Chapter 5 - Teams

“Riah!” Georg called as the book slammed onto Sendo’s head.

Ri stood up “Listing-sama.”

“Pick a teammate, you’re sparring today.” he smirked as a shiver of excitement ran through the room, Ri’s face exploded into a look of anticipation.

“Tokio-chan, of course.” Ri said happily, and Tokio stood up next to Ri, looking confused.

“Sounds fun.” she said anyway, her smile identical to Ri’s as they followed Georg through the door that was in front of the class.

Through this door was a large, outdoor stadium. At the far end were shadows of six people, waling towards them. They met in the center of the stadium.

“Heeey!” Tom’s head poked out from the back of the group that had met Tokio, Ri and Georg. “It’s Miss Tokio!”

Ri blushed as Tom literally skipped over to her, and Tokio, Bill right behind him, but walking, hand in his trench coat’s pocket.

“Seems my lovely cousins want to help out the little people, eh?” a girl with short black hair and two separate colored eyes said, laughing. “So that leaves Gusti-kun, Kikyo-chan, and Al -san on my team.” she sounded like she owned them, but Tokio could tell that the girl didn’t mean it that way. The girl pointed to each person as she spoke their name.

The one she called Gusti, funny name it must only be a pet name or something, had curly blonde hair, it was pretty short but long enough to stick out from under his baseball cap. (Rette Mich Gustav to all who know <3) The only girl she pointed to, Kikyo, had short short black hair, longer than the girl who spoke, with crimson highlights. Finally, was Allen, Tokio knew him already with his short spiky hair.

“Kikyo-chan is new, like her.” she pointed to Tokio now. “So it’ll be even, right?”

Georg nodded. “Team one is as follows
Riah Kawasaki
Ren Yuzuki
Bill Kaulitz
Tom Kaulitz.” a pause as thunder rumble through the arena. “Team two will be as follows.
Yami Kaulitz
Kikyo Smith
Gustav Schafer
Allen Skeffinton.” he finished as Tokio’s class filled up one side of the stadium, and Bill’s the other.

“Let’s split into twos.” Bill said, putting her arm around Tokio’s shoulders, Tom mimicked him, putting his arm around Ri’s shoulders, both girls blushed.

“Alright.” Georg’s voice boomed from the stands as he had joined the students and silence came, not even the rain made a sound. “The rules are basic, and are as follows. No intent to kill, and Suki Searcher and myself are the judges, we will announce the start of the match, the end, and the winners.” he then started silently talking to Suki, and sound came back, the rain falling even harder and lightning struck the far left corner of the stadium, and thunder shook Tokio. Ri’s hands crackled with electricity while the rain around Tokio moved strangely.

Tom shoved a headset onto Tokio’s head, bringing her out of the trance the rain had put her in. “We can communicate this way. Though Bill will always be with in speaking distance of you, as I will be to Riah.” he informed, adjusting the mic on Tokio’s pure black headset.

“It’ll start soon.” Bill’s voice came from both the earpiece and right next to Tokio. “This ‘war.’”

“War?” Tokio looked nervous.
“Don’t worry To-chan.” Ri’s voice came. “it’s just what we call these spars.”
“Miss Tokio sounds nervous.” Tom’s voice joked, and he chuckled. “Don’t be, though. You have Bill on your side. No worries.”

Tokio made a face that was barely visible to Tom, who was walking backwards, Ri following him, to the left side of the stadium. She must be in heaven, her face was so pink.
Tokio then glanced over to the other team. Yami was talking to Kikyo, the only other girl on their team. She said Bill and Tom were her cousins, didn’t she? And Georg said her last name was Kaulitz…

“Ja, Yami is our cousin.” Bill said, as though he had been reading her mind, Tokio looked up at him, his eyes staring into hers. “We all call her Rain though.” he looked over to his cousin who was now pushing Kikyo to Allen, they must be a team.

“Five minutes.” Tom’s voice came over the headset. “Get ready, and don’t freak out, little brother.” he laughed and Bill made an annoyed face.
“You know I won’t.” Bill rolled his eyes.

As Tom said, five minutes later Georg’s voice boomed through the stadium once again. “Teams Ready…” a pause. A Flash of lightning follow by a wave of vibration and crash of thunder. “Fight.”
