TAGcon 2009, Where are organisers at?

This topic is for all Umpires at TAGcon. I'm just wanting to know where you guys are at for prizes, medals, certs, other stuff you will be needing. just leave a comment with your name and the event your running and then the stuff you have got done and not done please.

Vouchers for 1st 2nd 3rd Paintinf and sports have been ordered and I will have them wednesdays

Medals I will be trying to get to the engravers before the meeting so I can sort them out ASAP

Terrain/Tables
We should have enough terrain if I ask around. Tablewise there are 7 painted/textured ones in storeage room but am a little unsure where they got the extras from last year.

Cheers for that Steve, i'll ask Adam where he got the extra boards from last year ASAP and should have info for the committee on Wensdays meeting.

Adam says that Owen grabbed the tabes from somewhere and sheets were used for the extra tables

About 9 or so table tops were stored at Owens underground grotto at his place. I helped unload a heap with Cal Manson (all of us now passed on, so sad, looks down ) and there were a two or three tables once from the boys in Geraldine. The ice table was way cool. Weighed and absolute ton and had to be trailer with a tarpaulin cover to and back again.. I lost my cell phone doing that and then had it returned some three weeks later when the y found just before they would have run it over with the lawnmower.

No .. that was the year before.. that was when wearing onions on the hip was all the fashion an we did that before those people in Shelbyville...


So do you have the "Cheese" award agian... that was soo cool.

Hey um .... any BBQ after the games? Someones place?
Or use the coin operated BQ's at teh beach, centanial park...??? bring your own folding chair? buy a folding chair? rent a chair, fundraiser? A few patio heaters and few beers?

Also as the FOW dudes aren't doing much , and they used to run a BBQ kinda in house with FOW players whats the alternative?

I have no idea whats happening this year regards to this, and I dont think I'm incharge of it. I do know that for fact that there will be casual gaming after the saturday gaming, at no charge.

Im good for terraign, but i still need to sort out tables and cloths. also i am waithing to hear back from Owen about prizes.

hi, prizes are sorted for LOTR, the committee needs to sign a check for Comics Compulsion to cover the costs.

(Big ups to them, they are giving us a MASSIVE discount)

the table tops used last year were a mixture of textured tops (the ones Maurice did) and plain ones with cloths.

All of these should be at the club, and the cloths too.

Some of the plain table tops were also used by FoW last year, so we should have heaps.
May need some more cloths thou.

Right lads, 2 weeks out, i need a status report? ie tables, terrain, medals, prizes, misc

We still run FoW stuff Martin, just not in conjunction with the club- late summer at my place. Free entry, BBQ etc + a place to crash for those that need it. Was a good weekend (did a teams event this year with 16 players) and looking for ideas for next years theme.


We will be there this year, just playing a Napoleonics demo and, apparently, ACW

prizes sorted, tables sorted? medals got screwed up, but apart from that im all go.

This wensday night 26 of augest we need to sort out what terrian is going and what isn't this counts for all wargaming areas. ill be taking as much of terrian as i can even damaged ones for repairs for tagcon we also need people on friday nite to assist in setting up tables and get things sorted.
