A very nice DVD with English subtitles is available in Czech Republic. It was one of the first Czech DVDs that I ever bought.

I bought my dvd of the movie in china! the trashmountain japanese dvd......its a chinese piratet copy, so with optional chinese, mandarine or japanese subs...no english subs sad.gif

lovely release.....image is perfect and widescreen!
is their also an english version of the movie?

I love the slow motion bar fighting scene.
the movie is full with surrealistic scene's....a real joy the watch

The Czech DVD has English opening credits as an extra, so it seems that an English-language version exists.

Just occurred to me; I remember reading somewhere that this was one of Henry Fonda's favorite films.
