In the meantime I found the official RELEASE of GHOST OF GUTS EATER in america under an obscure label!!!

* Nah! I'm just kidding. I had lots of free time today and wanted to try out the latest version of Photoshop so I came up with this. It is my gift to Cinehounders who want to add up a DVD cover to their DVD-R of GHOST OF GUTS EATER. cheers.gif

** Also, I couldn't find any english review of the film so I sticked with the Scandinavian resume featured on the back of the VHS. If anybody have an english synopsis please let me know I'll change it.

*** For unknown reasons I had some problems uploading this .jpg with both imageshack and photobucket ??? If you want a hi-res of it just PM me, I can send it to you by email. wink.gif

Jean-Claude also showed scans of a couple of dvds from Cambodia and those obviously exist. But (to me anyway) they're different films than the ones were really talking about.

Euh... what for, Jack ? I have seen both movies by now, and they are exactly about the monster known as "penanggalan, "manananggal", "krasue", etc. in different countries. Not only a flying head, but a flying head with dangling intestines. To the other hand, the flying head in "The Warrior" is just a flying head, not a krasue !

The sequel of "Snaker : Ghost Wife", aka "The Snake King's Child" (Cambodia/Thailand, 2001) and directed by Fai Samang, is called "The Snake Child's Grandchild" and was made in 2005 and directed by the same man. It appears to be a purely Cambodian production this time and in a long sequence the heroes are attacked by several krasues (I know, it's not the Khmer word, but the monster is the same). So, with the two mentioned in my earlier posts, we now have (at least) three recent khmer movies dealing with this female creature !

Euh... what for, Jack ?

I haven't watched any of the ones from Cambodia but I remember seeing them listed on a web shop quite a while back and they were described as comedies. So in other words they seemed like horror comedies and not right out horror movies like MYSTICS IN BALI. But like I said; I haven't seen them and I'm sure the flying head with intestines is the same kind. cool.gif

PS - the Cambodian movies mentioned earlier have some comedy, but no more than usually in many Asian movies in the horror genre...

Here's a better upload. (I left some bleed all around for cutting)

By the way, does anybody speaks Scandinavian or knows a good Scandinave translator program? (Also, is that tape of Ghost of Guts Eater from Scandinave?).
Anyway, I would be willing to retype the script if someone can translate it. After I would volonteer to do subs for this version like I did previously for GINSENG KING.

Yes the tape is from Scandinavia, Sweden to be exact. And yes I speak "Scandinavian". I'm going to translate the subs at some stage (unless someone beats me to it).

I don't think I quite follow you? unsure.gif What do you mean "re-write the script"? I've already got the Swedish vhs version on a DVD-r directly off Lars Jacobsen's tape. I'll just translate the subtitles from there.
