani, for nine of the Twelve. Which means Mr. Lynch owes us another three yet. smile.gif

The Kingdom of the Seven Marrows seems to have a religion based upon water/the seven rivers (the Marrows) that divide the country up into the traditional cantons - Emberlain being one of them. A number of mentions of 'The Marrows' and 'the Hands Beneath the Waters' along with them. Also mention of the 'Temple of Fortunate Waters' although whether that's just the name of that particular temple or what they're all called is unknown.

You've also got the Jeremite Redeemers, yes those nutters, in Red Seas as well. From the Jeremite Islands but aside from their doing a nice line in drugs, opium from dried Jeremite poppies and strange narcotic powders, and tobacco we don't really know much if anything about the place IIRC. Says 'Jeremite gods' so we know at least that there's a pantheon of them, but then it also talks about Jerem which is a little confusing.

Found a few a new god and a possible new god in Red Seas Under Red Skies plus a few more titles for the ones we already had.

Aza Guilla - Lady of the Long Silence, Goddess of Death, Lady Most Kind
Azri - Unknown
Callo Androno - Eyes-on-the-Crossroads
Gandolo - Father of Opportunities, Lord of Coin and Commerce
Dama Elliza - Mother of Rains and Reaping
Iono - Father of Grasping Waters, Iono Stormbringer, Father of Storms, Father Stormbringer, Stormfather (think I'm detecting a pattern here smile.gif)
Morgante - City Father, Lord of Noose and Trowel
Nara - Plague Mistress, Lady of Ubiquitous Maladies, Plaguebringer
Perelandro - Father of Mercies, Lord of the Overlooked
Sendovani - Unknown
Venaportha - Unknown
Nameless Thirteenth - The Thiefwatcher, the Crooked Warden, the Benefactor, Father of Necessary Pretexts

Callo Androno - Eyes-on-the-Crossroads (the god of travel, languages and lore)

Lord of Gallants and Fools - Now in the part of the novel right after the wasp fight when Locke is blessing the dead man he's praying to the Crooked Warden, and then in the next sentence he says "Lord of gallants and fools, ease this man's passage to the Lady of the Long Silence." So is Lord of Gallants and Fools another of the Nameless Thirteenth titles or has he finished praying to him and is now addressing another god to ease his passage to the third god Aza Guilla?

Venaportha - Now when a lot of characters swear they'll say "Sweet (Insert gods name here)!" as an exclamation. Later on in Red Seas Under Red Skies when Stragos is telling them about his plan to force them to go to sea posing as pirates Locke exclaims "Sweet Venaportha". So looks like we have another god.

So all in all that gives us eleven confirmed gods and most likely a twelfth one as well - Venaportha. Combine that with the Nameless Thirteenth and we've got all twelve of the gods. smile.gif
