I was hoping for an excellent haul, because the mom from a girl I know had a videostore from the 80ies until the beginning of 2000.
ALL tapes were there, untouched by other collectors, so I was psyched to go on treasurehunting today.
An hour before I had to go she texted me, saying that her mom threw all the tapes way last week :( :( :(

Don't know mate...that was the first big haul in years that I could find...I think there are almost no more people with a big lot in some cellar or basement...all the goodies are sold or thrown away I think....

And I agree with you, these treasures are getting very hard to find. Brucecampbell just seems to have great luck with tapes in Belgium - but it seems everywhere else is fucken dried up. :(

The haul is in hands of a seventy year old woman...and she has MORE than 5000 tapes!

BUT....

SHE WON'T LET ME COME OVER! She said to my colleague to give her a list with movies I wanted...but come on, I can go on forever making a list with all the titles!

So I wrote down some titles and labels (vro, VFP, EVC,...) that she can look after...she claims she has all the tapes categorised in a book. She used to buy all the tapes from several videostores in the eighties, then she lend them out in her neighbourhood for a price.

It's not only her bassment, also her cellar and 2 big rooms that are stacked till the ceiling with VHS and betas! She's a huge movie afficionado
