.Gods.
These are the supreme beings of the world. Perfectly immortal, with only others of their kind being their weakness. However, there have been cases in which Gods have been slain by lower species, but upon such an event, the God or Goddess is reborn shortly after—a few months to a few years later. They each hold their own special power which can be used to influence lesser beings, but only to an extent. Gods and Goddesses can only influence lesser beings if they are already being affected by a certain emotion, event, or current condition. Some, cannot control lesser beings at all, but weather conditions or natural disasters. It all depends on the type of God or Goddess. On top of this, Gods and Goddesses can take any form they wish—within bounds. Animals associated with their power, a male form, and a female form. Yes, they are androgynous, meaning they have no set gender and can switch between them at will. However, their features are still similar between the two forms and cannot take the form of another being. Although many Gods and Goddesses set up relationships with each other, monogamy is not very common in their world. Because the Gods and Goddesses do not want to give away their powers willy-nilly, they hide themselves amongst the mortals of earth even going so far as to change their names in order to hide themselves. Only those that try their hardest to seek out the Gods and Goddesses are granted their powers.

-Zeus-
The king of the gods, the ruler of Mount Olympus and the god of the sky, weather, thunder, lightning, law, order, and fate. He was depicted as a regal, mature man with a sturdy figure and dark beard. His usual attributes are the royal scepter and the lightning bolt, and his sacred animals are the eagle and the bull.

He is a greedy god who is greatly concerned with increasing his subjects. Those whose calling increase the number of dead are seen favorably. He is also the god of wealth, due to the precious metals mined from the earth. He has a helmet that makes him invisable. He rarely leaves the underworld. He is unpitying and terrible, but not capricious

-Poseidon-
The god of the sea, rivers, floods, droughts, earthquakes, and the creator of horses; known as the "Earth Shaker". He controls the currents of the ocean as well as sea life. He is brother to Zeus and Hades. He is depicted as a mature man of sturdy build with a dark beard, and holding a trident. The horse and the dolphin are sacred to him.

-Aphrodite-
Commonly known as the goddess of love, but also known to be the goddess of beauty and desire. Having many lovers, this goddess finds no need to commit to any one other being—though not many remain loyal to just one partner anyway. To gain the blessing of this goddess, one must bring one of several items to become the blessed or lucky item: rose, scallop shell, or myrtle wreath. The most common form of this goddess is the white dove though there are variations.

-Apollo-
Usually the god of health and the arts, this god is one that many should choose not to trifle with. With the ability to cause and spread disease, many fear this god but also respect him as well, because with the ability to make the disease, he can cure it too and even give lesser beings an immunity. Many that wish to become performers or excel in the arts come to this god to gain his blessing in music, art, poetry and even archery—though not commonly thought of as an ‘art’. To gain such a blessing, one must bring one of the items this god finds sacred to be blessed: laurel wreath, bow and quiver, raven, or a lyre(Greek Harp). Forms this god commonly takes are that of a dolphin, roe deer, raven, crow, hawk, swan or a snake, of course, there are variations of each.

-Aries-
This god is known for manly courage in all shapes and forms. These include war, bloodlust, violence, and civil order and he can make or break any of these things. Many come to gain some sort of courage from this god by obtaining his blessing in their armor, shields, and swords. However, should he ever be crossed, he has the power to take back his blessing and even reverse them completely—even so far as to make an entire country fall into ruin from war and chaos. This god commonly takes the form of a vulture, alligator, poisonous snake, or a dog of any variation within reason.

-Artemis-
Twin sister to -Apollo-, this goddess deals with wildlife, womanhood, and plague. She watches over animals and the plants of the world and is often sought for blessings in hunts. She chose to protect women through their hardships such as becoming a woman and childbirth. In able to gain her blessing, one must visit the shrine with hunting utensils, animal pelts, or with a woman who looks to be blessed in either becoming a woman or luck in childbirth. Alternate forms this goddess takes include deer and bears of any kind.

-Athena-
The goddess of wisdom, warfare, heroic endeavor, handicrafts and reason, many come to her to gain the best of battle strategies or learn how to better plan their own. Others who have a clouded judgment seek this goddess out to help come to terms with inner turmoil or get advice on the best decision for any problem they may suffer. Those looking to gain her blessing must bring their armor, scrolls, or any part of an olive tree. She is commonly seen in the form of an owl.

-Demeter-
Demeter is the godess of corn, grain, and the harvest. It is Demeter that makes the crops grow each year. The first loaf of bread from the harvest is scarificed to her. Demeter is the goddess of the earth, of agriculture, and of fertility in general. Sacred to her are livestock and agricultural products, poppy, narcissus and the crane.

-Dionysus-
He is the god of fertility and wine, later considered a patron of the arts. He invented wine and spread the art of tending grapes. He has a dual nature. On the one hand bringing joy and devine ecstasy. On the other brutal, unthinking, rage. Thus, reflecting both sides of wines nature. If he choses Dionysus can drive a man mad. No normal fetters can hold him or his followers.

-Eos-
He is the god of the dawn. Eos is responsible for the rising of the sun each morning and putting the dew in place on each blade of grass. It is also he who paints the sky yellows and oranges with the coming of the sun. Those who prefer to sleep in silently curse this god for the early times at which the sun rises, though, morning people find him to be just fine at what he does.

-Nemesis-
Nemesis means righteous anger, due enactment, or divine vengeance. This god helped to avenge those who were wronged. One must simply ask Nemesis for his help and it shall be granted as this god would never miss the chance to put his skills to work.

-Thanatos-
Thanatosos was the greek god of death. He may be thought of as a personification of death. Often times, he is mistaken for the god of the underworld -Hades- but is in fact the one that oversees all death, not the souls in the afterlife. Often times he can be found working with -Nemesis- and urging him to go too far to where he can step in and claim a life.

DAN WANTS NEMESIS


The day was starting off horrible. Thunder and rain ruled the skies and lightning shot across it. There was no light in the morning just a dull gray filling the void where the sun used to be. Everything being drenched by a near impassible amount of water. No one was out, not even the dedicated warriors who swore to train in what ever condition. The small town of King's point was like a ghost town.

Though there were people still plotting inside their homes on what they would do for the day if it cleared and some were even plotting of murder. A small group of individuals no more then four had raided a small house. Kidnapping a young mother and daughter to be sold into slavery. Nearly killing the husband and father who tried to protect them. Calling for help the rain canceled out his voice he was going to die like a animal.

A young looking man by the name of Nemesis, standing nearly six foot five and no more then two hundred pounds of muscle. Walked through this rain. His leather trench coat soaked as his foot prints pressed into the mud. Walking past the small house his heightened senses heard the sounds of a desperate call. Walking in the rain and water filling the entrance of the house he saw the man laying down covering his wounds. He spoke,

Sir, I don't know if you can help me... Coughing up a blood Please if you can, Kill the people who stole my wife and daughter from me. They left about thirty minutes ago... More blooding pouring from his mouth his face and arms turning a white color. Lastly mister...if they soiled my wife or daughter then please remove them as well. I don't want them to be known as cattle.

Nemesis looked at the man and nodded and respond in a deep tone What they did is wrong...I'll be the sword the slays your enemies. I will give your vengeance to your enemies and save your family if possible. The tall man crouched by the man and saw he had died before he even began to talk. Closing the man's eyes he nodded he would fulfill the dead man's wishes.

Walking outside into the rain again he noticed a second set of tracks behind the home and off into the woods. Following them his speed gaining as he moved with the tracks. He was like a wolf going after a hurt deer. His red eyes pierced the gray and darkness of the trees as his speed increased even more. Soon after tracking for a twenty minutes he found a small group. His eyes caught what they were doing.

The cries of the mother trying to protect her daughter and vice-versa. Both with two men on them. Both soiled by the monsters. He spoke softly as he jumped down into the camp. Startling all six people. The men fixed their pants as they began to cuss and yell. Nemesis towered over the group and watched their eyes. Untying a small cord from his neck his trench coat fell to the grass.

He had black hair with a sleeveless set of red body armor. Black armored trousers and a large two unique hatchets latched into secure places on his back. He placed both hands drawing his weapons the men do as well. [color=red]I've come to fulfill a dead man's quest for vengeance. Everyone will die here today. The hatchets had a small wooden handle and a metal rod going to a sharp blade. The balance of the weapons were incredible even a child couldn't miss a target. The difference being no mortal could hold the weapons as the weight would be to great.

The rain fell silently off the steel blades as the first man rushed in a quick slash and his head rolled clean of his shoulders. The blood mixing into the mud and rain. Another tried to get the upper hand and found the blade stuck between his eyes his body fell down a large cut mark inside his head. The other two saw this and began to run away both found the blades dug into their backs as the fell down. A feature of the weapons was that on command they would return to Nemesis's hands which they did.

All that was left was the mother and child who at this point had been drugged and raped by the men. He walked to mother and said Your husband sent me to save. He spat in his face and laughed.

All i care about is pleasure so does my child...you Animal...unless you want some too. with a seductive tone, spreading her legs for the man.

I'm sorry I have to do this. And took the blunt edge of the hatchet and tapped her on the head letting her life leave this worlds followed by the daughter. He wrapped their bodies up in clothes and retrieved his trench coat. Carrying them back to the small house. It was custom to bury the family of the house in the back yard in this particular town and Nemesis followed customs.

He blessed the bodies of the deceased and buried the bodies like customs. Leaving a small stone marker for each. He didn't know the names of the family, He left it blank as he walked away. The rain continuing to pour. Nemesis began to walk towards the exit of the town when he was stopped by a older man.

Sir...can it be...your the god Nemesis am i right. Please tell me that I'm right. I've heard the gods on occasions visit this world. The old man questioned as he looked at the tall man. His only reply was,

Yes. And walked on the old man had a grin on his face as he knew the stories he had been told about were true. That gods do exist in this world and that they have come back to help the cleanse the world once more.

A deer with a solid white coat, that looked like moonlight had been spotted in the forest recently. Artemis was ever careful and only let few see her but she let people know she was there watching the forest. She was a protector of the forest, of all wildlife so protect she did. Only those she deemed worthy were aloud to hunt in her woods. They knew these were her woods for deep in the woods there was a legend of a shrine built long ago dedicated to her. Very few were ever brave enough to even look for the shrine and fewer had found it but they all believed the stories and were wary of their goddess.

A young woman came running to the forest seeking refuge knowing the stories and seeking refuge of the goddess. Artemis gave the woman refuge because it was obvious to anyone with eyes the woman was with child, what kind of goddess would she be if she left her to die. Artemis disguised herself as an elderly woman living in the forest and took the young mother in. After a few weeks the woman finally went into labor and Artemis helped birth the child. The baby was a healthy boy with bright green eyes and brown hair just like his mother. After the woman was healthy Artemis asked the woman why she sought refuge. "The father of my child was killed... and my father tried to remarry me to the highest bidder so that my baby wouldn't be without a father but I couldn't do that..." she said and cried. Artemis gently put her hand on the woman's shoulder. "Child you must go back... I know it's not what you want but it's best for you and the baby... you don't have to remarry but the baby does need a male figure in his life... and your father seems like some one who could understand that and would step in..." She said gently. After the woman was healed Artemis sent her and the baby on their way neither of them knowing who she was.

Months later after the woman left the people of a nearby village began over hunting in her forest. Artemis grew angry at the village. She decided to teach the village a lesson. Everytime some one hunted more than was needed she would cause them to get poison sumac. For those who don't know what it is, think of poison ivy but about 10x worse. It would cause these ichy sores and everytime you scratched it would pop them and cause them to spread eventually causing it to cover your entire body if not treated. It of course wouldn't kill anyone but it would get the message across that the goddess was not to be trifled with.

I would like to claim Apollo.

Soaring ahead in a lowering circle above the bodies of three slain young adults and two females, the Raven that had been eyeing the bodies for quite a time in the air finally decided to hover down and land atop the face of each adult one at a time. The Raven opened the mouth of each adult and spewed disease into their mouth from his. As dark dirty fog entered into the bodies and quickly decomposed them into the land, The Raven flew over to a nearby tree branch and morphed.

Appearing where nobody would see him, Apollo laid in that tree branch playing a special skeletal themes lyre to summon Thanatos with the sound of a soft but eerie tune. It was not really his duty to guide Thanatos to the souls he must guide, but Apollo was always the God to help out and Thanatos occasionally saw the kindness in the small things as Apollo did, and would often reward him with access to damned soul.

Thanatos being later than usual, Apollo morphed with his lyre to become the Raven again and fly not that far away to see in a nearby town, that a woman was having her groceries and purse taken from her by a perverted cop of the law. Flying down and immediately morphing again, Apollo shone down a light from the heavens onto the Woman as she did the cross prayer believing this angel was here to help her.

Normally Apollo wouldn't have done anything but scare the cop off in the image of that he was a protector from evil to mortals, but the prayer was a sign of faith that was a significant way to show beauty in the soul of someone in the eyes of Apollo. The cop starting to run off from the fear of being caught by a onlooker, he kept the groceries and fled from the woman as she fell to her knees starting to cry.

Apollo looking to her tears with calm expression, he suddenly and fiercly glanced to the cop and whistled through his lips slightly, sending the small breath of air down to the cop and echoing in his ears to cause massive annoyance for the mortal. Dropping the groceries to cover his ears to try and stop the noise proved more deadly than helpful, as the whistle had continued to grow louder and couldn't escape through the hands, his brain started squirting and popping blood in his skull while the cop fell to his knees as well and started crying as the woman.

Just as the crying picked up, so did the tune in the cop's head as he finally took out his gun and blew his own brains out to prevent it getting any louder. Brains flew across the street and onto a car across the street as the cop fell to the streets gravel and the bullet flew up into Apollo's hand with a slight catch. Leaping down to the alley to touch the crying Woman's face, she soon calmed and fell asleep to forget about what had just happened. When she woke up, she was laying on her couch with the same bullet in her hand, the bullet came with the carving of a musical note with angel wings on it.
