The One Ring to Rule them All

[Sereméla]

Seremela's messenger rode in quickly on a horse from Lothlorien. He was carrying a very important message. It was to be delivered to a respectable Elf in Mirkwood by the name of Nessa Elensar. He quickly found her as she was walking and bowed to her. He stayed on one knee and handed her the parchment with the message in it. "A very important plea from Queen Seremela Tulcakelume of Lothlorien of the Elves," he told her quietly.

It read:

Friend Nessa Elensar of Mirkwood,
I, the queen of Lothlorien, am sending you greetings from our distant country. Times are changing and evil lurks everywhere in Middle Earth unknown to most. I am sure you are aware of these changes. I am asking that you please make an alliance between the Elves of Lothlorien and Mirkwood. This would also ensure another help, for Lothlorien is in agreement with Rivendell as well. I hope you will remember alliances of old and join in to complete the alliances of all the Elves of Middle Earth.

The guard awaited a response from Nessa.

[Lendia]

Lendia noticed a messenger going through the village. "I wonder who that letter's for?" she wondered.

[Sereméla]

((I thought you said in your profile that your character's name was Nessa?))

The messenger went up to Nessa/Lendia ((haha, sorry)) and asked, "Are you Nessa?"

[Lendia]

(occ. oops! srry about that... I am Nessa!))
"Yes! My name is Nessa! Is that letter to me?"

[Sereméla]

"Yes," the guard replied. He handed her the letter, and waited while she read it's contents.

[Lendia]

Nessa read the letter:
Friend Nessa Elensar of Mirkwood,
I, the queen of Lothlorien, am sending you greetings from our distant country. Times are changing and evil lurks everywhere in Middle Earth unknown to most. I am sure you are aware of these changes. She looked up confused. Why had they chosen her for such a task? She looked to the messenger, "If you'll come inside for a minute I'll write down the reply."

[Sereméla]

"The queen, may I add, is in Rivendell to speak with Master Elrond. Maybe if you went, an alliance of all the Elven cities could be stronger," the messenger replied to her, following her inside. "And this evil that has suddenly, once again arisen...we must rid it before it has full-started."

[Lendia]

"And this evil that has suddenly, once again arisen...we must rid it before it has full-started." She heard the messenger say this. She went inside and started to write a message in reply but stopped. It would be better She thoughtTo go in person. Nessa turned to the messenger, "Do you think the queen would mind if I took my sister?"

[Sereméla]

"If it would help, I am sure my queen would be fine with such a request," the messenger replied to her, bowing once more.

[Lendia]

Nessa nodded. It would help, she would not have to find someone to look after her younger sister, instead she could just take her with her. Nessa turned to the messenger, "if you'll just wait here I'll go and get my sister and our stuff." She then turned and ran inside.
Nessa went to her sister talked with her for a couple of minutes, packed their stuff and they both were standing outside with the messenger in half an hour.

[Sereméla]

Seremela's messenger helped her with her things. They got on their horses to travel faster. They started the several-day journey.

A few days later, Seremela's messenger slowed to a stop. "This is the half-way point between Rivendell and Lorien. Do wish for me to come along for protection? There are evil things about these days."

[Lendia]

Lendia nodded, she needed all the protection she could get. She kicked the horse into a trot.

[Sereméla]

The messenger came along with her. They made only one stop that day for food so they could make good time. They were only a day away from Rivendell now.

[Lendia]

Nessa was starting to get nervous. She hoped she was doing the right thing.

[Sereméla]

Seremela's guard looked reassuringly at Nessa. She was a good travel companion. They had talked only a little, but fell mostly in a comfortable silence.

Then they reached Rivendell. They got off the horses and came towards the House of Elrond.
