What was the first tape you ever bought/owned?

Mine was a Troma's war tape from Cult Epics, dutch release. Picked it up for 3 euros at the local videoshop

Great Idea for a thread ! up.gif

My first tape was Castellari's Metropolis 2000 - The new Barbarians smile.gif

Bought it in a rental-store around 2001 for 1 Euro , totally loved the movie (+still do so) and I started to pick up more tapes like Fireflash , Roboman , Riffs 3 - Nights of Terror ... so the start of my collection was indeed italian post-apocalyptic stuff ! cool.gif

Dutch RCV sell thru of Reservoir Dogs.
Played it about twenty times, which was pretty noticable due to the sucky tape stock.

The first tape I ordered from abroad was UK tape of Santa Sangre. And il Rosso segno della follia was the first Finnish ex-rental. Maybe 1991 or something like that...

It was a sell through tape (koopvideo) of:

"Return of the jedi". I was so happy. I think I bought for 30 guilders.

Worth now: .25 cents in a second hand store.

I saved up all my pennies and was finally able to buy copies of ALIEN and ALIENS, the movies I had been dreaming about seeing for years. I think I was 8 or 10 at the time.
