Gabrielle wished that everything would go back to normal. She definently hadn't come around yet to the fact that in her stomach she was carrying a tiny little baby, that was growing each day. She hated that she was no longer as tiny as she used to be, and seemed to be growing bigger everyday. Gabrielle was not a fan of her sudden urges to eat salty food at anytime of night, which explained why she was sitting on the floor of the kitchens, eating a bag of potato chips like there was no tomorrow. Most people would be happy that they were pregnant, but Gabrielle was faintly disgusted. She hated her frequent bladder urges, the way people looked at her as if they seemed to know. She hated everything about being pregnant. And no matter how many times she tried to talk herself in to liking the fact that she no longer had to worry about eating to much, Gabrielle didn't think she could ever like it. She hadn't told anyone of her current situation, but she was sure Draco had been talking about it. Not that it really mattered, since everyone would know eventually, but Gabrielle wished they wouldn't. Or at least that she had someone to talk to that knew what she was going to. Yes, Gabrielle would trade the whole world knowing for just someone to talk to about being a reluctant mother.

Jess had been wandering the halls, unable to sleep, yet again. He somehow kept waking up in the middle of the night, and not being able to fall back asleep, so, he had taken to coming down to the kitchens to make some tea. He entered, and went about his tea making routine as usual when he suddenly spotted someone on the floor and jumped. "Oh!" He took a breath, and sighed. "Oh, Bri, its you, you scared me half to death sitting on the floor." He said with a laugh. "You can't sleep either?" He took out a cup and paused before putting it down. "DO you want some tea?" He asked nicely, wondering if she had come here because she just couldn't sleep, or, if she had some other stuff bugging her. People tended to come down to the kitchens in the middle of the night when they were stressed. He had no bloody clue why, but, he used to bump into Ver down here all the time when she was stressing and drinking coffee.

"Oh. Hi, Jess." Gabrielle had been watching him make tea for awhile, silently hoping that he wouldn't notice her on the ground. She rolled the bag up and put it back in the cupboard, ashamed of being seen pigging out so late at night. "Mmm.. Usually, I would say yes without thinking, but I have to ask if it's caffein-free. Is it?" Gabrielle sighed, resting her arms on the kitchen counter, and placing her chin on top of her hands. "Sorry I scared you. I was having more stupid cravings, and I haven't figured out how to ignore them- yet. Why are you up?" Gabrielle was faintly curious now, and watched him expectantly.

Jess smiled. "Its alright, its not really your fault, I think anything could surprise me at night, even if it was just a mouse." He said with a small laugh. Jess looked at the package and smiled. "Yup, its caffeine free, just out of curiosity, how come it matters? And, cravings?...Anything you need to talk about?" He said with a comforting look as he continued to make the tea, heating water up, and then pouring it into the cups, and putting the packages in. "There, the tea should be good in a few." He said, handing her a cup. He grabbed out some sugar, lemon, and cream, not knowing which Bri would prefer, and poured a little bit of sugar and a lemon slice in his cup. "Anyway, I'm up because for the third night in a row, I've woken up, and I can't get back to sleep." He said with a disappointed look. "It really is getting rather annoying. I'd just like to sleep through the night once, and I'd be so bloody happy."

"I guess. It is a bit spooky down here." Gabrielle took the cup from Jess with a small smile, and added a teaspoon of sugar to her tea, and took a sip, wondering if she could trust Jess to keep her secret. "Third night in a row? You might wanna have that looked at. It could be something like insomnia, or maybe you could be feeling guilty about something. The possibilities are endless, but I doubt it could be good to not be able to get a good nights sleep." Gabrielle paused, and cleared her throat, pointing at the cup that she had placed on the counter."This tea isn't half bad. I was worried there for a second. Usually, guys can't make anything." She was teasing now, trying to be her happy self for a second. "This may be the beginning of a beautiful friendship." "The cravings and the caffeine, well, I might as well tell you since it'll be hard to hide in a few weeks, and then all hell will break loose when people find out. I'm a bit.. pregnant." Her last sentance was barely above a whisper, and she looked down at the liquid in her cup. She had finally told someone. "It's been a few weeks since I've known, and I've been going crazy wondering how I'm going to deal with being a mother at seventeen. Draco's very happy about it, but I just keep thinking about what an awful mother I am going to be. Stupid, right?" Gabrielle managed a small laugh, but it sounded all wrong.

Jess nodded and frowned. "Yeah, I know. Its probably just a touch of insomnia, or maybe stress, i'm not sure. But, if it goes on for much longer, I'm going to have to go see Dani." He said as he shrugged, hoping it would go away on its own. He laughed as she said the comment about the tea. "Oh, what little faith you have in me. You'd be surprised, if bribed with enough, I can even make a fabulous chocolate cake." He said as he grinned.
He took a deep breath as he heard the last piece of information she said. "Pregnant? Wow, well, congratulations!" He had a shocked expression for a moment, but, it soon faded into a smile. "You know, its not something shameful. Your married, and, to a husband who will probably be there for you forever. Draco can be quite stubborn. Its really something to celebrate." He paused to take a sip of his tea. "And," He looked her straight in the eyes, "I know you'll make a great mother. I can already tell that your a caring person, who'd do anything for people. And, really, thats all you need to take care of your child. The ability to love it with everything. I can see it in your eyes, kid, and you got that." He smiled, "And, by the way, its never stupid to feel something you actually feel. Its natural. Believe me, your not the only one who'd be feeling like that in your situation. My best friend at Hogwarts got pregnant in her 7th year, and it was the hardest thing she'd ever done, but, she got through it, and, once that baby came, she said it was the best thing that had ever happened to her. You'll get through it, and all of your friends will support and care for you. But, if they don't, you can always come and talk to me, alright? I could even be persuaded to make cake." He said with a genuine smile, as he gave Bri a reassuring pat on the shoulder.

"Mm.. Dani can pretty much solve anything, even though she's been gone a lot lately. I hardly know how the school gets along without her." Gabrielle said with a smile, drinking some more of the hot tea. "Chocolate cake? Yum. Haha, chocolate is like the best thing that has ever happen to this rock of a planet. Well, besides magic." "Thanks, but it doesn't really feel like being another teenage pregnancy is something to be happy about. I'm afraid that I'll end up more like my mother than I care to be. And everything is always so messed up around here. People always go missing, and it's usually Draco if it happens. There's almost always someone fighting here. And I can't even get started on IT." Gabrielle really couldn't make herself agree with what Jess was saying. He may have been right, but it was really hard to believe that her life wasn't over. She had just barely begun living it. "And Draco suggested that if I didn't want it, I could 'not have it', but I don't think I'd be able to do that. He's as excited as he could ever be, and it would have killed him to not have it. And I'm not the kind of person to do that sort of thing, you know? I just... I don't want to have a kid who is brought in to all this mess, but I do like kids. For the distant future."
