These are OK action flicks. Made in Germany by Turkish label so they are in Turkish language (songs remain in hindu). I have some too (not these of yours). If you like the genre they're OK. I mainly like the ones with females involved!
I just noticed tyou say you're not familiar with the genre at all. Bollywood movies are a kind of unique, there is a lot of romance & drama and also plenty of local songs & dances, movies turn partly to musicals. So maybe you have just to test a couple for the beginning. But only if they are cheap, don't spend money of them. |

Miltos has explained quite well the 'Bollywood' film in general. However, I have to add that there are also more 'art-house' type of films in Indian cinema, the best of which would stand proudly alongside the Antonionis, De Sicas, Truffauts, and Bergmans of the world. These films have a very different tone than the typical Bollywood production, and generally inclined towards realism. Often, they don't have lengthy running times or song-and-dance numbers, either.
A few examples: Genesis, Khandar, Holi, Mirch Masala, Bhumika, Chakra, Ardh Satya, Pathar Panchali, Jalsaghar, etc. If you want to test the typical Bollywood fare, here are some good titles to star with: Sholay, Don, Aap Ki Kasam, Deewar, Agneepath, Himmatwala, Zakhmi Aurat, Ram Lakhan, Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar, Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman, Kaho Na Pyar Hai, etc. |

Thanks guys , well , I`ve seen some parts of later bollywood flicks on TV while changing channels , which in fact I didn`t enjoy at all , so I switched away . I never saw an entire movie and thought it was crap , but there are some titles from the 70ties that sounded interresting , conscidering the trash-factor
The titles I posted before are currently on german ebay , along with some other turkish ones , I thought there might be some nice trash to find there ( some of the covers , Son Mahkeme and Mücevher Hirsizi are very cool ) ! I will post the link to these auctions in the new ebay section here , there are some cool Cüneyt Arkin titles , too .... I´m short of money for the moment anyway |

Yes, please post the link if you're not willing to buy. I haven't much money either (we ALL are in the same situation lately!) but who knows?
