Zagor dvdr review, Turkish Western Collection

the movie I review today is Zagor (1970)
directed by Mehmet Aslan

No promotion poster/image of the movie could be found.

disk info:
the disk I got is as far as i know the only print available. recorded from turkish television.
their is a constant white noise over the audio track and the sound sometimes skips ..... not the best quality. also the image is damaged....

Even the title of the movie is Zagor, the movie has nothing to do with the Italian Zagor comic figure.
The movie stars Yilmaz Köksal and Cihangir Gaffari but the 2 acters never act together in the movie. The movie excists out of 2 stories Yilmaz and Gaffari's .... wich have nothing to do with each other. 2/3 of the movie is about Zagor, the rest about Yilmaz. Got the impression that the movie excists out of 2 unfinished or 2 incomplete movies. that they used some scene's they found on film and edded them together in 1 movie. Also I couldn't find any promotion poster/images of the movie

The scene's are very enjoyable, a lot of action. wasn't bored for the hour the movie runs.

the movie:
zagor is wondering through the desert, complete exosted he meets a man and a women. the man invits zagor to stay with them. the man becomes zagors friend and he teaches zagor how to use the pistol. between zagor and the friend girl some romantic feelings develop.
it doesnt take long and zagor controlls the pistol as good as his friend. this is for zagor the moment to move on. he contineous his journy alone ... looking for some old friends that betrayed him in the past and took zagors gold.. he fiends his friends and he takes back the gold that belongs to him without shooting his 3 old bandit friends ..... the 3 friends dont like what happend and start to follow zagor.

zagor returns to his 2 friends in the desert (girl and friend) but he sees that the friend is dead .... killed by some bandits. zagor takes care of the girl, andtakes her with him on his journy.

4 man steel yilmaz köksals horse. the same 4 man attack yilmaz farm. they ty yilmaz dad up, he has to tell the bandits were his money is. yilmaz dad refuse to tell, so the bandits knife yilmaz mom and rape his sister. when the bandits are done you can see blood and the moms back from the knife cuts, and blood dripping from the sister leg from the rape
the bandits also kill the dad, before they leave they steall all value's that the family has on them and set the farm on fire.
yilmaz enterce the house and sees his whole famely lying dead on the floor.... the father has a knife stapped in his throath!

yilmaz sweares revange and goes for the bandits packed with a big bag full of dynamite. yilmaz hides the dynamite around the hide-out of the bandits. a gun fight follows some serious explosions apear ... and they look very dangerous .... looks like they were realy blowing things up! wouldnt be surprised when some acters were really hurt in this scene.
all bandits are dead .....

zagor went back for the corps of his friend so that they could give him a respectfull funerel. out of respect for his friend hi makes out with the girl of his friend on his friends grave ???
zagor goes to find the people who are responsible for the killing and kills them one by one.

the bandit leader hears that zagor is killing all his man, so he dicided too kill zagor. they set up a trap for zagor. when the trap doesnt work the bandits decide to get zagor through his girl. zagor gets to the resque and shoots all bandits. the final fight is between zagor and the banddit leader. the fight takes place in a river. zagor drowns the bandit leader with his hands and saves the girl.

their are more spelling mistakes .... Zager , posterof and not to forget an english speaking person would never make sentences like I do ..... is all part of the charms of the turkish westerns

Im still looking for a good gluy to fix the photograph to the plastic ...... gluy should be to agrassive that It will damage the pictuere, but strong anuff to stick the picture,cardboard and plastic together.
