James walked to the entrance and kneeled down. He looked at the dirt and saw what he was looking for. A tiny braet for girls hair. He whistled and Hermione popped up.

"So you showed," he said to Hermione, "I was wondering if you were going to."

Hermione looked at him hands on her hips. "Now why would you think that?" she said.

James smiled at her. "Because. I can," he said, "So whats with this meeting? Am I in some kind of trouble." He teased her and she smiled.

"No," she said, "We just haven't had the time to talk. Come. Walk with me. Let's talk."

James nodded and followed her. He walked beside her and grinned at her. "Well what do you wanna know?" he asked.

Hermione replied, "Well you are one of my best friends. I just wanted to see how you are. We haven't seen each other for awhile or talked."

James grinned and said, "Well yea. And your one of mine. Well I have a girlfriend. Remember Millie?"

Hermione nodded and said, "Her? She's pretty. Thats great!" She hugged him and lead him under a tree where they could talk. "Well," she said, "I have a boyfriend." She grinned.

James looked at her and said, "Who?"

Hermione smiled and said, "Harry."

James laughed. "That's great Hermione," he excamiled.

She grinned looked out on the road. She shook James from his laughing and pointed. "Look!" she said, "Someone's coming!"

James stopped laughing and looked up. "I wonder who it is," he said.

James Potter trotted up the road, whistleing softly one of the tunes Lily had forbidden him from whistling. "Hello, Hermione." he beamed at her. "Hullo, James." he smirked at the boy. "Have I ever told you how much I like your name?" he asked with a grin.

Hermione smiled sweetly and replied, "Hello professor. What was that tune you were just whistling?"

James smiled and said, "Really? I never knew." He grinned at him.

James grinned. "Somthing that Lily told me not to whistle under her roof." he looked from one child to the other. He nodded fervently. "I love."

James grinned. Hermione looked at him. "If Lily said no," she said, "then you ought not to whistle it." She grinned at him.
