[Mitsu]

Blaze trembles at Teva's embrace. He forces the tears in his eyes to evaporate, and hugs her back, fairly awkwardly. "Thanks. I...I couldn't do anything. That was about the time I became introverted. Nowadays, I force myself to be outspoken. If...if we fight...i don't think that I would be able to do it. Before the incident, I would have exploded those things to bits with a blink of an eye. I...stopped using my active powers and only used passive ones, such as flying, mind-reading, that kind of stuff. What I showed today...is nothing how I used to be."

[Elven Maiden Lessien]

Teva kept the embrace for only a moment later, her arms feeling odd at the angle they were in. She let go, sitting back down in the rubble next to Blaze for support. "I'm sure I can't do anything nearly as powerful as you can, but I don't like using my powers, either...", she said quietly.

[Mitsu]

Blaze smiles. "i know. It's a problem with most shapeshifters. They're all afraid of getting stuck. It does happen, but not often." At that moment, Heat and Slasher pop up.
"Hey Little Bro! So, what were you saying about the 'rents?"

Blaze, surprised, can only stare. "Well, you see...the reason you two are so much more powerful than I am isn't because you HAVE more power...it's because I stopped using them, unless I had too. That's why I stopped progressing soon after our parents death."

Heat frowns. "What are you talking about?"

Blaze shakes his head, knowing this day would come sooner or later, and he was hoping later. "You see, it's like this..." Blaze begins to tell them the real story about their parents.

[Elven Maiden Lessien]

Teva nearly jumped out of her skin when Heat and Slasher appeared suddenly. They were too spastic and loud for the quiet girl, so naturally she wasn't extremely fond of them. She almost winced when the topic of Blaze's parents came up. As he started the story, Teva quietly went back to her melted desk, knowing that she didn't need to be a part of the emotional family moment.

[Mitsu]

Blaze watches as Teva walks away. He wishes she would stay, for support, but knows he has to do this. When he finishes the story, Slasher stands up. He turns away, and Blaze looks down, thinking that he would walk away and not come back. A flash of pain rages through his face as Slasher's fist connects with his face.

"YOU STUPID IDIOT!!! Why do you think we left you to your own devices? We knew what happened! Your thoughts were flying out left and right, and we couldn't help but see what happened." He lifts up Blaze's face. "We stepped back because we thought that you would get over it eventually. And we let you go about your business in training, knowing you weren't doing your best. Now, how about we start training, and get you up to the level you should be?"

Blaze looks at heat and slasher. "You sure?"

Heat smiles. "Of course. We just have to find a place to train. But that'll come later. Now, we have to decide who's going to lead the group."

[Switch]

Saizhe was just sitting on the ground, her mind running a bit rampant.

Great. We're trapped. If I leave, I'll be killed by demons. I came here with the understanding that I could leave if I wanted to. I'm a loner by nature...This doesn't work...

She looks at the beasts and then looks at the group of people. She calms down.

I couldn't leave them, anyway. What if they need me?

Saizhe sighs, stands up, and walks over to Blaze and his brothers right as Heat says his last statement.

[Mitsu]

Abbadon clears his throat. "Heat has a point. We need a leader to make the tough decisions. Who do you think it should be?"

[Switch]

Saizhe looks at Blaze. She thought about how he had taken the initiative to be friends with her and everyone else, and how it showed good leadership skills. She looks at Abbadon. "...I think that Blaze should be the leader."

[Mitsu]

"No." Blaze flat out disagrees. He thinks about how Saizhe made sure to be the first to help, and how smart she is. "I think it should be Saizhe."

Slasher takes the spotlight temporarily, like a true drama queen. "Well I think it should be--" Heat punches him.

He straightens up, then says, "Why not both of you? It'd work well...I think."

Blaze thinks, then shrugs. "Sure, why not?"

[Elven Maiden Lessien]

Teva broke out of her daydream, blinking rapidly as she tried to catch up with the conversation. It didn't take her long to figure out what the vote was about. Quietly, she walked over to the group, feeling a little left out. "I agree with Heat", she said with a little smile, "You'd both make great leaders."

[Switch]

Saizhe thinks about it. "Alright. That's a good idea." She's somewhat surprised that someone thought of her as a leader, but she feels glad.

[Mitsu]

"Well....any suggestions for what we do now?" Blaze inquires.

[Switch]

"Maybe we should get back to class. Train for the next attack?" Saizhe suggested.

[Elven Maiden Lessien]

"Sounds fine to me", Teva said. She scuffed her bare feet against the floor. "Don't know what good I'll be in a fight, but I need the practice anyway."

[Mitsu]

"Well," Blaze starts, "animals can fight well. They have claws and teeth and instincts for battle and prey." Blaze looks at the classroom. I guess we should start, huh? Got any ideas on what to start with?"
