Plot

For centuries upon centuries, the land of Kalayra has been a haven for its inhabitants. The five Tribes, each for a different element, coexisted relatively peacefully. Fire, Water, Earth, Ice, and Wind, the ancestors, all were involved in the running of their territory. The Fire Tribe was usually starting trouble every few rotations (years) or so, but Earth and Water kept them in their place, with Ice brooding on their own, allying and warring with none. But then came Dajir. A renegade from a foreign land, he killed the Fire Alpha and took over their lands, proclaiming himself king. His followers have come, as well, and are making Fire the largest Tribe in the lands. And the most dangerous. Their intent--to rule all of Kalayra--has influenced others to join them. And now Ryana, Alphess of the Ice, has fallen for Dajir's cause: and the Ice Tribe is backing her. Now it is Fire and Ice against Earth and Water, with Wind looking on helplessly. Shall East and West restore things to what they once were? Or will North and South turn the world upside down, and destroy the others in the process? Only Time will tell.

Lava Beds
A great valley of gray stone and red lava. Some openings in the earth's crust have allowed the molten rock to bubble up to the surface, creating the orangey-red beds of boiling lava at the entrance to Fire Tribe land. The rock surrounding the lava is a dark gray, mottled with other hues, and in some places splattered with bright red, where wolves slammed themselves against the rocks to avoid a sudden pool of lava. And then, just when you think that you're safe, there are three tar pits, black as night, at the edge of the lava. You can sometimes see the browned bones of those who didn't manage to avoid the tar. If you get past these 10-foot traps, you'll see a band of rowan trees spanning the exit of the canyon. Welcome to the Fire Tribe. All newcomers must come here to be accepted into the tribe.

Dead Forest
A great forest of pines once stood here. Now, because of an ancient fire and some quirk of nature, most of the trees are burned, charred skeletons of the once-lush forest. There is much undergrowth here, but it is very hot and sunny. There are small herds of deer, but most of the prey is rabbits and other small creatures. There are few birds in this dead wood, making it rather quiet. In the center is a clearing with plenty of undergrowth to take shelter in, with a single large burrow in a small hillside. It is overall a rather haunting place, and there are many tales of dangers hidden in the trees. It is somehow very comforting to the Fire Tribe, however. (Main Tribe Land)

Sinai Desert
A vast, wide expanse of sand, with an oasis dotted every few miles, but not much else. The sands are carved into multiple dunes and ridges, making good vantage points of the wide, sweeping, golden valley. Each oasis, about three miles from the last, has a small pool of water, a few fed by a cold spring. Palm trees surround each oasis, offering some shade. Very few of the Fire Tribe come here, only those wolves that have adapted to hot climates. This land is the furthest south of all. Get to the edge of the desert, and you'll find a deep gorge, many wolf-lengths across and uncrossable. Across the gorge is a small, not very dense jungle. This is where Dajir and his band came from. It marks the southern edge of all the Tribes. Be careful you do not slip, for this is another world, different from your own. From the Earth's mountains to Water's beach, the desert spans a great distance.

Geyser Fields
At the beginning of Water Tribe land, closest to where the joining lands are, is a small valley of geysers. Some of them are Old Faithful-sized, a couple are powerful enough to send a large wolf hurtling 100 feet into the sky. But most are small, their water plumes only rising a few feet into the air, just above a wolf's head. It isn't a very dangerous place, and all the dangerous geysers are marked with an X scratched into the ground around them. Between the geysers is slightly muddy and marshy ground, with raised pathways between the marshes and geysers. One of the easier ways to get to a pack land. As soon as you are at the edge of the land, you can see a small stand of ash trees. You are now inside Water Tribe land. All newcomers must come here to be accepted.

Hot Springs
Ah...warmth. This land is a grassy meadow, with a few hot springs scattered around, as well as a small creek running through. The springs are very warm, perfect for warming up in winter, but be careful that you don't burn yourself, and do not drink the water! The creek provides the drinking water, and a cool bath in summer. It is a good place for the cubs to play around in, as it is warm almost year round, and has no big predators, except for the rare mountain lion. But he's just as afraid of the wolves as they are of him, maybe even more, and so usually stays away. There are some deer, but mainly rabbits. A relatively nice place. (Main Tribe Land)

The Beach
A long stretch of sand marks the edge of Water Tribe territory. The waters are shallow close to the sands, but become rapidly deeper, the only wading water about an eight of a mile from the low tide-marks. Small tide pools, etched in rock, dot the beach during the low tides, filled with anemones, sea stars, and occasionally small fish for the eating. The water is very cool, and refreshing in summer. A small stand of trees separates the hot springs' meadow from the sands of the beach. This is the eastern end of the Tribes' territories. Far out, beyond a wolf's sight, is the ocean, going on forever, it seems. The beach curves from the Fire Tribe's desert, to the Ice's snow plains, then continues on as a rocky coast, and then frigid ice-covered water.

Green Cliffs
Not exactly cliffs, per se. More of like an area of "ramps" in a canyon that leads to Earth Tribe land. The land is carved with many shelves, with a long, deep canyon in the middle. The terrain is nearly impassible, except for a walkway that goes directly from the entrance to the exit. With only a few steep inclines, it's a very easy route. But make sure that you stay on the wolf-length wide ramp, or you'll fall twenty feet to the nearest ledge, or even straight down into the rocky canyon. Be careful, and you'll arrive at a stand of oak trees. Here is the entrance to true Earth Tribe land. You must come here to be accepted into the tribe.

Hawk Wood
A small chunk of forest, inhabited by a large population of hawks. It is a rather green place, with plenty of ferns and other underbrush, perfect for small prey, and hiding the wolves while hunting. Deer abound in this beautiful land, and so the hunting is good. There is a large clearing in the middle of the forest, with a small yet deep cave in a hillside, and a small stream running off to the side, where the tribe gathers. (Main Tribe Land)

The Mountains
At the far west of Earth Tribe land, an immense mountain range spans from north to south, tapering off at the Ice Tribe's tundra and at the Fire's desert. Snow covers only the highest peaks, a gray-white cap on the dark gray rock and stone. Avalanches are uncommon, but in late winter to early spring, you'd better watch your step. The mountains go on for seemingly forever, creating a barrier between the Tribelands and the rest of the world. No wolf has ever made it all the way across the range and come back alive, but who would want to? There are mountain goats and rodents here, and with the addition of the Hawk Wood, there is no need to go anywhere else.

Snow Plains
A great, sprawling plain of almost nothing. The southern side has no snow, while the northern side is totally snow-covered. There is scant brush and vegetation out here, and one or two trees every so often, not much cover during the common storms. It is nearly all white out here, except for sone gray and brown spots where ground and branch stick out. the lack of truly deep, deep snow makes it a scary "wonderland." Only the strong of heart can survive this stretch of nothing. And when you reach the end, a band of birch trees marks the start of real Ice Tribe land. Newcomers must come here to be accepted.

The Tundra
A wide expanse, with more prey and scrub, but still about the same as the Snow Plains. There are some hills with shallow caves in them, and a small mountain range to the west, but other than that, it's not much. Out here there's caribou, reindeer, and rodents like rabbits and lemmings, so there's enough food for the pack. The tundra goes on for almost as far as the eye can see, until it meets the Icelands. (Main Tribe Land)

Icelands
At the edge of the tundra is where the sea starts. Only you wouldn't know it, because the coast and beyond is coveed by ice. A wolf tail-length thick in most places, the ice spans as far as the eye can see. Close to the land, it is a jumble of icebergs and shavings, all crashing together as the sea meets the coast. The ice below is constantly moving, shoving against other floes. It is white, sometimes gray. Further out, it is quieter, and the ice takes on a blue tinge, becoming rather beautiful. Be careful of the gray ice, as it is new, and will easily splash you into the freezing water. If the cold doesn't kill you, then the paralyzing and subsequent drowning will. There are sometimes seal breathing holes, and if you manage to catch one, it is very good eating. Be careful of melting ice, cracks, gray spots, and polar bears, and you'll be fine. Stretching from the eastern ocean to the mountains of the Earth Tribe, the ice spans for a good while. The very northern edge of Tribe territory.

Light Meadows
Those spirits that have done good in their lives go here, to a wide meadow spanning much of the skies above the living. Flowers and waterfall about here, and stands of rowan, birch, ash, and willow trees border the land, using a special magic to keep evildoers out of the sacred meadow. The grass is green, and seems to go on forever, never stopping, along with your energy. The wolves can run forever, and enjoy their new freedom. Here there are no cares, Alphas, or Omegas. Welcome to Ancheri, the Sweet Land of the Skies. If your wolf deserves to go here when he/she dies, the you will recieve a message from an admin.

Undecided Hills
A long plain of rolling hills, with a sluggish river snaking through, this land is for those wolves who have done no major right or wrong in their life. It is a place of peace, except for the occasional scuffle, but that is quickly stopped. There is nothing special about this world, only that all may come here, and there is no magic guarding the borders. This is Neutalia. If your wolf has not recieved a message about them from an admin, they must go here when they die.

Dark Forests
A deep forest of towering, menacing pines, oaks, and other trees, all wolves who have done massive cruelty in their lives go here when dead. The trees grow so high and their branches so wide that little light filters through. Just enough does so that the wolves here can pick it up and see. Many of them walk alone, only mates or close friends go together. There is a weak border between this land and the others, but anyone who really wants to can enter the shadowlands. It is impossible to get out into the other lands, however, once inside. It is a sad, bleak place. You have entered Deman, Evil Land of the Skies. You will recieve a message from an admin if your wolf must go here.

Daijorne Riverland
A great lake is in the center of the land, in the middle of all the Tribelands. Two rivers sprout from the eastern shore, making their way to the ocean in Water Tribe lands. In between them is a large island, almost triangle-shaped, with the Tribes' special trees dotted around. The land is grassy underfoot, making for good romps. However, that is not the reason for this area. This is where any femmes that cannot make their minds up as to their home may come, to be claimed by an Alpha.

Red Rocks
An arena of red-hued and red-splattered rocks marks the one-on-one fighting land. The rocks are arranged in a large oval, about ten wolf lengths long and half that wide. The rocks are tainted a reddish color by nature, but some are turned that by splattered and dried blood from some earlier fight. It is said that the ghosts of those murdered here before haunt the place, and only attack if you are not fighting. It is wise only to come if you are to battle, unless you intend to be foolish.

Common Caves
A network of underground caves spiderwebs across part of the Joining Lands. There are innumerable caverns hidden beneath the surface. Waterfalls, carving through the rock and earth, trickle throughout the place, giving a sort of white noise, though spooky if you are not taught what they are. There are no bats here, only rock and stone and earth. Any may come here, regardless of their home. It is looked down upon to state one's alliance, unless the two agree to do so. Anything can happen here: alliances made, friendships broken, mates bonded--it all can happen in this place of mystery and darkness.

Telling Pools
A wide clearing, filed with tall grass, and framed with five small pools in a pentagon shape, each fed by its own stream. One is surrounded by rowan trees, and has reddish clay on its banks. One has ash trees bordering it, and a blue-gray gravel. The third has three magnificent oak trees guarding the skies, and mossy rock underfoot. The fourth pool has birches, and bright white stones. The fifth and final pool is perhaps the most beautiful of all: surrounded by silvery willow trees, with sand of gold. This is where wolves may come to speak to the Wind Tribe. Go to your Tribe's pool, and be met by one of your own ancestors. Go to the fifth pool, and you will always meet with a wolf not previously of your own Tribe. Be careful, be respectful, and be in awe at what is around you.
