You mean you do a degree for 6 years! It can't be compulsary, can it?
Our schooling system is 4-11, primary school- leave with SATs qualification. 11-16 Secondary school- leave with GCSEs. Then, if you want to as its not compulsary, college from 16-18- leave with A levels or IB, or various other things depending on your choice. Then, again if you want, 18-21, go to university and get a basic degree. Things like phds or similar usually take a little longer- in total 7 years for phd or less for various other things. -------------------- --BANNED--

Wow thats queer. So in effect, if you want a higher platform of qualifications, you have to go to Uni- you can't just go to college like we can, and then onto uni if you want? Thats a bit lame...

Hmmm... very, very unfortunate. I feel sorry for you if you are planning on going into higher education- i'll be finishing my degree two years before you (if you were the same age as me), unless I wish to take an advanced degree such as a phd or whatever. Maybe you should consider coming to Britain for the final years of your education- perhaps if you've some relatives you could stay at theres? Seriously though, I really do feel sory for you...

Cool.
My sister is doing the International Bacchalouriate (however you spell it) at the moment and she thinks its really good. I suppose the advantage of it is it gives you a ticket to other countries' higher education system- which for you, seems like a wise idea. What British uni are you interested in- i'm looking towards either Cambridge, Oxford (if i'm smart enough for either, which i'm probably not) or somewhere in London, like the London School of Economics (LSE) or similar. Basically i'm looking for a degree in Business (around that anyway) so I can get a decent job, get rich, start up my own business, and get even richer. I'll be the next multi-millionaire! Hahaha! Then I can take over the world, mwuhahaha!!!... -------------------- --BANNED--

Maybe we have different types of IB. I've said we do ours at college so if you wanna do it, you'll have to come here- unless you can just go to uni and do it for two years or whatever. Basically though, as far as I know, you can't do zoology at IB level as thats a focus area. The IB is supposed to be split into 6 areas- science, mathematics, languages, arts, humanities and something else. You have to pick one subjuct from each genre and do that.
Things like zoology would be done at university as it is a specialist subject and therefore, colleges won't do it. -------------------- --BANNED--
