Elendawen walked into the Tavern of the Bazaar. This was the newly opened part. She had just finished stalking all the shelves of the other open store areas. She cleaned the plates and cups off once more, waiting for her first customer to arrive in one of the shops.

Tari stepped into the Tavern, the fire from earlier still in her eyes. She sat down at on of the stools behind the counter and sighed. "I'll take a drink, for here." Tari needed sometime to think, and a good drink would give her time to do so. She stared into space as she awaited her order to arrive.

Elendawen looked up at the weary traveler, happy that she had a new customer. She had never seen her before, but she of course knew that she was an Elf. "Rivendell," she decided to guess. She hadn't seen Elves of Lothlorien lately. Elendawen turned and made the drink quickly. She turned back to the Elf. "Welcome to the Bazaar. I'm Elendawen Arthedain, daughter of Thengel, owner of the Bazaar, along with this tavern," she said warmly. "Enjoy your drink. Can I get you anything else?"

Tari wondered absentmindedly why the woman was telling her all this stuff. "Nah, I'm fine with the drink." Tari closed her hand around the handle of the mug and drank some of it. She set it back down. Noticing that "Elendawen" was watching her, Tari sighed and thought, 'I guess I'm supposed to talk to her, maybe introduce myself.' Sighing again, Tari said, "I'm Tari Seregon, of Rivendell. Nice to meet you."

Elendawen smiled in response. Tari didn't seem to eager to talk, but she couldn't help herself with her general curiousity. "Are you just traveling through? Are do you think you might want a room here tonight?" She hesitated a moment before adding, "And if you need any thing else, any other provisions, I have some other stalls, with weapons, clothes, and things like that." She smiled a little apologetically, in case she was bothering Tari. She decided that this would be the last of her questioning.

(OoC: Is Elendawen strictly the owner of these shops? Or can she ever like do other stuff?)
Tari felt a little overwhelmed with all the questions. As she thought about how to answer, she found herself not really minding. After all she was sort of lonely. She took a deep breath and said, "I am mostly a traveller. I am currently staying in the Halls of Seremela, in Guest Room. She has been very gracious to let me do so." Tari stopped and drank from her glass. "I might check out your weapon booth later, fighting is one of my great interests." she said.

((ooc: she is pretty much just the owner, but if necessary, she may leave for a short while, since there aren't too many people on here, and no one really comes to the bazaar--you were the first!))
"Really?" Elendawen said, interested. "Me too. Being an elf, do you like bow and arrow better? Or do you like using any swords?" Now that her interest was peaked by her on-the-side hobby, she was more comfortable, especially since Tari seemed a little more relaxed.
((ooc again: don't you have some weapons? u need to put that in your inven. on the side profile))

((OoC: Done.))
Tari was glad they had begun a topic she enjoyed discussing. "Well, actually I like both. I am skilled at both the sword and the bow. Unlike most elves though, I really do perfer the blade."

Elendawen was only a little surprised. She had, in fact, met before a dwarf or two who actually preferred a bow and arrow to their own axes. "Well, maybe one day, we can see how our skills match up." She cleaned off a spot of water on the counter, since she now, for once, had lack of something to say.

Tari wasn't really too sure how she was supposed to respond to that. 'Is she implying that one day we will battle against each other? Or just a friendly test of skills?' she thought. So instead of speaking she nodded slightly before drinking more out of her glass. She finished and set it back down, wiping her mouth with the back of her hand. Noticing that both of them seemed to be at a loss for words, Tari decided to take into her own hands to start another conversation. "So what possessed you to start a tavern here, Elendawen?" It was a pathetic small talk question, but it was the best she could come up with.

Elendawen smiled at Tari, thankful for a new conversation. She looked around a bit nervously. Business was really bad lately. "Well, trade and travel were once the main flourish of Middle Earth. I would have dozens of people staying in the tavern every week, all kinds of people and races coming to buy supplies... But lately, everything has changed. Some of the wise say evil is coming back to Middle Earth. I'm lucky if I get a dozen customers in a month." She looked away, a little bitter. "I orginally started this several years ago...after the war for the Ring, when everything was going back to normal and I was just starting life on my own, a few years short of being a full matured adult. I loved traveling and staying places, because I got to see all kinds people. I decided to start this tavern, and the Bazaar grew from it. It was the crossroads of all Middle Earth! I've seen and heard things that few people have the privelege, and sometimes dishonour, of seeing and hearing. I have learned much, for wise people are eager to teach while they are resting in here. They just like to show off. But I was never schooled...and I know more than most regular people will ever learn in their lives."

Tari was shocked at the length of her answer. 'And I expected a sentence or two!' she thought. She said, "That's a very interesting tale. You are very fornuate to have had such experiences." Tari drained the rest of her glass. "I am thinking of opening my own buisness, but at the moment I am unsure of what I want it to sell."

Elendawen thought about this for a moment. She got herself something to drink and told Tari her idea. "You enjoy the sword, do you not? You could open some kind of armory store. Maybe not here, but in the Hub? My own armory is your average sword, bow and arrow kind of deal. You could find all sorts of armor and weapons, clothing, and such to have in order to sell." She took a drink and then continued. "Not to sound negative here, but it seems as though we may be needing some soon."

Finrod walked in the Tavern, sat down, placed his weapons on the floor, and ordered a drink for here.
