.:: Specifications ::. Name: Tresté Korih Sith name: Darth Viires Nickname: ‘Tres’ Species: Human Gender: Male Age: 28 galactic standard years Birth planet: Ultaar Current homeplanet: Korriban .:: Attributes ::. Factions: (The) Sith Order Ranks: Sith Lord History: Tresté was born early in 17 ABK / 2343 BBY, the second son of a moderately wealthy family on Ultaar. It was a relatively small family, as most of Tresté’s relatives had died in military service during the war that had occurred many years previous, and his own father had been possibly the only surviving male of his family (some may have served in the Jedi Order, but no immediate relatives). The future Sith and his older brother by a year and a half, Owen, played often over the next years, and Tresté still has vague, pleasant memories of playing with his brother when he was about three or four years old. Life on the planet of Ultaar was one that required much work, with the Korih family being prominent farmers in their area. The two boys spent much time assisting their father, often accompanying him into the local settlement to sell produce such as fruit and meat. Although their assistance at that young age was likely more of a hindrance, it was the beginning of what Goran hoped would become a strong relationship with his sons. In 21 ABK, a Jedi Knight came to Ultaar (the first one since the war’s end) to investigate rumors of a spice operation using an area near the Korih homestead as a safehouse. During her investigation, the Jedi Knight encountered farmer Goran Korih and his two sons in the market. When Goran fell ill for a few days and was incapable of working his market-stall, she volunteered to take over it for him with the assistance of the four and six-year old boys who insisted on ‘keeping an eye on her’. The intentions behind the Jedi’s volunteer work were clear soon, when she informed Goran and his wife that both their sons and Goran himself were force-sensitive, and the boys were capable of being trained as Jedi. The life of a Jedi was one of both danger and heroism – a life Goran both dreamed of and feared for his sons. After a lengthy family debate, Tresté displayed maturity above what was expected at his age and decided that he would train to become a Jedi Knight so that he might return to Ultaar with the capability to protect his family from whatever dangers presented themselves. He was taken to Corusant to begin his Jedi training by the Jedi Knight shortly thereafter. Tresté was enrolled in the Woodoo clan upon arrival at the Jedi temple on Coruscant. His teacher was Elomin Jedi Master, Terijjen Kel Rhinann, who was a renowned lightsaber combatant and specialized in Form III: Soresu. Tresté, despite his young age, was more interested in the books that were stored within the Jedi libraries and archives, and took to studying them. He soon found himself failing to understand the words at his young age and began to ask the librarians to tell him stories about how Jedi Masters of old had fought evil and defeated it. Perhaps it was the failure of the librarians to notice the boy’s curiosity to learn about the most powerful and revered of masters that eventually lead to his downfall, but the blame cannot be pinned on any one person. Still, the signs were there. It is possible that Tresté took the words ‘There is no ignorance, there is knowledge’ to the extreme, as he began to excel in the history sections of his training, displaying an eagerness to learn that surpassed that of his fellows very much so. Later in his life, his thirst for knowledge would transform into a thirst for power. When youngling Korih turned six, he was informed he had reached an appropriate age where he could learn to use a lightsaber. Before he was allowed access to even a training variant of the ancient weapon, he was to attend a month of lessons and lectures on the history of the lightsaber, how it worked, variants on it’s build, how to build one and, most interesting to Tresté, how to fight with one. Thirty-nine days after his birthday, Tresté was given a training lightsaber that possessed a blue blade. The entire of Tresté’s clan began training in Shii-Cho, learning first to defend themselves from droid remotes whilst wearing a blast helmet that would conceal their view. Korih struggled with it at first, and grew angry when fellow youngling Daven Crick achieved the task before him. During in his second lesson he threw his lightsaber to the ground and began shouting about how he couldn’t do it and he was a failure. Perseverance and the assistance of his masters eventually led to success, and once he had grasped the basics, he quickly proceeded through various maneuvers. Despite his skill and growth as a Jedi, by the time Tresté was twelve it seemed that his chances of becoming a Jedi Knight had all passed him by. At this time, Aleena Jedi Knight Caedr Denkae visited the Jedi temple to watch sparring matches. Tresté was eager to prove himself the most worthy of apprenticeship, and but his best effort into the sparring matches that the Aleena watched. Fate had it’s own way, however, and Daven Crick was chosen by Caedr to become the alien’s apprentice. When Tresté expressed his anger over this, Denkae said that the boy should be careful of the Dark Side. The young Korih boy basically ignored the Knight, believing him to be a fool for choosing Crick as his apprentice. Three months later, Caedr Denkae returned to the clan with grave news. Daven Crick had been killed. Tresté did not mourn the death of his rival, but he did not rejoice over it. He held a feeling of indifference to his former rival’s demise and saw it as justification for him to intensify his training. Now closer to being the best in his class, Caedr decided that was Tresté was to become the small alien’s next apprentice. Tresté was thrilled, and quickly left his clan to begin training with his new Master. Caedr Denkae was a skilled Jedi Knight who believed more in the Old Jedi Order than in the new one. He made up for his diminutive size with impressive mastery over the fast style developed by Luke Skywalker and was skilled at Force Empathy. When training his new apprentice, he began, at first, to teach Tresté more about wielding a lightsaber. The boy’s knowledge was limited, and he only knew how to use two forms: Shii-Cho and Shien. With focused training from the Jedi Knight, Tresté began to develop his own style which incorporated elements of the two forms he already knew and those of Caedr’s own swordplay. Further training came in the form of using the Force, and Tresté was taught powers that could be used in a more peaceful manner. Although hesitant to teach him it at first, Caedr eventually taught his apprentice how to use a Jedi Mind Trick – something which the young Ultaari boy thought was a great power for it’s manipulation and control over others. When his skills were judged adequate and his views were assessed, Tresté left the Jedi temple with his master for their first mission. The travel there was exquisite, to say the least. The Skakoan inhabitants of the planet gifted them with one of their luxury shuttles, a fact that seemed to agitate Master Denkae. Tresté, however, loved the ship and rejoiced in its comforts. When they arrived on the planet the two Jedi were given a full report on what their mission would be, which revealed itself as an investigation into illegal droid production in the southern hemisphere of the planet. Tresté believed the mission would be quite simple and put forward a plan that the two Jedi would simply storm the facility and kill anyone inside. Caedr was shocked by his apprentice’s plan and turned the mission into a teaching of the danger of the Dark Side of the Force. Tresté regarded the teachings as unnecessary and dismissed them as monotonous and far from required. Eventually, the two located and infiltrated the factory, but were soon located by a group of patrolling battle droids when Tresté hit an elevator switch against the advice of his master, who knew that anyone who hit a lift button was immediately watched by a hidden camera. When the droids arrived, Tresté’s saber leapt to his hand and ignited, whilst his master stayed calm and raised his hands. Caedr urged his apprentice to lower his saber, but the young Jedi would not comply, and Caedr was forced to utilize a powerful mind trick against the boy so he did not bring ruin to their mission. The two Jedi were taken to the only place within the factory where they would meet death, the large halls where molten metal was poured into appropriate moulds. Tresté was placed inside one of these moulds, and he was unaware what happened to his master until later. The Jedi Padawan was able to free himself of the mould by utilizing force telekinesis to guide the molten metal around him instead towards him, so the mould was broken. However, Tresté had not worked out what would happen next and he fell from the mould, which was attached to a large rack, to a conveyor belt that was at least twenty feet below. The young Jedi broke his ankle and was then forced to avoid the advance of newly constructed droids, using the force to discard them of their blasters before they were used. Tresté was able to supply himself with a dosage of painkillers from his medical kit, and strapped the ankle up with torn parts of his robe for much-needed support. Using the force, he was able to leap to a viewing balcony and set about exploring the facility with a scavenged blaster rifle, searching for his master. Tresté’s lack of intense training was clearly obvious to the droids who battled him as he hobbled through the complex of halls, as they managed to land at least three shots on his left shoulder. Tresté found a way to utilize the pain in combat, however, and allowed it to fuel his passion for battle. He wasn’t aware of it at the time, but he was utilizing a technique of the Dark Side – one what had been used by Sith Lords such as Darth Sion. After what seemed like a day, but was in truth no more than an hour, Tresté located his master under ruthless interrogation at the hands of two torture droids. He quickly shot down the spherical deviants and freed his master. Both of them were too injured to carry on, and the mission was treated as a failure. Leaving the world with a heavy heart, Tresté failed to inform his master of what had supplied him with the strength that had allowed him to ignore the intense injuries he took, although he would most definitely realize it in their next mission. Tresté was treated for injuries on Coruscant soon after his return, having a short stay in a bacta tank and built a second lightsaber, this time yellow, before returning to his training. Caedr, having noticed his lack of patience during the time they had spent together within the mission began lessons in the skill, but they proved useless. Knowing it was an obstacle that could not yet be tackled, Caedr choose, poorly, for the two to embark on another mission. Tresté, now fourteen, was more than ready. The asteroid fields of some obscure solar system were the stage for this next assignment, a place strong in the Dark Side. Caedr’s preference of skills rather than knowledge made him practically unaware of this fact, and his ignorance led to incidents that would culminate in him refusing to teach Tresté. A somewhat surprisingly large amount of ships had appeared in the system and the Jedi Council had requested a pair of Jedi Knights to be sent to the system to engage in diplomatic relations with the commander of the pirate fleet. The pair traveled to the fleet in a pair of Z-95 headhunters, and landed in a Wayfarer-class medium transport to meet with the commander of the force, a Jaq Draco. Jaq willingly showed them he was trained in the force as soon as they arrived, giving each of them a drink through means of telekinesis. Both Jedi were immediately suspicious, and both reached out to try and get some idea as to the man’s alignment. Tresté was too weak to get any idea, but Caedr immediately discovered that Jaq was a practitioner of the Dark Side. One thing that should be noted about the Dark Jedi Jaq Draco was he was incredibly skilled in the art of persuasion, and Tresté was a man whom he soon deemed ready to become his apprentice. When Jaq offered Tresté the chance to join the fleet with a large degree of persuasion, Tresté was incredibly tempted. Jaq had presented himself as a strong force-user that could teach him much more than the Jedi could, and Korih’s own relationship with Caedr was not the best. An argument broke out between Caedr and Jaq about Tresté, which soon developed into a lightsaber duel. Caedr quickly proved himself the better dueler, depriving Jaq of his lightsaber somewhat quickly and holding his own saber to the Dark Jedi’s neck. Tresté, who had been too afraid to intervene, found himself facing a man who acted as his father about to strike down a man who could help him further his own power and make him a better Jedi Knight. Not wanting to lose the chance to become Jaq’s apprentice before he had weighed out the option, Tresté ignited his saber across the strike of his master, blocking it. Jaq, impressed by the Jedi Padawan’s willingness to disobey, urged him to attack his master. Tresté denied the man such a pleasure and instead requested that Jaq be given a fair trial about the possession of illegally armed ships. Jaq Draco was imprisoned for several months before being released due to politics Tresté never took the effort to learn. Caedr, who was convinced that the death of Jaq Draco would’ve been far more progressive in terms of peacekeeping, told Tresté that he could no longer teach a student who was so willing to disobey and rebel. Disowned and masterless, Tresté considered leaving the Jedi Order. However, his determination to possess the power to protect those who could not protect themselves kept him within the Order for another few years, and he sought out his old youngling teacher for the continuation of his training. Terijjen Kel Rhinnan, however, would only train the young Korih in the ways of the Lightsaber. When the boy craved more knowledge in the Force and various ways in which it was viewed, Terijjen sent him to the man who had trained him. Adryn Perhi was a war veteran, and an old man. Judged as a Gray Jedi by some of the order, he began to teach Korih that a good man could use powers normally attributed to the Dark Side if he was not afraid of the Dark Side. Tresté, mistaking his the temptation of the Dark Side for a complete lack of fear of it, began to practice it. At the age of eighteen he left the Jedi Order. Tresté’s first destination after his abandonment of the Jedi Order was his home planet, Ultaar. Once there he sought out anyone with the last name ‘Korih’, and located his brother. Owen was delighted to see his brother return home, but soon noticed a weary look in his eyes and sensed he was troubled. When Owen asked his brother what the problem was, he was ignored, and saw it best not to pursue it. Tresté lived with his brother for about six months, and visited his father often. Attachments were made, and then Adryn came. He claimed that Tresté was dangerous and needed to return to the Jedi Order to be safe from the Dark Side. Tresté fled. He fled to the only people who would accept his practicing of the Dark Side. The Sith Order. He made his name as an Acolyte, his Jedi training giving him an advantage both in skill and prestige and allowing him to obtain the title of 'Sith Warrior' far before any of his fellows. After years in the Sith Order, he claimed the name of 'Darth Viires' for himself. Only one man challenged him - a Sith Lord whose name was not remembered. His preceding death earned Tresté the rank of Sith Lord officially. [I didn't like the end, but I felt the history was too long.] Personality: As a young Jedi, Tresté possessed a dry sense of humor and sarcastic wit. Jedi Masters at the time sensed his master’s defiance in him, but thought of it as nothing more than a trait that would prove more of a help in the Jedi’s progression rather than a hindrance. This defiance would later grow into one against the teachings of the Jedi as a whole, and Tresté would often scrutinize his fellow Jedi and point out their weaknesses, believing himself to be far more superior. As Tresté’s interactions with the galaxy beyond the Jedi grew, his questionings of the Jedi teachings on the force increased. He retains that inquisitive nature today, along with the distrust in anything he is informed is most definitely true. Tresté is a refined user of the Dark Side, having been trained in it by several individuals. He is a believer in the idea that beings are not created equals, and the strong were meant to rule the weak, not serve them or co-exist with them. It is this belief that is one of the leading reasons for his allegiance to the Sith Lords. They are the only thing related to the Sith Lords of old, who recognized the inferiority of others and rightfully inserted themselves as rulers among weaker cultures. Tresté also sees no value in wealth or most other material possessions, and believes some of the more vain men in the world are foolish enough to care about such things. Strengths:- The Force: Tresté has been trained in the force since the age of four, and has considerable knowledge of both the Light and Dark Sides. He possesses an ability to multitask – using the Force along with his lightsaber in combat. Over the twenty-four years of his training he has learned a variety of skills including but not limited to telekinesis, Force sense, Precognition, empathy, very minor telepathy and concealment.
- Combat: Tresté has possessed a lightsaber in some form or another since he was six, and has considerable training in use of the weapon. During his time as a Jedi, he learned Form I (Shii-Cho) and Form V (Shien), in addition to elements of Form IV (Ataru). After his fall to the Dark Side he learned the variant of Form V (Djem So) and elements of Form VII (Juyo). He meshes skills from this variety of forms to create his own personal combat style.
- Piloting: From a young age Tresté dreamed of travelling the galaxy in a starship, and his life as a Jedi allowed him to learn how to pilot a starship. He proved himself to be a natural pilot and is incredibly skilled at piloting his starship, the Chrysalide.
Weaknesses:- Charisma: Tresté's charisma, or rather lack of, is a considerable flaw should he ever choose to partake in the commanding of Sith troops. For this reason, he tends to keep to himself and does not make allies or friends with ease.
- The Force: Tresté's strong connection with the Force has it's downsides. For the majority of his life has depended on the Force for his fighting prowess and strengths, and he lacks many skills that do not include the use of the Force.
- Morally conscious: A definite weakness for a Sith Lord. Tresté is forever trying to justify his actions with beliefs that he is doing it all for the greater good. Unwilling to admit his monstrous nature, he is considered weak by a few fellow Lords for his refusal to turn into a cold, heartless monster.
Likes:Dislikes:- Ignorance
- The Sith Order
- Chaos
Fears:- Inability to justify his actions
- Confrontation with a member of the Jedi Council
- Enemies he lacks knowledge of
Face: Tresté's face is fairly handsome, with a certain charm to it that has persisted post-adolescence. His skin has managed to remain uncorrupted by his allegiance to the dark side, maintaining its natural caucasian tone yet tanned slightly darker by his exposure to many suns. Body structure: Tresté stands 1.79 meters tall, making him one of the taller humans within the galaxy, although not abnormally tall. He is quite athletic in build and weighs something close to one hundred and sixty pounds. Scars: Tresté's body is decorated with a variety of scars, all of which are not worthy of particular mention and are only visible with close and awkward scrutiny. The scars from his ascension through the ranks of the Sith are most prominent, including one across his left eye and disfigured skin on his right cheek which makes him wear a single plate of armor on it. On the bridge of the Imperator the hologram projector burst to life for the first time since the transmission from the Jedi Knight, this time with the face of Admiral Dru Hellin as it’s image. Tresté’s eyes darted from the battle to the moustached face of the Admiral. He tilted his head in questioning of what the contact was about, and Hellin received the hint and began to report.
“The troopers report that there’s at least one Jedi on the battlefield. The dissidents have retreated into one of the university buildings, or some kind of library. It might be both. I’m certain the best course of action would be sending down several more platoons and a squad of Malus Guard. All we need is a commander for these additional forces,” Hellin said, his voice crisp and well-mannered. After the mention of a requirement for a commander, he seemed to lean slightly towards the Sith and raised his eyebrows a millimeter. Tresté nodded and let out a breathy sigh, accompanied with the words ‘I’ll do it’.
Admiral Hellin would be tasked with mopping up the last few remains of the Lorrdian fleet while Tresté dealt with breaking the capable ground defense that the Republic was offering. It was an obvious set-up and a simple one, but both men were fairly certain that the sudden assistance of a lightsaber on the side of the Sith Empire would most definitely help them, especially one of a man who it was said would soon be Lorded at the feet of the Emperor himself. Even with his complete lack of charisma Tresté would still be an inspiring figure on the battlefield, it seemed. Better than any brutish Stormtrooper commander or snobbish General was a youthful man who was strong, determined, experienced and respected.
The shuttle that Tresté entered was a Lambda-class, like those that had been used more than fifty years ago by the Sith empire. Ten Malus Guard filled it, each one wearing the matching uniform and short cloaks they were recognized for and clutching a bayoneted blaster rifle. They sat completely still, reminding Tresté of deactivated droids, and the only other man who made a movement in the deck emerged from the cockpit. He wore the armor of the Malus Guard with the exception that he was wearing a kama instead of a cloak. His attention darted directly to Tresté, studying him from behind the helmet before speaking.
“I’m Captain Jennir. There’s a spare seat here in the cockpit for you,” the man said, nodding his head towards the room behind him. “I’ll sit here with the squad. We’ll be landing about half a mile from the Republic holdout.” Tresté thanked the Captain and swept past him into the cockpit, taking a seat and resting his hands on his thighs. The Twi’lek pilot next to him – one who’s twitching, slimy lekku disgusted him – flicked several switches and announced that he was about to lift off. Tresté focused on the hangar beyond the viewscreen and sat silently as the ship lifted off.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The boarding ramp descended upon a hellish vision, one which assaulted every sense with horror and translated the fear that filled the streets into images that did not make good pin-ups for war. Ears were attacked by the sound of screaming women, the cries of small children, blaster fire, explosions, shouting soldiers, collapsing structures and occasionally the horrid silence that followed yet another massacre. As the Malus Guard fanned out to ensure the area was secure, Tresté’s eyes fell upon the writhing body mass that was being treated by a medic. After a short moment of scrutiny, he discovered this writhing body mass was that of an injured woman. Narrowing his eyes, the Sith made his way quickly towards the medic and woman, standing over them to get a better look.
The woman’s right leg was no longer really hers save for the fact it was attached to the bloody and gory end of her thigh by half a muscle. The medic seeing to her was trying to assure her that ‘everything was going to be alright’ and that if she just took the pill he was offering he would be able to amputate the leg easily. The woman, however, was protesting. She was shouting at him about how the Empire had done this and she wasn’t letting them fix it. It was not the lack of treatment that the medic was giving her that was angering Tresté however, it was the fact she was still alive.
“What happened here?” he asked, drawing the attention of the medic.
“She was in the street when a grenade exploded. Must’ve been one that the soldiers threw upon arrival and it just didn’t explode when it was meant to.”
“You’re not following orders,” Tresté stated coldly in reply, his sulfuric eyes burning into the brown ones of the medic. “If she was in the street she should be dead.”
“We received no such order.” The revelation was met with no physical reaction from Tresté, but inside his head each thought fought with the others in anger over what had happened. Captain Templar – a man who had been demoralized but had never been suspected of treachery – had betrayed the Empire. He had, or at least would be charged with, not relaying an order and as a result jeopardizing the success of an Imperial mission. The worst thing for Templar was not that he was now doomed, it was that his little hero act had accomplished nothing for whatever was trying to achieve. Now that Tresté had arrived on the ground the order would be carried out and the Lorrdian people would be made an example of.
“Give me your pistol,” Tresté said, stretching out his hand towards the soldier. The woman was whimpering, apparently aware of what was going to happen. The medic hesitated a moment before lifting up the leather cover of the holster and pulling out his slugthrower. He slid his index finger into the trigger-circle and held the weapon upside-down, the nozzle pointed at his commander. With a flick of his hand the pistol spun around one-hundred-and-eighty degrees. Tresté grabbed the handle of the weapon and pulled it from the medic’s grasp. He switched his gaze to the woman and slowly turned his aim to her head.
The wind in the street in which the shuttle had landed seemed to slow down, as did time itself. The Malus Guard remained stationary, blasters pointed down the surrounding alleyways as they awaited the order from their commander. The medic had risen from his crouching position and turned away, apparently suffering from moral conflict but lacking the courage to act on it. The woman, now fully aware of what her fate was, was attempting to feebly escape and plea at the same time. Every time she moved her barely-attached leg tugged on the torn muscle, causing her words to be interrupted by a cry of pain. The pistol came level with her head, and with a louder-than-it-should-have-been clap the woman fell down, a slug having made a neat hole through her forehead and into her skull.
“Captain Jennir, contact Admiral Hellin and inform him of Captain Templar’s treachery. That man is not to leave the bridge of the Imperator,” Tresté said, turning his head from the woman to the figure of the man, who was reading the datapad that had appeared in his hands (probably previously stored out of sight). He relayed his commander’s order almost immediately and then looked back to him for the next commands. “Contact the command center and tell them that I have ordered any non-Imperial personnel in the streets to be terminated. When that’s done, we’ll make our way to the university.”
The journey to the university was one that Tresté took to at a brisk walk, the Malus Guard jogging behind him. As they made their way through the streets of Lorrd city they passed Stormtrooper squadrons, Republic captives who knelt down with their hands behind their heads while they stared at the ground and the occasional flamethrower-wielding trooper destroying a building with his weapon and the assistance of grenades. Occasionally an explosion would occur in a random area, but none came close to the Malus Guard and the Sith Warrior. As the university came into sight Tresté moved his hands from beside him to behind clasped behind him, glancing over the Imperial forces that surrounded the building. At the appearance of the black-armored man several white-helmeted heads turned and some of the figures even rose.
A commander, signified by the dark blue markings on his armor, approached the Supreme Commander and began reporting how the battle of the University had progressed so far. After several seconds, Tresté rose a black-gloved hand to silence him. “I know all this, Commander,” he stated, lowering his hand and returning it to behind his back. “Just tell what’s stopping you from progressing.”
“The door. The Jedi … she … wedged the door in the hallway. We can’t move it, and we’re certain they have anti-vehicle weaponry so we can’t get any tanks in there to push it. To be honest, I don’t see what you can do.”
“Can you set up E-Web turrets at the door and give me covering fire while I move the door?” Tresté asked, fairly certain he knew what would solve the issue.
“Yes, sir, but that won’t stop them shooting at you.”
“My gift from Lord Felinus will do that.”
“Very well. I’ll have the turrets set up.”
True to his word, the commander immediately ordered a squadron of Stormtroopers to set up four E-Web turrets along the area where the door had once been and informed them to give Commander Korih covering fire. As soon as the turrets were up Tresté gave an appreciative nod to the Stormtrooper commander before walking up to the entrance and snatching his lightsaber from his belt. In what was to some an anti-climatic beginning to his feat, Tresté simply slipped into the hallway between two the turrets and activated his lightsaber, batting away the few shots that had a chance of hitting him with relative ease. It was easy to access the Dark Side of the Force here, where so much pain had occurred in such a short course of time. It almost flowed through the hallway, empowering Tresté and enabling him to perform the act he was about to.
Red streams of blaster fire began to flow from the turrets as Tresté strode forwards and for a moment there was a lull in the blaster fire coming from the Republic and Lorrdian soldiers. It was enough. It wasn’t the first time in his life that Tresté was grateful of his choice to learn how to produce a Force Barrier at such a young age, and he rose his hand, imagining a force-field type thing appearing in front of him and then projecting it with the Force. Evidence of his success – a success he had been almost certain of – came when a blaster bolt was deflected from the air in front of him. Now, however, he had set the ticking clock. He only had so much time before he would have to stop producing the barrier.
He returned his lightsaber to his belt with a quick movement and then held both his hands out in front of him as if he was grasping a large rock, tensing the muscles in his hands and arms and stretching out with the Force. He gripped the door with the Force, testing the strength of the wall around it by tugging at it. The corners twitched, having been shifted slightly, but nothing else happened. He closed his eyes. ‘Size matters not.’ The words of Jedi Master Oppa, a Jedi who had given Tresté a little training during his duration as a Jedi, rang through his head. It was a well-known teaching when dealing with telekinesis, one that had supposedly been given to Luke Skywalker himself by Yoda himself. Tresté imagine the door as nothing but a pebble, he convinced himself that in the short time his eyes had been closed that the door had been compacted to the size and weight of a pebble by some unknown force. It worked. He threw his hands forward, sending a great surge of energy through the force and sending the door further into the hallway.
The wall offered no resistance to the door, the parts of it that were in the way being ripped up and creating a heavy layer of dust and debris that paused the battle for a short while. Republic and Lorrdian soldiers dived out of the way of the door, which eventually found it’s way into a larger room and fell onto the floor with a resounding bang. The pause of the battle was broken by the unmistakable snap-hiss of a lightsaber activating, and a red blade was just visible through even the thickest of the dust. Tresté performed a grand leap that took him almost fifteen feet into the air as the Stormtrooper Commander ordered the Imperial forces to charge. Blasters fire met blaster fire as Tresté landed at the forefront of the Lorrdian lines, raising a hand and toppling the nearest three soldiers like dominoes. He swept his blade diagonally from his right hip to his left shoulder, turning the blade from facing down to facing up and batting away blaster fire all at the same time before mirroring the movement from his left hip to right shoulder. Stormtroopers emerged from the dust behind him and he began his orchestra of death.
With a thrust Tresté drove his weapon into the chest of a vibroblade-wielding Lorrdian soldier, burning through the flimsy plasteel armor and delivering a kick to the stomach that moved him from his path. A young man, no older than eighteen, raised a blaster pistol and fired directly at Tresté’s chest. A look of utter bemusement fell upon his face when the blast hit the armor plate of the Sith and did nothing except alert the force-sensitive of the young man’s presence. With a fell swipe of his lightsaber, Tresté cut through the man’s torso and left him on the floor to die. Moving swiftly on, he broke into a short run which allowed him to engage in combat with a vibroblade-wielder who was slaying any Stormtroopers that came near him. The man turned to see the approaching Sith and caught the lightsaber blade with his weapon, quickly being overpowered by the ferocity of Djem So and jumping back to avoid death from a sudden sweep that would have severed his abdomen.
The duel was one that wouldn’t last long due to the overwhelming and overpowering nature of the seemingly endless Imperial forces. The vibroblade-wielding soldier was attempting to fight off a man who had been trained as both a Jedi and a Sith and had the power of a strong Jedi Knight. It was completely one-sided, chance just allowed the man to survive longer than he should have. Every time Tresté swung his blade it was met, most of the time at the last second, by the vibroblade and was just forced away. Eventually, however, the man switched from his purely defensive technique and attempted to bring down a strong blow on his opponent. Tresté used the Force to amplify his speed and knocked the blade back up and loosened the grip that the man had before jumping and bending his leg up, smacking the man in the face the durasteel-covered knee. With a single swipe he cut through the man’s waist and separated him into two halves.
Now undisturbed by the annoying determinacy of a single man, he surveyed the battle around him. Republic and Lorrdian soldiers were fleeing and Stormtroopers were securing the position. Tresté could not see a lightsaber amongst the Lorrdian forces, however, and turned his attention bitterly to the approaching commander. “They’re falling back to the center, my lord,” the commander said, looking at the fleeing men. “To a courtyard, or at least the Jedi is. They’ll be freighters and transports ready for them to make their escape,” the commander continued, turning his head to his commanding officer. With a resigned acceptance, Tresté quickly made his decision as to what he would do.
“Hunt down the Lorrdian and Republic forces. I’ll deal with the Jedi,” he said, and after an accepting nod from the commander he began to make his way quickly in the direction that the enemy had fled.
The courtyard was an easy place to find, being less than an eighth of a mile from the previous battlefield. When he entered it, however, he found it empty and silent except for the sound of running water. It was beautiful, even he could respect that, and it’s centerpiece was a fountain which sat upon stone lions who sat in a circle. The roofs of the surrounding buildings were tiled and foliage was present in each corner in the form of small bushes. It was bordered by pillars and the walls had carvings in them that Tresté suspected had some importance to someone.
He closed his eyes and once again stretched out with Force, feeling for nearby beings. He searched for a feeling that he knew would be alive in this Jedi – hope. Hope that she would survive and continue to serve the galaxy’s ‘best’ interests, hope that what she had done today had not been in complete vain and any other forms he believe might reside in her. For a brief moment there was a shiver in the Force, and he had a feeling of nostalgia for less than a second. He had sensed something he had not sensed since … he turned his thoughts back to locating the Jedi and not worrying over the impossible (or rather unlikely). When he determined she was close, within earshot at least, he opened his eyes and walked towards the center of the courtyard.
“I know you are here, Jedi. I know you hope for victory even now. You know that hope is futile. Recognize the truth. Recognize the superiority of my power and submit yourself to my will.” The words were polite in presentation, and Tresté was almost certain of little help in turning the Jedi to the Dark Side. But that was not his aim, not at all. He wanted to make the Jedi fear him as he had once feared them, he wanted to make the Jedi suffer from nightmares due to the terror he would cause. Such a thing was power, and would allow him to have ultimate control. Rule by fear. |

| QUOTE | Congratulations!
Your character has been created! You are now ready to take them out into the galaxy, to roleplay with your fellow members and gain a name for yourself on The Old Republic. Before you do that, however, we ask that you do a few things.
1. Read the Rules, if you already haven't. Make sure you know what you can and cannot do.
2. Look at the FAQ and Newbie Guide. They will definately help you get a grip on the roleplaying and other items.
3. View the Character Inventory and add the code into your signature. You need it to make transactions.
Once you're finished doing those, you can go ahead and roleplay. Have fun on Star Wars: The Old Republic!
