hi, after getting my new metal toys off John I thought I would have a go at weathering painting my own style over top of the original paint job.

The painting theme is based on a 4th border legion force that has been in the field far beyond the normal time spent in active service

welll this is (mosty) my own scheme biggrin.gif . (should have done a before and after shot)
The only things that are the same colour as before are the silvers of the legs and joints, but even they where given a shading wash, and a quick highlight. The picture dosn't show it as well but the main colouring on the armour plates is a really dirty brown washed over a much lighter green.

anyways, here is some pics of the Old Witch, and scrapjack

My pics are not that great, and as such the colours are a bit different to the actual minature paint job.

OOh My G!

That is a very nice collection. I think you havn't reeived enough praise her for your painting.

Nicely photographed too.

Nicley added to your post as well.

I really do like the weathered appearance.

I have an idea for you too...
considering hte faded weathered machines. Perhaps too long in the field.. I would expect to see some repairs.
Rerpairs can be any of the following:

New bright spare parts.

old scavanged spare parts.

Mismatched spare parts... (which leads to the idea of .. when ws that last tie you saw a multi coloured panneled car .. not since the eighties!

Thats right nowadays we get a new one of the right colour. A sign of a good spare parts industry.

Another idea.... what happened to the pirate in Tresure island when he got battel damaged... wooden leg?

How about a an A team adaption.. say a draw bridge door for a shield... ??? Wagon wheel?

Your pallet.

Well, these boys are actually being over hauled as they didn't have enough detail for my liking. Its been a bit of a disaster but Now I am building up over a dirty wash with a stippled goblin green on the War Jacks. I am also adding my own chipped paint job. By the end (hopefully blink.gif ) They will look a lot better.

And Yes John it will be my own scheme laugh.gif
