yes, I asked Mirage knight there if we could merge, but he liked the low lethality rates of DOW, so he declined.
the Tabletop round-up mod here isn't quite as tabletop-close as Dawn of warhammer 40K is (It isn't called the Rebirth mod anymore). the TTRU mod is based around tabletop rules, but more towards the fluff & fiction stories than Dawn of 40K.
That is why Necrons are very powerful in the TTRU mod (next release) & that Eldar vehicles are faster than normal.

Hm... I wouldn't recommend you downloading this version, it looks quite bad this time, screwed damages - so it looks completely different from what it should be... Looks like mockery of Fatality mod ;)

have you guys seen the new tyranid units? for the tyranid mod and the trygon animations!!!!!!

Why is it that the Tyranid is making such slow progress? Are there issues with the animators or what?
Yes, the trygon does look pretty good, though there aren't many other new models in-game yet, aren't there?

Does anyone know why it's said that the DOW game engine doesn't do Tyranids justice?
If the Nids mod team has already got about half of their models working, then what's the problem?
Have they got Gaunts working in-game yet?
Those bio-morphs would be spectacular if they worked.
Most would be researches, some would be just separate units like Termagaunts & hormagaunts.
However - Which ones would be upgrades for the units themselves? You can't get the weapon beast upgrade anymore - so no Venom Cannon gaunts!
DOWXP - another Table-top mod. However, the damage values aren't changed much aren't they?
How is it different from Our mod & the Dawn of Warhammer mod?

The Steel Legion Mod is worth a look in. Totally complete, full models etc and AI.

We now have working AI for most of the units in our mod anyways.
The Steel legion mod is practically complete though. The same team are now working on the Armageddon mod, which focusses on Orks rather than the Steel Legion alone.
In fact, we actually have some of the Ex-steel Legion mod things that were for Orks & Eldar.
Those are the Gunwagon, Grotz gangs, Grot tanks & Eldar Jetbikes.
They were removed from the later versions of the Steel legion mod though.

Just som enews on other mods
BFG Mod- got half the tau fleet moddelled alongside random imperial naval vessels, and a few stations, we are starting texturing, animation, fx and coding , well pretty much now
Skynet Mod - Pretty much where it was last time.

Skynet mod is probably a lost cause. BFG however IMO should've been done in Homeworld 2, but anyways...

its easy if you are using skirmish ai, i can do it it just takes ages, its just a case of rename rename and rename and revalue
if you were interested in leaving your mark on BFG mod then just apply on forums and we can find a one off for you :D

More BFG Mod News
BFG Mod team now has some more modelers and work is steaming, stuff is in game and moving (only ramming currently but, though funny, guns come soon)

Wow, talk about quality models!
Some of those look really high-polygon models however. Are you sure that they're within the polygon limit of the game.
None of the bigger things should have any more than 4000 polygons maximum. Smaller ships perhaps about 2000.

The Ramiles Class Starfort is 1.4million Poly's, its a movie piece, its corporeal counter part in the game will be similar but less up close detail, the ships are on bat, we now have a full SM fleet

Dunno, its being scaled as we type, um 5000 maybe, we get away with high polys as each player has max of 5 buildings and 10 ships at a time anyway

5000 is still too high, should be roughly half that amount. I think you should invest in a better texture instead.

beta will have tau, sm or IN, only 2 of above though, then we release expansions with full races until all races and ships in there, eldar release will be eldar plus the 3 races from previous releases, we need an eldar enthusiast who doesnt play bfg to give insight
