I was wondering what the average age is on the forum.
Are there many young VHS collectors? Or most of us really lived the golden age of VHS.

I'm 25, so although I used to rent vhs as a child, when I really started collecting vhs the format was already dying.

I had a collection when I was younger but when I started collecting dvd I threw all my collection to the garbage...
Then I really repented and started collecting vhs again.

I started to rent videos in 1981 and has been a hardcorecollector
since 1990. That's nearly 20 years.

34 yo.

Been collecting movies since my teens. Not that hc, just like to have movies I like to watch. Started collecting dvds in the late 90's but over the past years I started to collect tapes again. And last year I decided to start collecting only gialli and cult classics vipcos from the late 90's.
The tapes simply take too much space.

I've sold most of my dvds and now I'm selling my Dutch and Danish tapes.
Also selling other misc tapes like japs.

But I'm keeping my old ex rental greeks. The Greeks released so much magnificent rubbish. laugh.gif

So I guess I'm hc collecting giallis and vipcos these says. Occasionally I do buy dvds if I find anything to watch, but I usually put em' up for sale almost right away.

I'm 39.

I think I have collected allmost every system of film! Super 8, VHS, Laserdisc, dvd.
I collected, switch to better versions and uppgraded all systems etc for 2o years.

Then, a couple of years ago I desided to sell off, first all of my LD's then all my VHS (besides the Fulci versions - that I still collect very much) and finally most of my dvd's.

It's quiet nice to not be that depending!!!!

Been collecting for 20 years or so with up and downs. Has been many times I wanted to stop collecting vhs due to lack of space but that is of no importance anymore nowadays. I have space enough now cool.gif

cult classics vipcos

Some people might call those (sometimes cut and fullscreen) Vipco tapes "rubbish", Kurt. 000.gif
(not me of course. I mean, I collect Made In Hong Kong and Eastern Heroes tapes for crying out loud).
