Almárëa stood in the garden, underneath a tree, out of sight. She watched the fair Thealtuwen sitting on a bench, gazing nowhere, singing out of joy. Almárëa loved watching anyone who stepped into the garden, seeing how they acted, watching their actions once they entered the beautiful world of Elrond's garden. Almárëa had been designated the guardian and caretaker of Elrond's garden. He loved the way she treated the plants, and took care of them like they were her own. And yet, she felt like there was something missing from her life. Perhaps it was her quiet nature, and the way she never spoke unless absolutely necessary. But now, it didn't matter. Almárëa was here now, and she was content to simply watch others. She stepped back and turned to go, but just then, her left foot crushed a stick. She ducked down, to quickly grab the stick. She knew that Thealtuwen had been alerted to her presence. Why is this here? she thought. I never leave these branches on the ground. Then she didn't move, afraid that the visitor would hear her again.

Thealtuwen glanced at Almárëa, who seemed to fuss with the dress she wore. "You look fine." Thealtuwen said gently touching Almárëa's arm. Almárëa looked up. Thealtuwen drew away her hand. "If you are worried about your gown, you are welcome to borrow one of mine." Thealtuwen said with a smile. She lightly picked up the hem of her dress as they ascended a high flight of stairs towards one of the many extravagant buildings in Rivendell. Soon they were walking down an open bridge over a flowing river. Somewhere in the forest a bird serenaded another. Thealtuwen entered an open, sunbathed room. Thealtuwen sighed happily as she surveyed the view of Rivendell. She turned to look at Almárëa to see she had not been lost. Seeing that Almárëa stood in the doorway, surveying the beautiful room, Thealtuwen bent down to unlatch an artistically carved trunk at the foot of her bed. Carefully rummaging through the trunk's contents, she soon pulled out a beautiful, pastel spring green dress. "Here, you may where this." Thealtuwen said, laying the gown gently on her bed. Almárëa approached her bed and touched the gown. Thealtuwen smiled and turned towards her balchoney, stepping out into the breeze, allowing Almárëa to dress in privacy.

Thealtuwen smiled as she caught a glimpse of Almárëa dancing happily in her room. Turning towards the view, turning again towards her room as Almárëa thanked her. Thealtuwen smiled warmly and bowed her head lightly. "It was no problem, mellon nin." She said. Thealtuwen then lead Almárëa down another long flight of stone steps towards the stables. There, a pure white mare was there awaiting her. The animal whinnied and nodded its head in happiness to see Thealtuwen. "Calm now, Celenil." She said in a whisper. Turning towards Almárëa, who had once again held back, she searched the stables. Finally she found a dapple grey stallion in his stall. Thealtuwen unlatched the gate and let the young horse prance around the stables for a short while, allowing him to stretch his legs. "This is Vanaur. He is one of my favorites. He shall serve your purpose." Thealtuwen said, leading fiery stallion towards Almárëa. Almárëa stretched out a hand and touched the velvety nose of Vanaur. The stallion closed his eyes in content. "I see he already has a liking to you." Thealtuwen said with a laugh. Returning to Celenil's stall, she unlatched her gate and then mounted Celenil's back. "Come. Follow me." Thealtuwen said serenly as she cantered out of the stables towards the bridge that lead away from Rivendell.I kind of used the same name of her horse as the one in the RP of Pelennor Fields, but oh well

Thealtuwen sat high on Celenil's back and slowed her canter to a walk. Turning, she saw Almárëa, biting her lip and trying to catch up. She was a little wobbly. Thealtuwen suppressed a small laugh, thinking it would be rude. "Are you having trouble, mellon nin?" Thealtuwen asked with a smile. Almárëa looked up a shook her head 'no'. Thealtuwen thought it quite strange that an elf had never learned to ride a horse, but nonetheless Thealtuwen knew she had to teach her. Turning Celenil round, she headed towards Vanaur. "Here. Place one hand on his mane, and on on his neck. Keep your head high and your back straight. Control his speed with your voice commands, make sure to keep them gentle and feet control. The faster the speed, the more you lean forward." Thealtuwen explained, adjusting Almárëa's posture and placement of her hands. "If you are steady and calm, Vanaur will respond to that and mimick your feelings. Come. I shall ride beside you at a walk." Thealtuwen said, continuing on their way.
