She stood in the middle of her room, things piled on her bed. Her dress for the christmas ball back at Hogwarts, her pictures, various other things crumpled and tossed carelessly into a box. She went to her desk, pulled the catch and pulled the necklace from the small box. She wispered his name softly and the necklace did not move. She doubted it ever would. It was slipped into her pocket and the photos, dress and junk was shoved in the compartment.

The letter was rolled and tied with it's ribbon, resting on her nightstand, a reminder of why everything was going to change, why she was leaving for good. If she stayed, she'd only ruin things, make things harder... Her shoulders drooped sadly and she sighed, almost inperceptibly.

She was regretting her agreement now, the one to make her older, to erase those ten years he was gone.

She had long ago realized that her timeline was not the way it was supposed to be, that the only reason they approched her was to make it right. But, things changed, nevertheless. She was leaving because she was more use elsewhere, pining over somthing that would never happen again had always been pointless, but for ten years, she had pined away.

The reminders of her two years with him were pushed away, her name still remained. Dani no longer went by Dani, she went by Danielle.
