Terra listened to Tudyr speak. Although Professor Hawthorne did not seem like a Slytherin, she came from a long line of Slytherins, and she was a direct descendant of the Black family, and Pureblood. That had to be enough.

"Well," Terra spoke up, feeling a strange, and unusual feeling of wanting to stick up for her relative. "She's pureblood, a direct descendant of the house of Black, is some-what well known, and an avid Quidditch fan. I know Hawthorne. She's, odd, but a good witch." And those were the most words anyone had ever heard the Malfoy girl speak.

Bellatrix grabbed the stotic woman's hand, and shook it heartily,

"I've heard about you! I'm looking forward to getting to know you." The woman said, then taking some food, savoring its taste. "Oh... this food is, amazing..." She said, a warm look on her face. "All I've eaten today were a few potato crips....."

"So, did you notice we had a new teacher? Old Becker retired." Falk said, after taking a swig of cold pumpkin juice. "She's up there, sitting next to Poz and Heusnore. I wonder what she's like, though I'll miss that crazy old coot, Becker. With him teaching, class was easier than pie."

"Hm, Well, Heulog is a direct descendant of the Black House as well as Malfoy, Potter, Lestrange, Flint, and of course, Heulog, a nothern pureblood family," Tudyr listed. "My family makes it their business to know purebloods' heritage, for anyone wondering. The only thing that doesn't really fit is the fact that she was in Ravenclaw."

After the woman released Heulog's hand, she gently shook it and placed it back on her lap, her face staying the same.
"Likewise, Professor," she said calmly. "I hope you understand that some of these students have a blatant disrespect for the rules and that you need to punish them properly and not play favorites. I hear that you are closer related to Terra Malfoy than I. Do not go easy on her if she does wrong merely because of blood."

"We should give her a nice, warm welcoming first day of class," Lunet said, a smirk on her face as a plan formed.
"Well, I'm going back to my table before your schemes involve me," Cledwyn said, leaving the two.

Terra nodded at the boy.

"But of course." She said, in an emotionless tone. The girl went back to picking at her food, not really eating it. The fact that Heulog was related to her made her shiver; but then, all pureblood wizards were somehow related, though distantly.

Bellatrix shook her head.

"Nonesense! I don't go easy on anyone. Family or not." The woman said. "I intend on treating them all the same. Besides, I'm sure the students can't be all that bad!"

Falk laughed at the expression on Lunet's face.

"Just what are you plotting now?"

Poz laughed.
"Oh, don't mind Professor Heulog. The students aren't too bad, she's exaggerating." He grinned dorkishly. "And besides, its only natural for them to want to be kids considering that they are."
Realizing he had finished eating, he waited for dessert to come on. It would be almost time for him to direct his new Ravenclaw students to the correct place and maybe say a few hellos to the many other students that he knew.

Jhoq was half-listening to the conversation taking place currently. It was common for these types of conversations to come up wherever he went if he were around his fellow Slytherins. Not that it bothered him, but he wished they'd have more interesting things to say. His expression was the usual relaxed position of neutrality at the moment.
"Dessert." He said in a dull surprised tone of voice, as dessert certainly did appear. This was his personal favorite part of most meals. However, no one really knew that.

"A prank here and there," Lunet said, deep in thought. "Hm, hm, hm...What fun we shall have..." She wasn't paying a bit of attention as dessert came. She was scheming and that meant she wouldn't pay attention to much.

"Really, Professor, you're looking at it all too brightly," Heulog said. "There's plenty of pranksters that you have to keep an eye out for. Lunet Thistlethorn is a good example."

"So, anything interesting happen while you all were on break?" Tudyr asked. "The Ballycastle Bats asked me to come onto the team when I got out of school."

"Try to put a bit more enthusiasm into that next time." Alice stated, pointing her fork at Jhoq before taking a bite of her own dessert. "It's dessert, it deserves it." She glanced over at Tudyr, raising her eyebrows at his statement. "Oh really?" Alice added something about that being suprising after Cledwyn's affect on their last season under her breath.

"Yes, they said I did well considering the competition," Tudyr informed her. "I bet that the Cannons asked Haul. Anyway, I told them that I would think about it. I would really like to be on the Falmouth Falcons. That's a real team."
"A real team for cheaters," Cledwyn said, having been walking by.
"Oh, you just can't handle a real match, you baby," Tudyr sneered.

Poz's smile weakened a bit. Though it was true that Lunet was quite the trouble-maker, she wasn't that bad of a kid, in his opinion at least. He sighed.
"Ah well! No matter, I'm still looking quite forward to the new year." He grinned and grabbed himself a bit of dessert.

Jhoq looked at Alice for a second, his expression remaining idle. He sighed. And snagged himself a bit of pudding in a lazy manner before nimbly taking up a spoon. He was a bit bored. All this chatter. When would they be able to go back to their rooms? He was thinking of perhaps writing a page or two in his book or listening to music or lazing about on his bed before sleep. Nothing seemed to interest him today.

Terra felt silly, sitting there listening to everyone's chatter. She wished she was still on summer holiday, spending time alone with herself; and with no one to bother her. Her parents tried to get her to do things, but they were too frightened of her to try much. The girl picked at her dessert absent-mindedly, not eating any more of it. She ignored Tudyr; which one got good at after having to spend more than five minutes with him; at least Terra did.

Falk grinned,

"Pranks are always my style.... just so long as they don't get me kicked out of school, I'll do it." He'd rather be here that at home. Home was nice, but Hogwarts was even better; sometimes, at least.

Professor Hawthorne merely let the two talk; feeling somewhat awkward with this Heulog woman. What a stickler. Bella made a mental note to calm down a bit. The more you got people to like you, or at least put up with you, the easier it became to put up with them.

"Excuse me for having something called honor, you pathetic excuse for a human," Cledwyn said to Tudyr. Tudyr rose and glared at the taller boy.
"Oh, I'm just not a wuss, you biggot," he said.

Heulog looked up and noted that Cledwyn and Tudyr were speaking to each other rather harshly. She let out a sigh and watched carefully, making sure they didn't hex each other or anything.

Lunet absent mindedly picked at her food, scheming. She then noticed Cledwyn and Tudyr and frowned.
"They're at it again," she stated.

"Will the two of you shut up?" Alice snapped, dropping her spoon. They'd been at each others throats all day and it was beginning to give her a headache."Save it for the quidditch field. Then we'll prove which one of you is pathetic easily enough." The last remark was accompanied by a cold glare at Cledwyn. Alice had to admit the shot had been fair and Tudyr's trick had been cheap, but that didn't change the fact that Slytherin's not making it to the finals last year had been Cledwyn's fault.

Cledwyn returned her glare before glaring at Tudyr again. The two of them felt a glare from the teacher's table and saw Heulog giving them a warning look. The two gave each other one last glare before seperating. Tudyr sat down, muttering things about how he'd he enjoy to curse him a million times over.
