Rei returned to the castle after being gone for along time. Some of the younger guards tried to stop her which only got them a large knock on the head, and a telling off by the older guard that had recognized her. "Ignorant pups." she muttered under her breath as she walked into the castle. Sniffing faintly, her nose twitched at the different scents and such she didn't recognize. This caused a little growl to pass her lips. She didn't like coming into something she didn't know.

Sesshomaru was informed of a visitor, and curious, he made his way to meet this visitor... Spotting the stranger, he stated softly, "Hello... May I.. help you?" he questioned softly at the end.

Her nose twitched again but this time it brought a familiar scent to her. Someone she considered faintly. The question though he asked caused an elegant eyebrow to be raised. " I know I haven't been gone that long pup." she said evenly eyeing him still.

Pup? Who was she calling a pup? He frowned a bit watching her, "And... Do I know you?" he asked bluntly.

Rei's frowned matched the dog lords as she heard his question. " I raised you after your father's passing."

Sesshomaru blinked a few times, surprised.. "you did?"

Rei nodded faintly watching his expressions. Something she wasn't used to on the Sesshomaru she knew. " Yes you and your troublesome half brother."

Sesshomaru was surprised. "Half brother?" if he had a half brother.. Why had he never seen him?

" Mhm." she said calmly.

"I don't remember any of it" he stated softly, honestly.

Rei frowned more, not liking anything. "So are you trying to tell me you lost your memory?"

Sesshomaru gave a nod, "I suppose so" he stated softly, watching her for a few moments.. "I don't remember anything from before my mate found me."

She stared at him with an elegant eyebrow raised. " Mate?"

Sesshomaru blinked a few times.. "yes Mate?" he questioned.. Was that a foriegn word here or something?

" Last time I had seen you you were about to be married Sesshomaru"

Sesshomaru blinked a few times surprised.. "Married? To who?" he asked.

" It doesn't matter I can tell she's not around anymore, I don't catch her scent anywhere."

Sesshomaru blinked a few times... He had been going to get married? He sighed softly looking away... Well, at least she was gone he guessed... Since he had a mate now..
