disk info:
the disk I got is a direct transfer from film ..... but my copy is a copy from a vhs. their is also a tv record, recorded from turkish television (yisilcam). tv broadcast looks the same as my version .... only mine doesnt has the tv logo in the screen.
the print is not great .... very dark and it has some damage .... bt still good the watch.

Tom Braks is orriginaly a comic figure ..... probably hte only thing that the movie has in commen with the comic is that the main caracter is called tom braks and that he is blond.

the movie is more or less a direct copy of They call me trinity .... a few details are different ..... but you can recognise the atmosphere etc from the trinity movie.

for introduction:
Good = smile.gif
Bad = angry.gif

user posted image smile.gif Tom Braks = İstemi Betil

user posted image smile.gif Sam Braks = Hüseyin Zan

user posted image smile.gif Selmina = Deniz Erkanat

user posted image smile.gif Selmina's sister = Elif Pektas

user posted image angry.gif Estaban = Zeki Tüney

user posted image angry.gif Rodrigez = Orhan Çoban

the movie

as mentioned above, the movie is more or less a direct copy of the trinity movie.
the story is very weak and their is not so much to say about it ..... its more an atmosferic movie, a comedy western.

tom braks is a clear copy of terence hill ..... tom sleeps most of the time on his cannon that is pulled by his horse, the horse is wearing an umbrella hat.

tom comes across some bandits (we will see essaban the bandit and his man throught the whole movie) they have a girl with them. tom saves the girl from the bandits and takes the girl with him.

a scee follows, that is allmost direct coped from trnity. tom goes for soemthing to eat with the girl. he starts eating like he hasnt been eating for weeks .... he's eating without manners, smacking, burping, stuffing his mouth full etc

tom comes in town to look for his brother, the sheriff Sam Braks. Sam isnt really a sheriff, more a horse thief, but he got the job by giving himself out to be somebody els .... and the position he has now is pretty comfortable. sam isnt to happy to see his brother tom, he doesnt want tom to interfair with the nice life he is living now ...... like in the trinity movie .....

estaban steals a golden crucifix from some pore drunk, after he rides in town and starts scaring the town folks. tom and sam get into a bar fight with estaban and his man .... funny music can be heared and a slapstick barfight takes place.
sam finds the golden crucifix on estaban and asks him were he got it from. sam wants to keep the golden crucifix a secret for tom, but tom allready saw that sam took it.

Sam goes out looking for the gold, and tom follows him on a distance. tom comes across a pretty girl (selmina) that is washing herself in the river. tom folls around a bit with the girl and the girl takes tom with her to the monestery were she lives with her pretty sister.
strange that the two pretty girls are living with the monks .... allways tought monks like little boys!
tom has a nice time fooling around with the 2 girls, one day sam also arrives at the monestery looing for the gold that should be hidden their.

estaban and his man come to the monestery too look for the gold aswell, tom chases them away with his cannon. tom and sam start learning the monks how to fight, incase estaban and his man will return.
sam is digging holes the whole day looking for the gold and tom is enjoying himselve with the 2 girls.
one day estaban comes again with his man, their is a big fist fight in which all are included. the bandits loose the fight. - the end - ??

the end comes pretty surprised .... their was allmost no story in the movie .... but the story that was their , is never finnished! we never know what happened to te gold .... or were the gold is.

but its an enertaining movie .... funny to see a turkish trinity copy.
for the people that like bud and terence movies, this is a nice curiosity

and the dvdr sleeve a made for the movie

Tom Braks is the italian comic book known as "Capitan Miki", another carachter released by the trio EsseGEsse (Sartoris-Guzzon-Sinchetto) also responsible for "Il comandante Mark/Captain Swing" and Kinowa

It's not strange that all of these comic heroes created by EsseGEsse were taken into movies in Turkey because they were (and still are) really popular overthere
