Brutus glanced over at Diego, a little confused as to why he wasn't drinking his milk. "Just.. put your face near it.. You'll know what do to." You couldn't teach anyone to drink something, they figured it out through instinct, just like every other bodily function.

Diego blinked a few times.. Put his face near it? He scootched a little closer looking down at it.. Right.. He put his face closer and sniffed, his ears pricked forward, moving to lick his lips but instead lapped it, and blinked.. Ohhh.. he was soon lapping away, his eyes closing.

Once Diego had the hang of drinking, Brutus turned back to the plate of foot, eating his fill. He sat back, licking a paw and drawing it over his face and repeating the gesture. He looked over to Diego once he was done. "Are you done? Or do you want to try some of this, too?"

Diego hadn't stopped until the bowl was pretty much empty he licked it up best as he could, his little tummy could hold much more than what was in the bowl.. Of course he was a growing kitten.. He looked over at Brutus and blinked a few times.. "You sure he asked softly.. He knew his momma said at one time he wasn't big enough for her foods yet.

Brutus looked to the plate and gave a nod. "Yea, it's all soft food, it should be alright." Besides, if Diego threw up, Brutus would make a racket and get him some more milk. Something was better than nothing.

Diego shrugged, deciding to trust the older cant and slowly moved over sniffing at it.. it didn't smell anything like what he was use to.. Was Brutus sure it was food?

Brutus ran his paw over his face again, cleaning himself thoroughly. He was a stickler about hygiene, more so than most cats. He looked to Diego, blinking a few times. "Not hungry, I take it?"

Diego blinked, "I never had it before" he answered instead, but he moved taking a piece and blinks, it wasn't drinkable like the milk he was use to.. He blinked a few times as he shook his head some pulling against it, attempting to chew on it.
