Painted some Hq figs, Painted my new HQ figs

Hi,

I painted my new HQ figs in the past few weeks.

So I thought I wouldpost them for you to havea look at.

Nice work Martin!
Howd you do the shading on the faces?
Ink wash?

Faces are painted very simply....

Total figure undercoated with black painted thined with Pino floor or klear floor polish.

after painting other areas I paint first accross the brow. leaving eye sockets untouched, then down each cheak very carefully. Then accross chin. and finally very gently down the nose.

Some people go further and high light this further with a lighter colour. I don't At this scale for table top it is enough.

here is an example of the best painting in FOW I have seen in my life...
note the Iron cross ribbons and 5 o clock shadow.

You'd hate the hear what I¡¦ve painted in the past couple of weeks

SS Panzer Grenadier Company- 2x platoons, HMG platoon, Pak 40s (I am sick of camo), panzershreks etc. I have a 3rd platoon ready to do camo on but only need 2 platoons for the company at this stage

8x 5.5 inch Guns (Brits) + 4x Sextons, 3x Churchills.

4x105mmGuns + crews (US) for Scott on Sunday night

Finally, got round to highlighting and decals on 13x Cromwell¡¦s and 4x M10s last night

Have a panzer IV company on the way.

Painted 2x JR Miniatures large ruins tonight¡K

And that¡¦s all I remember off the top of my head.

Must try to get more gaming in and less painting.

Am about to start on Mediterranean terrain for TAGCON next¡K

Wow Craig.. that is aserios amoun of work you have complete there.

I am only too sure you are sick of camo. However that all depends on your meathod yo use.
I fin it esier to paint figures than vehicles.

However now I need to say somthing different .. since airbrushing I have finished my 18 or so Pz IV's.
I need to finish thedetails though.. the drivers, comanders and add on stowage etc.

I have purchased some armoured and elf prpelled AA to compliment this force.
I have shwimmenwagens to paint yet too.

Plus some other huge list of stuff.

I am still thinking of taking infantry to TAGCON though..although the idea of bringing a tank army has amused my mind latley.
Especially as hear tat CHurchills will be abscent
