Rain and a Party, <open>

[Draco Malfoy]

TMA had a three day weekend, and some of the Magids desided to throw a party, With Tom's permission, at The Leaky Cauldron. Some of the better Magids created glowing blue circles that served as transporters. Two were in TMA's entrance hall, and two were in the corner of the Leaky Cauldron.

It had been a few days since Draco had returned, and, best of all, he hadn't had a dream yet! Draco stepped through the doors, into the Leaky Cauldron soaked. He had just been out for a walk. Things seemed to be becoming more normal, but Draco was still cautios and wary of the three months he had lost. Sometimes he thought, 'I hurt Harry and Brielle without knowing it, what else, possibly as bad or worse, did I do?' However, he never spoke of these thoughts to anyone.

[Gabrielle Delacour]

Gabrielle stepped through the portal in the Entrance hall at the Magid Academy, and magically found herself in the Leaky Couldron for the party.
Shaking her blonde mane, she looked around wondering how long it would be until more people arrived. Still not seeing Draco, she ordered a butterbeer and sat down at a table, staring blankly at the table, which had inscriptions of 'Abby and John' and 'Marissa loves ?'.
She had forgiven Draco so easily for what he had done, it nearly scared her to care that much for someone. What if he hurt her again? Would she still feel like she would do anything for him? She had never really met anyone she had loved or even liked before him. How very difficult life must be for those who fall in love every other day!

Draco shook himself off, although he didn't bother to use his powers to dry himself off. He glanced around at the small party. Where was everyone? He wondered. As he glanced around, some Magids and their dates appeared. Others began coming through the portals. He smiled, knowing he was early for the party. He glanced around once more and caught sight of Brielle at a table. He slowly walked over to her. "Hey, Brielle. You look beautiful." He grinned. Since he awoken, he would have said she was beautiful no matter what. He took a seat next to her. They had not kissed since he 'came back'. He was...ashamed, maybe? He felt like he should take it slow, for he didn't deserve to kiss her, again, yet. Or so he thought.

[Harry Potter]

Harry too entered. Moments after his brother, actually. He shook, the water falling off of him before he waved his hand, dry and back to normal. He looked around, his eyes landing on Draco and Brielle. He ordered a butterbeer and smiled at the barmaid before moving over to Draco and Bri's table. "Hi, guys... Can I sit with you?" he asked, rubbing the back of his neck with his empty hand.

[Gabrielle Delacour]

"Thanks." Gabrielle said blushing, pleased with that simple compliment. "You look really handsome, too."
Glancing up at Harry, she smiled. "I don't mind, do you, Draco?"
It felt as if Draco had never dissappeared, almost as if everything were back to normal and only had to worry about school work and not about Draco relapsing in to his very strange condition.

[Draco Malfoy]

Draco smiled. "Of course. How could I say no?" He smiled at Harry, motioning towards a chair across from him. "How have you two been sleeping since I...returned?" He asked, knowing it must have been tremendously hard on them. It's been hard since he returned. After all, he has yet to use his powers or to kiss Brielle. That's why he shrugged off a soaked cloak instead of just drying himself. He was still slightly wet, espeshially his really long and shaggy hair.

[Harry Potter]

Harry smiled gratefully at Draco and Brielle, sitting down in the chair Draco indicated. "I've been all right... Normal, I guess. Normal for me, that is." he replied softly, taking a drink. He watched his brother. Why was Draco still wet? Normally, he'd be dry the moment he was indoors. But, wait.... Harry touched Draco's mind with a question. ~Have you even used your magic?~

[Gabrielle Delacour]

"I've been sleeping wonderfully. I haven't been as stressed out as I had been when you were 'on you trip'." Gabrielle replied, using her new term for refering to Draco's absence and took a sip of butterbeer.
"Draco, why don't you dry off? You're going to catch a cold and you'll get sick." Gabrielle stopped and tried to think of something bad that would happen if someone got sick. "And- and- you'll miss out on other parties."

[Draco Malfoy]

Draco took a deep breath as his gaze darted around the room instead of looking at either of them. ~No. Not since...I woke up.~ He murmered. "What do you think of this party? Not as lively as the Magids normally make it." He observed, trying to slip around Brielle's comments on his...wetness.

[Harry Potter]

Harry sighed, setting his bottle down and waving his hand gently in the general direction of Draco who was instantly dry. He shook his head, hands retuning to his bottle of butterbeer. ~Then we're going to talk to Cara. If you can't use it... Or if it's wacked... She needs to know.~ he kept his eyes cast down still. He hadn't been as... Harrish, you could say science Draco had left, even now, not really the same. He was sullen... But, then agian, he was never seen with Hermione either. Sure, sure, sure. You'd see Hermione. And you'd see Harry... But not together... Confusing, eh?

((He Bri? Would you play Hermione for a bit? Seeing as out Hermione up and ran... Lol. I don't mind if you say no... It'd just be slightly more interesting for Harry, I think.

Ohohsee: Oh my god. I was just about to say that I could sub for Hermy until we got one. So it shall be done, Emma lubb.

"Psh. This party is not that fun. It needs music, balloons, and someone to poke fun at." Gabrielle said, twirling a strand of hair around her finger, not noticing that Draco had dodged her question. "Its not living up to its full party potential."


Hermione, despite her better instincts, had decided to come to the party, even though she had a few inches left to write on a thematic essay she had to turn in the next day.
Her left arm was carrying some bags full of clothes and books she had bought, and her right hand held her wand, so she pushed the pub's door open with her back, and sat down at a table a few feet away from most of the party-goers.
Looking around, she noticed Harry, Draco and Gabrielle. She felt like she should go over and say something, anything. Maybe even just a small hi. But no. She couldn't, it would be too ackward, the way things were heading with her and Harry. Someone could have told her Harry had moved on and she wouldn't have been surprised. They just hadn't been talking, and it hadn't helped much after she kissed Draco, which added to her problems.
Which one of the two did she like? Or was she over them?
Despite being a brain, Hermione had no idea.

[Harry Potter]

Harry smiled at Brielle, looking up before looking over at the door. "Hermione..." he muttered before sighing, head going back down. His empty hand once more went to the nape of his neck, rubbing it slightly. He didn't look back over at the pretty girl, but kept his eyes on the table. After everything... Why didn't she come over?

[Draco Malfoy]

Draco, noticeing Harry's odd reaction, glanced towards the door. When he saw Hermione, he immediately adverted his gaze. He'd been gone for three months. Would she come over? Had she changed that much? He felt guilty for wanting her to come talk to him when she hadn't even talked to Harry once while he was gone. Wait, how'd he know that? "Harry...have you two talked, at all, since my disappearence?" He asked, softly, dreading the answer was yes.

[Harry Potter]

Harry looked up and shook his head. "No... I mean sure, said hi, I guess... But not like talk talk..." he shrugged, dropping his hand to the table. Cara had pointed out that he rubbed his neck a lot now, a bad habit, she called it. He smiled ruely to himself.

(Ah, it's supposed to be no at the end of my last post, not yes. XD)

As Draco recalled Harry's last words through the bond, he let out a sigh of relif. "Good." He sighed. ~No, Harry...My powers are fine. I...I just haven't used them. There's no point in telling Cara.~ He murmered. In truth, he didn't want Cara to know. She'd, most likely, try to make him start useing them, again.
