Quirrel/voldemort/snape| MELIMUSH |

This question has been bothering me for quite some time now...
If Voldemort was in Quirrels head during all of Harrys first year, then shouldnt Voldemort know about Snape being on the "good side"? Because Snape spent the year threatening Quirrel, didnt he? Also, trying to protect Harry (Quidditch match), and trying to protect the PS from Quirrel/not Voldemort! |

I've wondered about that too. My best guess is that Voldemort is in some sort of hypernation when Quirrell are in control and are thus not able to fully experience how Snape acts.
Anyway Snape has to act loyal to Dumbledore while at Hogwarts - that's why he's a good spy - and obviously Voldemort hasn't made an appearance to Snape why Snape has to be suspicious to Quirrell... he might try to use the Stone for himself |

Or maybe Snape is just acting "good" and Voldemort knows it! You know, so Dumbledore thinks Snape is really in his side! hmmm...

Its all too confusing!!!!! But yes Snape should act loyal to Dumbledore while he is at hogwarts. Voldemort probably thinks Snape is spying on Dumbledore for him and Dumbledore thinks that Snape is spying on Voldemort for him. So I guess Voldemort wouldnt think anything of Snape's behaviour. Snape probably didnt know that it was Voldemort posessing Quirrell (did he? Havent read the book for sooooo long :( )

I dont think he knew he was posessed, but maybe he knew Quirrel was working for Voldemort!

Yeah, thats exactly what Snape suspected... but my question was, if Voldie was on Quirrels head all year long... how come he doesnt know that Snape is spying for Dumbledore, when he is supossed to be a Deah Eater (In Voldemorst mind)?

but that was towards the end, didnt Voldie say something along the lines of let me try I think I'm strong enough, or something?

I've just read GoF and started re-reading OotP. Either in the end of GoF or the beginning of OotP (it's the danish version so I won't mention the pageno.) Voldemort talks to wormtail about how weak he was in the period before Wormtail came looking for him - including the time where he used the teacher from Hogwarts (Quirrel). In that passage he states that he only used him as shelter at the end of the period and thus not thoughout the whole schoolyear... at least that is how I interpret it

exactly. he spent the last days inside his head. i thought that, too. before that, well, i don't know where voldemort was... and snape's a legilimens, too, so if voldemort was inside quirrel, he would know.

wow! how did i miss this topic? i've been wanting to start a topic on the same lines from quite a few days. anyhow, i always thought the same meli...now lwt me wait for the end of the series and if we still don't get answers, then we can contemplate what was possibly going on.
and regarding the bike, Jo definitely said something about the bike making a reappearence. |
