Okay, so sue me, I have no life, get over it =P I wrote this one today, and I'll probably write the next one tomarrow, depends on how I'm feeling. This sotry's more of a plot opener, so if you're looknig for fetishal stuff, too bad =P But read it anyways. Well, enjoy.

“What are we gonna do…” Davis trailed off, leaning back in his stone seat. “I can’t believe he’s actually gone…” He continued.

“Yea…” Veemon replied. Tears welled up in his eyes as laid his head on the stone table.

Guilmon sat there across from the other two, a glazed over look in his eyes; their normal loving sparkle long gone. He hung his head low and stared at the candle situated in the middle of the table, the flame dancing hypnotically.

The three made it back to the Gotsumon village the night after, without opposition; but it didn’t make their trek there any easier. Multiple times they were struck with the cruel reality of Joseph’s death. They all sat around a small stone table in the village inn, thinking, contemplating, or just grieving. A small breeze came through the window; it was refreshing, but unable to lift anybody’s spirits.

“Heya folks, is there anything I can get you?” Lilly, the Barmaid asked, she held her notepad in hand and blinked curiously with her large pink eyes. “Hey, you all look so sad… What’s wrong? Where’s your other…Oh…” She looked into Guilmon’s face and realized what was wrong. “I’ll… go get you something to eat…” She said, walking away to the kitchen.

“I miss Joeymon…” Guilmon whined, tears streaming from his eyes again. he crossed his arms on the table and put his muzzle in them, crying.

“I know…” Davis said. “We all miss him…” Davis put an arm around Veemon who was starting to cry as well.

Guilmon sat up and attempted to cease his sobbing. He picked up Joseph’s Digivice which hung around Guilmon’s neck with a crude string. “Well… at least… I have something to remember him by…” He said, between his sobs. He turned it over in his claws, smelt it, and then gave it a small lick. “Ohhhh, it even tastes like Joeymon.” He whined again.

“Hey… wait a minute…” Veemon started, lifting his head and wiping away his tears. “I got it!” He yelled, jumping up and knocking the tray out of the hands of the approaching barmaid who let out a surprised cry and stumbled backwards. “Oh, sorry…” He rushed to help Lilly up and came back to the table.

“What was that all about Veemon?” Davis asked, confused.

“I have an idea!” Veemon said, happily. “Okay, we have his Digivice, right?” Veemon asked, somewhat excited.

“Yea…” Guilmon said, pulling it back up and placing it on the table.

“Well, a tamer’s Digivice retains the Tamer’s data, right?” Veemon asked, now standing on the table.

“Well… I guess… I don’t know; does it?” Davis looked even more confused and eyed Veemon curiously.

“What are you getting at Veemon?” Guilmon asked, tilted his head to the side slightly.

“Well…” Veemon continued. “You see, when a human enters the Digital world, their physical body has to be converted to data, right? So what converts that data?” Veemon asked.

“Uh… I would say the computer, right?” Davis replied.

“No Davis! Not the computer! The Digivice! So if the Digivice converts the data, it must save it for when the human goes back and forth to the Digital world.” Veemon looked to Davis with a smile. “You know what that means…” Davis thought for a moment and pondered the idea.

“Okay, so we have Joseph’s data from when he was last alive, but how does that help? We don’t have the ability to access it, let alone “re-download” Joseph!” Davis banged his fists on the table, annoyed.

“Wait…” Guilmon started. He brought his head up and smiled slightly, the sparkle somewhat returning to his eyes. “We might not be able to do that, but the Sovereign can!”

“AZULONGMON!” The three shouted in unison.

“Ha-ha!” Ken thought to himself. “I’ve killed one of those blasted tamers, now all that’s left are Davis and his little friends!” he made his way to a large steel door, which slid open as he approached. The adjoining room was 10 holding cells; super-reinforced with layers of Digizoid metal to hinder any escape. Instead of simple Jail bars, the cells were closed off by door of transparent energy.

Ken walked further into the room and looked into the cells. “Well, well, well… Look what we have here!” Ken said with a chuckle. “Looks like my minions aren’t as useless as I thought!”

“Put a sock in it you freak!” Yolei’s voice came yelling back, she started pounding on the glowing shield for hopes of breaking it, but failed.

“Ha-ha! You’ll see it’s quite impossible to break through those doors. They halt any form of data trying to pass through them.” He continued to walk around the room and look into all the other cells. The other four cells contained Cody, Mimi, Kari, and TK; the cells across from then held Hawkmon, Armadillomon, Gatomon, and Patamon.
“Excellent!” Ken yelled. “Looks like we have enough to start the party!”

“What are you going on about?” Cody yelled through his door.

“Oh, you’ll see! BlackGuilmon, come in here if you please.” Ken said with a slight a grin on his face. BlackGuilmon entered and peered around the room with his piercing red eyes.

“Yea? What’s up?” BlackGuilmon asked with a yawn, showing off his razor sharp teeth.

“Convert these Digimon, one by one. I want them as my slaves.” Ken said, started to laugh his annoying, nasally, laugh.

“NO!” TK yelled. “You can’t! Please, Patamon’s my friend!” TK started to beat on the energy shield but was unsuccessful.

“Hmmm… I see, well, I guess we know who to start with! Black Guilmon, start with the little winged rat.” Ken folded his arms and grinned, staring a teary TK in the eyes.

“As you wish…” BlackGuilmon replied, slowly making his way to the cell containing Patamon.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

“So… do you two want to just share a room tonight?” Davis asked Veemon and Guilmon. They both looked at each other and shrugged.

“Well, it’s better then sleeping at this table” Guilmon said, in a noticeably better mood.

“Yea.” Veemon replied. “I don’t mind either.” Veemon laid back in his seat and put his arms behind his head.

“Alright, I’ll go pay then.” Davis went to pay for the room, and motioned for the others to follow him the stairs.

“So…Who get the bed?” Guilmon asked. The three looked at each other and groaned.

“I know!” Veemon said. “How bout you and I play rocks, papers, scissors, and whoever wins gets the bed.”

“I don’t know…” Guilmon put his claw to his chin and thought “I guess so…”

“Stupid lack of opposable fingers…” Guilmon mumbled five minutes later, after the game ended. Davis and Veemon crawled into bed snickering. “I hope I can get Joey back…” Guilmon thought. “He woulda broke Davis’ fingers if he had to…” Guilmon cried silently and went to sleep.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

“Can I kill the humans now?” BlackGuilmon asked, tilting his head to the side slightly and looking as innocent as possible.

“Aww, well look at you, you’re so evil and so cute!” Ken let out a chuckle and patted BlackGuilmon on the head. “Of course you can!

“Yay!” BlackGuilmon shouted as he jumped up and down. “Who to start with first…” BlackGuilmon started to glow that telltale grayish color as he began to grow to the height of BlackGrowlmon. Once the transformation was complete, he let out a roar and flicked his tail anxiously. “Oh, I know, I AM a bit hungry, how bout a little appetizer?” He looked to Cody and gave an evil grin.

“Whatever you feel is needed.” Ken said with a smirk. “Just wait till I leave, okay? I don’t want blood on my uniform, I just had it dry-cleaned.” Ken walked out and made his way back to the control room where his little meeting with Joseph and the other’s took place. The room wasn’t barren this time around; various Digimon sat in the seats in front of the computers. Ken looked to that corner of the room and saw the mangled body still lying there.

“What’s wrong with all of you?!” He yelled. “Nobody could have cleaned this mess up?! C’mon!” Ken walked over to the body and examined it. “Actually, hmmmm…Never mind.” He said, rubbing his chin. “Someone bring this body up to my experimentation lab and put him on an operating table, I have plans for him…” Ken grinned and rubbed his hands together with joy.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Guilmon was the first to wake up that morning; he let out a yawn, displaying his bleach white teeth. He had a horrible dream that woke him in the middle of the night. He was in a black room, and in a spotlight not far from where he was standing, stood Joseph, but he looked different. He didn’t have his normally cheerful smile (which he mostly wore when he wasn’t near Davis), but a twisted grin. He wore a black leather trench coat, and from behind it stared a pair of glowing red eyes. The next thing he knew he woke up with a start and began to cry. The dream scared him more then anything. Guilmon got to his feet and stretched. He looked over to Davis and Veemon, still sleeping. He groaned. “If Joey was here…” he thought. “Then I could wake him up and we could play…”

Guilmon looked down at his feet and wiggled his toes. His white claws were somewhat caked with dirt and grime from walking around for a while. Come to think of it, he didn’t have any time to wash up. “Well, if Joey liked it…” Guilmon sat back down and stuck his toe claw in his mouth, sucking on it. He moved his tongue around and cleaned it so it shone. “Ewwww…” he groaned making a slightly disgusted face. “How could Joeymon like that?” Guilmon did the same with the other foot so they looked nicer, and decided he was going to wake up Davis and Veemon. How, however, he didn’t know.

“Well, again, if Joey liked it…” Guilmon jumped on top of the bed and pinned Davis to the sheets. “Wake up Davymon!” He said, cheerily. Davis cried out in surprise and fell off the bed, dragging Guilmon with him.

“Guilmon?! What the hell?!” Davis yelled, pinned under the heavy Digimon.

“Sorry…” Guilmon said. “I just wanted to wake you up… Joey used to like it so I thought I’d try it on you. It wasn’t as much fun.” Guilmon let out a discouraged groan. “I miss Joeymon…” he muttered.

“It’s okay Guilmon.” Davis said, putting a hand to Guilmon head. “We’ll get him back, I promise. First, you’re gonna have to get off of me…”

“Oh! Sorry!” Guilmon pulled himself off of Davis and helped him up. “So, where are we going?” He asked. “We have to find Azulongmon, right?”

“Right!” Veemon said, jumping on Davis’ shoulders. “I don’t know where to go though…”

“Hey!” Davis said. “Maybe the village elder here knows! He seems wise. What was his name again? Pablo?”

“No…” Veemon groaned. “It was padme!”

“I don’t think so…” Guilmon said “Wasn’t it Piedra?” Guilmon tilted his head to the side as he asked the question.

“Sure, we’ll go with that I guess…” Davis said. He let out a yawn and groaned. “Well, let’s get outta here then.” The three left the inn and walked outside. It was a beautiful day, some small, light clouds in the sky. They floated listlessly on the breeze. The air was warm, thanks to the brightly burning sun above them. It made for perfect traveling weather. The three made it to the residence of Piedra and knocked on the door. There was a slight creaking noise as it opened, and Piedra stepped out.

“How can I help you folks today?” he asked in a gravelly and old voice.

“We wish to ask you a couple of questions, sir.” Davis stated.

“Ah ha, I see, please, come in…” Piedra answered, as he led them into the house. It was small, but cozy. The sun shone brightly through the sun roof, and made a visible beam of light, thanks to the large amount of dust particles. In the left back corner of the room was a small stove, and above it on the wall was a bundle of hanging vegetables, drying out. In back right corner stood a bed, a simple, plain, bed with plain grey sheets. The middle of the room was adorned with a table over a decorative rug. The center of the table dipped down for a fire pit, which crackled and popped quietly. They all sat around the table and stared into the flame.

“So, my friends, what question do you wish to ask of me?” Piedra asked, his deep green eyes staring into the flames.

“Well…” Davis started” Our friend, Joseph, was, well, killed a couple of days ago…” Guilmon whimpered at Davis’ comment and groaned. “We thought of a way to bring him back, but we need to find the Sovereign Azulongmon…”

“Azulongmon you say?” Piedra put his hand to his chin, the sound of rocks grinding could be heard. “I believe I know where to find him…” Piedra reached down into a small satchel and pulled out a handful of some odd dust, which he threw into the flames. The flames grew immensely and formed to the shape of a long dragon. “Yes… Azulongmon. He can be found in the Sky Palace.”

“I think this is where Joeymon would have said something about this being cliché…” Guilmon muttered.

“Yea, that sounds like Joseph alright.” Davis replied, laughing slightly. “So, Piedra; where might we find this “Sky Palace”?”

“The palace can be found in the clouds, high above the Northern Mountains.” Piedra replied, taking his gaze away from the fire.

“Awww, the Northern Mountains? But it’s cold there…” Veemon let out a groan. “And it’s so far away.”

“Thank you Piedra.” Davis said as he rose from the table. “We are very grateful for this information.”

“Yea, very!” Guilmon said cheerily. “I’m gonna get my Joeymon back!” Guilmon cried happily and jumped up and down, his eyes tearing up.

“Hehe, yep!” Veemon replied, as he jumped back on to Davis’ shoulders. “Just calm down okay? Save your energy.”
“Okie-dokie!” Guilmon said, settling back down on the ground. They said their goodbyes and started on their way to the Northern Mountains.
