I was surprised to see that there has been no review or discussion (even mention) of this film on these forums...anyone have any views on it?
I have a copy of the film but have yet to watch it. However, from the bit i checked out it looks like great zombie fun! |

German Amazon only mentions German dubbing and German subs
There's also a US release (Greek audio + Eng. subs, and a much better cover http://www.amazon.com/Evil-Themis-Katz/dp/...00158127&sr=8-1 Jack -------------------- 2019 AD. The only blog that survived the nuclear holocaust: EN LEJEMORDER SER TILBAGE

German amazon is never credible with that.
These guys are much more reliable: http://dvd-forum.at/15792/vorschau_detail.htm Concerning the cover you are absolutely right! The Germans released even a steelbook! |

There is also an English subtitled Greek DVD release by Audio Visual but rather expensive (about 20 Euros)
I haven't watched it yet but I've heard from other Greek fans that is a very amateur movie with tons of gore but also tons of silly jokes...But I never trust others' opinions you know It has been transfered to film and had a theatrical release also... |

Usually i find shot-on-video films to be quite hard to watch. Just seeing some of them for a few seconds or minutes can make me turn off if the look of the film sucks and the acting and tone feel wrong...it is just something that has always bothered me!
But TO KAKO, from the couple of minutes i checked out, looked like a decent production for that type of shot-on-video production and looks like great fun. I think i'll have to find the extra time over the next few days to sit down and watch it... |

The story isn’t very innovative, but I would not blame them for this. They are not alone. (Most recent example: I am Legend.)
The actors are better than I expected within an direct-to-video production. But you can see the low budget from the equipement: The voices of the Greek Audio are very silent and are drowned out by the sound of the background noise. The picture is a little bit grainy, but presumbly made intentionally. The use of the steady cam is too excessive in my opinion, and so is the use of split screen. I do not like such mannerisms very much. The shocking scenes could have been more, but the movie is quite entertaining anyway. During the first 30 minutes I thought that the movie takes itself too serious, but this feeling was gone with the restaurant scene. At the end I was pleased with the mix of personal drama and self mocking splatter. Not an outstanding piece of art, but definitely worth a watch or two ... |

I was unlucky enough to catch a theatre screening 2 years ago and I nearly left!
The most annoying piece of crap I've ever seen. Witha bunch of filthy greek characters and pathetic jokes. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!! SABOTAGE IT!!! BURN IT!! FUCK IT!! |

As I said I haven't seen it yet and I can say is not one of my priorities...And what we have is two different opinions here.
But I must say that I support independent film makers, especially from Greece where we don't really have a horror industry. These guys are at least very clever as they managed to give the film to theaters & festivals and TO KAKO has already a couple DVD releases abroad. Also Audio Visual released it here (and not any independent label). So I suppose the film is somehow succeed and this is something, don't you agree? Of course this doesn't make it good, I know... |

It’s always a matter of taste, isn’t it?
Of course the characters are pretty simple. But I myself cannot remember a zombie flick with sophisticated characters. So I did not expect something like that and wasn’t annoyed at these stereotypes. The restaurant and the foot eater scenes were really funny. And I was very amused that the girl got a suitable punishment for giving herself to this asshole of a taxi driver. Normally something like that never happens. |
