Here is a wee guide to add pictures to your posts.
Firstly, you will need to upload your photo onto the internet.
This will need to be done at a independent site, as there is no hosting here sorry.
There are a number of sites that do it for FREE.
Here are some:
FlickrPhotoBucketImageShackTinyPicPictTo name but a few, I use Flickr personally, so I cant really vouch for the others but I know lots of people who use PhotoBucket and ImageShack.
Most are free to sign up and upload some photos or you can pay for more advanced features (ie uploading video)
Second, you'll want to get the URL of the image. This will be stored somewhere on the website when you look at your uploaded image.
The URL will look something like this:
http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3435/3359310162_4c62d57f69.jpgNote it should end in a
.jpg or
.bmp or similar.
Easiest way to copy it, I find, is to highlight and Copy (Ctrl C)
then, you'll want to come over here, and place it into your post.
In the Post New Topic window, where you type in your message, you'll need to hit the IMG button up the top, Paste (Ctrl V) in the picture URL, click OK and your done.
The UBB code will appear in your message.
It will look like this:
[ IMG ] http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3435/335931..._4c62d57f69.jpg [ /IMG ](just without the spaces.)
This is the message that links to your picture once the post is published.
You can always add [IMG][/IMG] around an image URL yourself, if your feeling confidant.
So if everything went right, you should have picture sitting nicely in your post.
