Very little is known about this movies so I’m writing this topic (cross-posted with two other italian forums) hoping somebody could help with informations (maybe Suise Arabia or Sweeny Todd ?). None of this films is particularly good, production value are generally low, spfx poor, and tend to be boring in parts, but are so obscure that really got my attention.
The first title in this “series” is Tsu Hong Wu. ![]() ![]() HKMDB credits: http://hkmdb.com/db/movies/view.mhtml?id=9...display_set=eng Tsu Hong Wu (1971 ?) Country: Taiwan Genre: Fantasy Director Chui Dai-Gwan Cast Peter Yang Kwan Chu Jing Suen Yuet Chiang Ming Cho Kin (1) Su Chen-Ping Ding Keung Ng Ho (1) Chan Suk-Chu Yau Lung (1) Cheung Kwong-Chiu Yim Chung Nam Wan Poon Chuen-Ling Kong Do Fai Wan Wang Suen Tin Mung Wong Yuen-Bo Ting Chung (2) Yeung Lit Siu Bo Tin Ming (1) Tsai Hung Hau Siu-Dai Chan Kim-Ping Hui Man-Chuen Cheung Ching-Diy Kok Man-Lai Kong Yeung (4) Assistant Director Cheung Wang-Gei Presenter Chen Ching-Te Something interesting to notice is that also credited is a japanese as special effects technician. Unfortunately I don’t recognize his name (read first four rows on the right, name is fourth row with bigger kanji and, presumably, must be read bottom-top) even if rings a bell... ![]() Tsu Hong Wu should be the first movie with the white monkey, the red haired Majin and the golden flying dragon. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Then we have its sequel, SEA GOD AND GHOSTS
![]() Here looks like is credited to a HK company but maybe refers about distribution and not production ![]() HKMDB credits: http://hkmdb.com/db/movies/view.mhtml?id=1...display_set=eng Sea God And Ghosts (1977 ??) Alias: Prince of the Dragon King Country: Taiwan Genres: Martial Arts Fantasy Director Gam Sing-Yan Action Directors Phillip Ko Fei Chen Shih-Wei Cast Chia Ling Got Heung-Ting Siu Wong-Lung Phillip Ko Fei Tsang Chiu Chang Chi-Ping Ngai Ping-Ngo Ma Cheung (1) Chu Siu-Wa Wong Kwok-Fai (2) Kei Ho-Chiu Clement Yip Chiu-Yuk Hing Oi-Wa Ko Gam-Dai Lam Ching-Ying (1) ??? Summary Note : 1977 is an estimated year. The miniature and monster footage used in the film was recycled from Tsu Hong Wu. This summary is partially correct as footage from TSU HONG WU is used as a recap from the first movie, we have again the white monkey and the red haired Majin but also a new fight between the Golden Dragon and an evil green Dragon (inspired by Sanda Vs Gaira?) ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() There’s a review on WTF-Film.com - http://wtf-film.com/site/2009/07/06/sea-god-and-ghosts/ |

About TSU HONG WU, it seems to be a 1983 movie according to them.
I found this info here and I think you can also download it for free http://www.voole.com/movie/3519 at least they show some poster art (or VHS art). Here is FAIRY and The DEVIL: Fairy and the Devil I guess you have the movies already but if it can help track down more info I found useful to post those links. |
